  1. Ratio is given by the teeth on the front cog divided by the teeth on the rear one, so for yours it is 20/18, which is about 1.1 The higher the ratio, the harder it is to pedal and the further you go with one rev. of the cranks. Most mods run with 18:12, which is 1.5, quite a lot harder than your current gear. You can get 20t screw on cogs which will fit screwed cranks like the echos, thats the best option unless you're moving the freewheel to the front. (By the way,12t cogs will fit on the same threads as freewheels, but a 12:18 ratio wouldnt be much use at all)
  2. Thats not giving the comp side a bad name, thats just being practical. He can do a far better job of marketing trials to the layman if he's in a city centre rather than a muddy field in the middle of nowhere. Danny may well be at a high level in whatever he chooses to do, simply because it cant be quantified in points doesnt discredit him. Theyve both done their jobs, provoked thought, that's what keeps trials evolving.

    Booze Tax

It all adds up though, there are lots of places where money is needed, paying coppers to clear up the alcohol problems for starters. Theyve been slowly hiking the tax on beer anyway, just no one has noticed cos its been small changes, one big change wouldve started a riot like this may
  4. Bollocks do you, 6 foot 1, 30 waist, 35 leg ten stone apparently, bmi must be negative or something.... Cheapo jeans off the market work well, often theyre seconds and they cut them slightly wrongly. Few cuts in with a stanley, call them designer, flog them off for loads

  7. Those are the dimensions, lay the mount out to have a fair wack of material around the holes and it'll be fine.

  10. If you're taking your wheel in and out a lot, sometimes that can shift the hanger slightly each time you tighten it up, Ive seen a couple bend over time through that.
  11. 8 x 0.75. A long chainring bolt will work (I think thats pretty much all the original is anyway)
  12. The normal one is, the T trials version is 48. Keep up
  13. That'll be nice when its done . Are those the ones with flat twin engines, or am I imagining things?
  14. It'll shift, just slowly and not very happily if you try it under power. You may also have to shift past it then back. But it will work.
