  1. So this one's actually my GETCreative entry this time. I've had issues with the audio and video slipping in and out of sync in Chrome, but it might just be my PC. Took so long to upload I just can't be bothered trying to fix it Hope you like
  2. Middleburn made some screw on proto's but they never went to production (not totally sure why, but I'd imagine it being there's just no money in it for them), so you can kiss that dream goodbye
  3. The fact you guys are taking so long is making me really worry that I've just collected a bunch of rag-tag clips and thrown them together :/
  4. I'd say that you should release both brakes before taking off. Use them to get in to position, but once you put the power down having the bike being prevented from morphing slightly around the obstacle is seriously limiting the return pressure. Having no brakes locked when preloading lets the bike move downwards with the pressure, giving more rebound. Certainly, I'm better at them since I went brakeless.
  5. I've not been sponsored long, but I'm willing to help out if I qualify. Fire a PM my way if so

  8. Stupid. Yes, you can use 26" tubes in a 24" tyre, and yes you can use bits of tube to fix punctures. Make sure you sand it a lot though. It doesn't bond as well as a patch, so you need to really rough up the surface. Also - don't try and stick it down on the side with the chalky stuff on. That just doesn't work Edit: When putting a too-big tube in a wheel, I find stuffing it inside itself to work much better than folding. Like this: And put this bit opposite the valve to try and balance the heavy spot out a bit. I've used 26" tubes in my mod quite a lot of times doing this
  9. I just don't like him on the Hex. Fair play if he stopped enjoying a more trialsy-trials geo, but I easily preferred his latter videos before the Hex. I mean... every line in that was good - don't get me wrong - but it just doesn't "feel" right. ...Except for those hooks. They must be as big, or maybe even bigger than Tunni-hooks!

Shut up JD. It's just my opinion. I'm entitled to it whether you like it or not! This is a message board. I can say what I want and you can't do a damned thing, 'cause whilst I can put my opinion, or blindly dispute a god damned FACT, you're not allowed to rebuke it because I'm to blind to see that neither is it an opinion, or that if I'm allowed one then you are too! Ha haaaa. Suck it.
  11. I like the idea of being fully committed to something, but I enjoy riding all sorts of ways (most of them, I'm rubbish at, but they're still fun ) so I think to myself that the one thing I'm committed to is having fun on my bike If you exclusively ride one type of thing, and recently made a thread about being bored of riding, I think you've found your problem.

If? You want to put heavier bolts on a bike, weigh it, then put lighter bolts on the same bike and weigh it, to see IF there's a weight difference? Christ.
  13. Oh my GOD. I nearly cried when he hit that tree.
  14. ...Right. I always thought he looked like him - but this guy must actually be the messiah. Mental riding. Exactly the style I like, and massive.
  15. I get what you're saying - but surely it should be the bits you've got planned that pad it out, and the riding is the main feature?! Haha.
  16. Getting a bit of a collection on the go, now!
  17. If, by "talent", you mean something internal and intangible, absolutely not. If, by "talent", you mean the sum of numerous attributes combining in such a way to result in extremely high-level riding, then yes. People enjoy doing what they're good at. With riding - if someone starts out and is physically fit and strong, and has reasonably good balance, an a head for physics (all gained from previous activities in life), they might pick it up reasonably easily. If they start getting good quickly, they'll ride a lot as they're enjoying the progression. If they live in a place with poor riding, that progression will plateau and possibly even cease altogether. If there's lots to ride around there, it can continue. If their parents don't like them doing dangerous things, they may discourage it, or refuse to take them to comps. If they encourage the activity, it'll blossom even more... See where I'm going? No-one's ever gonna fall out the womb, land on a pair of Onza Nano-Master pedals and be great at riding. Getting incredibly good is simply a combination of elements (characteristics, attributes, environment etc.) that coincidentally work together very effectively for trials riding. No-one was meant to ride. No-one was destined to be a champion. It's all down to the individual. Some of these elements might be impossible to obtain for other people, and so they will never be able to progress as far, but it's the experiences of the individual's life that make him good at riding - not the individual himself. I guess your answer is ultimately subjective to your religious beliefs.
  18. As I understand it - that's more down to the build quality of trials rims. I just leave it... but then it's an acknowledged fact that my wheels won't stay 'round for long anyway It's only a tiny bob, if it's the same as I've experienced. Hardly worth getting stressed over considering we never actually get up to any real speed, anyway!
  19. WHY DO PEOPLE STILL RUN PLATES?! Seriously! Edit: Come to think of it... why did people EVER run plates? Rings are lighter, help with not getting trousers caught in chain, cheaper, don't feel rank when you do land on them, mean you don't need a massive stress raiser in the middle of the downtube, and don't send shocks through the frame.
  20. What went wrong with it? If the hard-drive went wrong, it'll complicate things, but it's pretty easy to take a hard-drive out a laptop and put it in something else. (I'm guessing you'd like to get that footage back, if possible )
  21. I've gotta say... this seems like a bad idea. There's already a huge number of arguments on here. I can't help but think that this would create yet another divide that people are likely to fall out over. (It's far less trivial than the angle of someone's bars, for instance.) Having what are effectively "premium members" seems like a bad idea in a place that's been free since forever. If someone could send off £20, and then think they have the moral high ground 'cause they support the forum more than non-donaters, I can imagine a lot of shit being flung. It'd also put some small amount of pressure on forum regulars to donate if they see everyone else doing so, and they might not be able to. I know I'd feel a bit of a cheapskate if other people donated and were given flags as a reward. I wouldn't be able to donate at the minute as I'm struggling financially, so it'd make me feel as if I couldn't go against what a donater was saying since they've put more support in the forum than I. In having two classes of members, you instantly create a hierarchy. Senior Members scheme works as it's input based, not donation based. I'd recommend TF Merch, instead. ...Or anything else, really. If people want to just make a donation, they should have to do so anonymously. I don't think advertising that they supported it is a good idea.
  22. I'm pretty sure that's a Hydroxx 2. The Hydroxx 1s had that awesome two-tone grey paint job, and a longer "tail". [Edit: This paint job: LOVE IT.] According to here, it's: Wheelbase: 995mm Chainstay Length: 362mm BB Rise: +50mm I reckon it's a bit dubious. Could've sworn it was +55 and a bit longer than that. Edit2: says the long version was: WB: 1020 BB: +45 CS: 362 HA: 71.5* Reach: 620 Seems I was wrong about the paint job on which versions
