The answer is a most definate yes. So, if you post updates on TF about your website, Id appreciate it if you could add a link to TF in return. There's nothing forcing you to do so - its completly up to you. The more sites we have linking to TF, the higher in google we will rank, therefore losing less visitors to other, poorer quality ((Y)), competitors hahaha. Yeah anyway, the more people we get off google, will mean more people finding your site on TF then visiting it - win win situation methinks. Jake Posted August 23, 2004 Report Share Posted August 23, 2004 Here's a few I made, hopefully one for every sites' colour scheme, they're pretty simple, but only because I didn't really spend very long on them: and (bit different/random style) Don't know what to do about the watermark, and it's PNG because then I get transparency, good quality and small file sizes, these are about 12k because they're also interlaced. We get a fair bit of traffic so can't be a bad thing, even if it isn't really a trials related site. Is the code you first supplied still useable? If so I will get my brother to do his thing and put it up on the links page (Y). I have plugged the site a fair bit on the forum so it's only fair really. I may put a forum link in the navigation bar, but as "Forum". So google will find it harder to index it. Will go up soon though, as the webhosting link is going so will have more room. Check it out, they used to pay well for us but its gone downhill recently to the point where theyre just there to use up any 'spare' banner views. I think that just might be for us though, were getting maybe 1 or 2 clicks for every 10,000 times we show a google advert (roughly) - but they're still worth it for alot of other sites - http://www.google.com/adsense Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's not got any trials stuff (yet), but it is a bike site (ok, mostly bikes, there will be some open canoe action sneaking in there soon). I doubt it gets much traffic though' as it's only been up for a little while and it's mostly just for us to mess about with, not really to do anything with as such (plus it's a handy portfolio for me :S )... I'd say that the search engine bot's should read the site in full (and index you) as there is no 'no-index' type meta tagging for the bots, nor a robots.txt to control them - the menu structure is straight-forward html list-items - managed by pure CSS, not JavaScript (although to help IE, bless it - there is a teeny tiny bit of JavaScript), so they'll follow that ok. Hmm although that said, it is framed as it uses site forwarding (we are too cheap to pay for a host yet) ...
