      Street trial Brakes

      I'm going to bump this thread. What are people's opinion on Hope Tech 4 V4, E4, or Trialzone? More specifically modulation I am coming from using Avid BBDBs, Shimano M820 Saints on my street trials bike. While they are awesome for locking and biting, they are hard to modulate, especially for doing something like manuals. I am picking up a Inspired complete with Hope Trial Zone, and I am thinking of switching my Avid BBDB to Hope brakes on my second bike to have easier time doing maintenance with both bikes having Hope brakes.  I would be okay giving up on a bit of bite to have more modulation.

      Last one I saw was when Drop n Roll came down to sunnny Ramsgate, I think the summer of 2017  and I was still in the "wow oh my god how do they do that that's impossible" camp, a year and a half before I decided to give trials a go myself.

      I thought it might be that the expectation is more on the event organizer to publicise, but with tending to use social media only for my interests, I don't really follow that much in the way of what else is happening around near to me. I think it would just be cool to see more ''we're going to be at event-x-y-z this/next weekend/month come down and see us!" type posts just for the trials fans 🙂 Unfortunately I'm at the opposite end of the country to visit a Clan stunt show any time soon.

      Thanks for the feedback Daan. Good to know I'm not missing springs between pads, I did notice they were magnetic and retraction of the pistons would pull the pads back from the disc but it just didn't seem like much. I did fit washers under the caliper lugs to give more clearance for the disc so I am happy this is something others do too. Time to clean the pistons and bleed them I think, hopefully that will fix it.
