Trialtech Sport Lite Forks

Received my Trialtech Sport Lite forks and noticed a weld leading up the fork. I don't know if there's actually any reason for the weld to be there but it seems unnatural and looks as if its a machine fault. Has anyone else got it? I've noticed on the images on Tartys of both the 20" & 26" forks they have it also but then it could just be me being picky

...probably disc mount stress related.

- Disc Only model: IS disc mount has a unique feature to the Trialtech Sport Lite fork range - an extended weld path that wraps around the fork leg reduces stress build up to help prevent cracking at the end of the disc tab.

Yeah I originally looked at the details for the 4 Bolt mount as I was thinking of heading that direction but it was a last minute thought of going disc and didn't think to read the description for it.

My bad for a bit of a pointless post here but cheers for giving me the answer

I guess I should have expanded that statement to 'any fork will break at some point'. In general*, the ~550g carbon ones last longer than ~800g alloy ones though, from my experience.

*There are so many other factors, this is a general sweeping statement!

In that they share the same legs/steerer as the Disc version, I'd assume it's around the 4-bolt mounts. I know that's pretty vague, but if you keep an eye on them as you would (should :P) any normal set of alloy 4-bolt forks you should be good.
