The first time I've logged on here in a good while.  Its almost like it happened overnight. Ive tried a few times in the past to get back into the sport, but it gets boring pretty quickly riding around on your own.  Add that with an issue with my Achilles and wrist (both linked to the bikes I was glued to then) it didnt seem worth continuing nor having a seatless ornament hung on the wall.    Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but it is a shame to see the likes of the usual retailers either gone or offer significantly less stock. I'd browse TartyBikes every evening ogling what I couldnt afford! But ultimately a result of supply/demand and material costs.  Trials arguably had to be one of the highlights of my teen years. Met lots of great people.

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried all medical avenues or waiting on anything else? I went private recently and financed the cost, so I recommend that if it's an option at all. 

The former. I'll come out and potter for special occasions (read: twice in the last year, both at Rad ), but my back problems got ridiculous so I'm limited to somewhat tame MTB on a full suspension bike now. The result is that it's quite a bit better in general, but as soon as I push too hard it kicks off again.

I've joined all the ones I can find, and check them regularly. I'll have another look through though!

Does that mean you're not riding, or just isolated from the groups?      They decided they weren't interested in playing ball with the UK government's law. I can't remember what it was called, but it's been in the running since the Conservatives, and Labour pushed it through. Online Safety Bill, or something. So any forum hosting pictures, all gone.  I read a post on reddit not long ago along the lines of, "what gets put on the internet stays on the internet, and look how wrong we were". Google clearing old cache, Internet Archive struggling to keep some items online, who'd a thought?!      Anyways, thanks for the updates. Nice to see familiar names pop up. I guess the death of the desktop computer helped kill forums too, with phones requiring far too much effort to cross post, link, embed, etc. The ability to post clips instead of videos did help devalue the content, so a partial reason why I lost interest I think as well. I did have a few goes on some modern mods not long back, but those short rear ends just kill it for me, I can't even ride a short rear on the bmx without going all over the place.
