  1. useful answer, in discussion form. good effort. 2/10
  2. not sure if it warrants its own thread, but anyway... the whole brakeless thing is 'cool' these days. But why not ride with brakes and not cover the levers when you wanna ride brakeless and cover them when you wanna do more traditional style trials? I have vee brakes on my marino but if i ever wanna do rolly brakeless stuff etc (admittedly not well at all) i just dont cover the brake levers with my fingers? then when i see a gap or whatever i can just cover my brakes and do it, rather than thinking 'ahhhhh crap, i havent got brakes so i cant do that anymore' surely thats the best of both world and not limiting yourself to one or the other? I dont really wanna read stuff like, it looks better or its lighter cause they are crap excuses to me haha. Only thing i can possibly think of is with the quick whip arounds, 180s and 360s brake cables may get in the way or the force on the wheels may make them rub a pad?...
  3. loooooved it boys. exactly the style of riding i try and do. whats the spec on joel's bike?
  4. is it me or is the answer just 1%? .....it's just me!
  5. if you say so JD!? only joking! here she is........
  6. would love to ride that. you dont happen to have the original stem that came with it do you? id buy it off you. if not, what stem is it? edit - hmmmm pegs!!!! can they be fitted on any wheel type? ive got hope pro 2 rear and hope mono front, both with no disc mounts (well hope 2 has had one grinded off) i like the idea of grinding!
  7. 11ft! insane! dont think i could throw my bike that far haha 12.5ft? or did you mean the 10.5ft at the start?
  8. pretty hot.......and f**kin thick! cant even sit on a chair properly.
  9. holy bottom bracket rise batman!
  10. not a bad shout. this one seems to be a bigger gap but with less of a drop
  11. basically saw a video with some monster gaps in and i was thinking 'hmmmm, would love to see THE BIGGEST gap ever.' So if you know of any records for trials moves then post them up.....MORE IMPORTANTLY I WOULD LIKE TO SEE VIDEO OR PHOTO EVIDENCE! i know sidehops are in comps all the time etc and people measure them alot but i am most keen on level gaps. I remember damon watson trying or doing a 10.5ft gap. fire away. the biggest anything in trials really... apart from biggest twat!....thats currently getting totally owned by JACK HARMER.
  12. your topic title hurts my brain. Nice steed though, should have no problem selling it.
  13. yummy yummy yummy your bike looks lovely and i feel like bumming you. *to the tune on that old cereal add* anywaaaaaaaay.... nice bicycle fellow! pip pip. serious note, i would love that bar stem combo (hope stem?) but it makes gapping (with brakes) so much harder. need to find a decent compromise.
  14. liked it mate! how do you do the slow panning in every shot? i take it, it's software?
  15. 1000 posts! (well 1001, but the pic on the 1000th post is way better than what im about to say!.... id like to take this opportunity to thank........myself, for starting a thread that has introduced so much gash onto a male filled forum. may the clunge continue

  17. kelly slater is a man! haha. 10x world champion, considered one of the best athletes of all time. he is to surfing what lance armstrong, federer, tiger, messi etc are to their sports. nah didnt expect them to recognise her really, i was just gutted they got to meet her a week after i left and they didnt have a clue. just one of those 'just my luck' moments
  18. i was in australia for 5 months....whilst i was there i worked at a surf school and basically made it clear to alot of people i met throughout my trip that alana blanchard was AMAZING! Anyway, i went on a roadtrip up the coast with two guys from holland and a german girl and we crashed at some american college girls apartment for a few days in surfers paradise. Shortly after this i headed to melbourne for a few days then home. A week or so later the people i road tripped with and the americans all went to a surf comp down the road. They posted pictures up, a few were with ALANA BLANCHARD!!!!! i just posted on the photo something like 'OH MY f**kIN GOD THATS HER!!! THATS ALANA! YOU BASTAAAAARDS!!" they didnt even know who she was the plebs! also a girl i was seein in oz worked at a cafe, for the richest man in queensland.....she only f**kin served KELLY SLAAAAATER!!!!! she was like 'i served some famous surfer i think' and she couldnt remember who, so i was like meh anyway, then we were walking past a quiksilver shop with a massive poster of kellys face....'o thats him, ye kelly' f**k OFF U SLAG!

    Chill - Marino 24

thanks guys, nice to see people appreciating it. it was fun to make, alot of retakes, starting and stopping shots, deleting shots. luckily, when its all in imovie it was a piece of piss to edit. I'm very suprised how easy and user friendly the whole imvoie experience was. I was also abit worried about the one location aspect but i tried to give it the whole chilled after work practice session we all sometimes do in one spot. Would of been nice to also had it all shot as the sun was setting like the start, but the light got the better of me so had to return the next day. im planning on making another video and my bro, who has a film degree, is all of a sudden interested in making it with me now he has seen what i just made. Which should be cool. next video will be mixed locations, but still fun, bigger moves mixed in, keep it interesting and a helmet......probably thanks, again guys. I ride for fun and made this video for myself (and hopefully one day my kids to see) and knowing people with the same hobby and interests as me liking something i have done, makes it all that much better. link to my bike revamp project is in the original post and a quick spec too. cheers, ye the benches are like a moulded plastic. Slidy!! But pretty heavy still. they are smaller than most benches as its at a lil kids school (or a midget school, not sure which) if you watch the video for the gap down to the wood bench you see it slide backward as i launched....happened alot, (same as the first 180) which worried me a bit.
  21. evenin all. my first trials video, filmed and edited by me all at one local spot. any comments welcome, and constructive criticism appreciated. And please, there is no need to tell me i need to wear a helmet hope you enjoy, cheers adam EDIT : trials bike revamp project - ive added my facebook link to the revamp of my marino i did a few months back spec is - marino frame (have to ask rainbird on geo as it was his frame) raw metal (laquered) with custom design (and now a dent on the downtube right where the paint job is! :( ) pashley, 24 converted forks front and rear black hope pro 2 hubs sun rhyno lite rims black spokes front radial lace. DMR supermoto skin wall tyres avid ultimate breaks with avid sd5 levers. front onza pads, rear avid pads try all isis cranks (no clue on bb) cheap wellgo pedals cane creek c2 headset gusset tank chain esclat seat azonic 2" rise bars some stem i cant remember foam grips, but have rubber ones to use when i finally stick to a bar stem combo (i like what i have now but the stem is creaking like shit!!!) thats it really, simple, but works lovely for me.
  22. i voted for roland! hes currently number 1! love it sorry for not voting for your cousin mate, if it makes it any better i would most definitely smash her back doors in......and any other door she has ever walked through, looked at or seen from a distance.
