Build thread for one of the versions: https://www.observedtrials.net/threads/risc-brake-evo-3.42987/ I think he made a few on different frames.

I'm normally dead set against footplants, but that manny-one-footer-fastie was legitimate.

For ultimate convenience, if you're willing to forgo full camper facilities, a bench/slide out double bed in the back of a Kangoo works pretty well for us. Motorway services have showers, and public loos. Not as convenient, but drives like a car and gets 68mpg. Insulation poking out in pictures because I'm still trying to get hold of an internal side door handle before finishing the cladding. Cubby shelf above the cabin for space saving storage, too

Well that one surely delivered the goods. I particularly enjoyed the 1:20 front wheel rear-tap pivot thing, and the wheelie hook. I've done a bunch of manual-hooks over the years and they're rough enough. Add in pedal timing? No thanks, I'll leave that one to you!

Can we all just take a moment to admire/experience-utter-demoralisation-over the hook at 1:06 please?

...And this is why I don't like talking about it

I'm 6.5 years deep. I don't really like talking about it so I'm not going to get in to a public discussion, but just wanted to mention that people could drop me a PM if they want suggestions or whatever. Note - Common misconception: being vegan means being healthy. I'm far from healthy. Lots of crap is available, a lot of it being "accidentally vegan", with prime examples being Oreos, many Chicken noodles and f**king BBQ Pork Pringles. It also doesn't mean you have to buy expensive food.

Thanks very much :3 Though I dare say you're overstating things somewhat. I had one of the original Zoots for a couple of years early on. I liked the idea of being an inbetweeny-do-everything, but never really understood how much it was holding me back until I got back on a 20" Levelboss. It seemed fine at the time, but yeah... They were not so nice. I also flirted with a 609 just before going back to a mod and it was even worse. In more modern terms: 24" aimed at pogo-sticking - not really a fan. They just feel like they can't make their mind up as to what they are. 24" street bikes - GTFO. Never ridden one that was anything better than Slightly Horrible. Reeeeeally dislike how they feel.

So this has been my little pet-project for the past few days... The Short Version: I'm six months late for this but I've been riding for 15 years now. Here's 7 minutes of me at full-tilt from during that time. The Long Version: During the summer I passed my 15 year riding anniversary but I was too busy riding to sit down and make this. I wanted to make a video of all my biggest and bestest clips so I can look back and feel that it's all been worth it. It wasn't intentional, but the earliest clips used were filmed in 2011, so it's weirdly my highlights of the last 10 years, even though I made it because I've been riding for 15. The process was horrendous. I have around 1.5TB of raw clips, made into 123 videos (some are of other people, and yes I'm utterly devastated that this didn't turn out to be the fateful 128th video). Those 123 videos total 9.5 hours. I cherry-picked the clips I liked the most and came out with 56 minutes. I was toying with just uploading that chronologically but then thought "no-one wants to see that", so set about whittling down further to make a single, regular video. I've been wanting to use this song for about 8 years but always felt my riding ability couldn't support the intensity of the music. If my flat-out best still isn't good enough then I never will be, so I decided to just risk looking obnoxious. The result is this 7 minute video, containing clips from 54 different videos. I'm not going to name names in case I accidentally miss someone, but a handful of you (and you'll know who you are) have put a frankly ridiculous amount of time and effort in to helping me along the way - even if that usually was just a case of waiting hours for me to land the damned line. Thank you for that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI0BgJcQnEI

Most of that was faaaairly cool, but it was the tap-can and tap-underhook that had me grinning like a fool!

Pretty sure I remember being amused seeing someone running a Trialtech Threaded Top Cap in there, which would make it an 18x1mm thread.

What a cheeky fox rolling gap in the middle somewhere was gnarly!

What do you get if you take: 1x Tom Mitchell, 1x Workshop, 114x Pallets, and a Herculean amount of effort? Then take those foundations and cap them with a three-day session with him amongst the fruits of his toil. This. This is what you get. There's more clips of me because that crash he so readily walked off made quite a mess of his ankle. Troopers will persist, however.

ASMR that wakes you up early? That sounds terrible.

Bottom Bracket Sizes - Check Here Before Asking BB Length

No kidding Remember when this was actually a thing? Just get a 128. They're standard now. Edit: for ISIS, that is. The world's kind of moving on to other types now. -
I know. It sucks. I just found out my 27th became questionable, and that really frustrated me because I was looking forward to it. Moving it to the 26th settles it though. I definitely can't make that.

Some clips from a ride today with Jamie where neither of us could properly get in to gear. Decided to try and film one line at each spot for motivation. Didn't work amazingly, but fun was had

I'll be there, but just to make people aware: The past 5 years or so have not been kind to Leeds. All of Playhouse, most of Roundabouts and the Flats are all gone. A bunch of other smaller stuff has disappeared, too. There's still fun to be had, but no longer is Leeds the hotspot it was 10 years ago.
-
awesome. Thanks. I'll get back to you as/when/if I go through with it. Not even got access to a welder at present, might be a while off
-
@Adam@TartyBikes - whilst we're on the topic, what do you do for BB and headtubes? I've been toying with the idea of building a commuter and I hag to get my previous ones from America.

Don't do it. Just get the Z1eHX. Chains are not a component with which you want to be dabbling in inferior products. I personally had a lot more issues with the more curvy chains like those. 610 is no longer made. It was replaced by the Z1e. It is possible to but a Z1e or a Z1eHX. Be certain to get the Z1eHX type. It means it's been heat treated and makes it MUCH stronger, and stretches far less.

Our house didn't have an earth. Didn't know that was ever a thing until moving here. Had to sort that out fairly sharpish

Cannibal v1, yeah. Thanks

I got homesick and want to go back to the Alias. I did, however, go out for one last outing on the stock with Adam (who deserves thanks for his apparently endless patience). Filmed some clips. Mostly dropgaps!
