    The Gym

g'mornin! does not eating enough mean you dont lose weight? reason being is i have a physical job and i added up my average day calorie intake a while ago and it was about 2300. and i saw that i was over the RDA for carbs which isnt ideal i guess, but everything else (protein, fibre i was higher =good) (salt, fats etc were lower = bad) I keep active too, i did tough guy on sunday, full 11-a-side yesterday, and as i said my job is very physical. I have a bit of muscle but my main annoyance is my love handles. they just will not disappear. So as i asked earlier, do you think i should be taking in more calories of any kind? or up them with less carby food? I do feel that if i eat more ill just put fat on. Im a bit confused really. One worthy note is that i dont like fruit and much salad. so my basic diet i guess is.... Breakfast - i have this every single morning 3 weetabix, milk, bit of sugar. bagel with whole peanut butter green tea Lunch 1-1.5 sandwiches (so 3 slices of bread with a meat and quite often some sort of rocket salad) mixed nut and fruit bar sometimes a bag of crisps get in hungry so will snack on few peanuts, bagel, bits of ham or chicken dinner varies but my mum rarely cooks absolute shite and i have a good portion sometimes dessert but most often not and thats your lot, doesnt seem like much to me looking at it now, especially lunch. so any tips, advice etc would be appreciated.

  5. ddg orbita cranks. sorry, no help with frame or wheels.
  6. tesco 12month contract sim only. £10 500mins, 5000 texts, 500mb internet. uses 02 network. been sweet for me although ive got through 2 phones now so prob not saving much over a contrat, if anything. But it is easily done if you can afford a sim outright. im aware its going away from your original topic, apologies. If its any help my mate has the one x and its stupidly quick and lovely to use
  7. dropped my phone today, smashed the screen and it no longer works. My mate said he did that, took out phone insurance when he got home then a week later, said he broke it and the insurance gave him a new one. is it really that easy?! i bought my phone second hand for cash off a friend so have no proof of purchase, but obviously i can send my phone in as proof. If its as easy as he makes it sound......surely everyone would do it and/or buy faulty ones off ebay
  8. uncharted the ps3 games. bit indiana jones but would be a sick film!

  15. ive got a dual disc echo lite at the mo and just got rid of my marino 24. basically what made me think of the idea was because my shimano m575 brakes on the trek are HURRENDOUS! and i have a lovely set of hope monos on my echo, and thought i cant really justify buying a new set of brakes, should i just put the hopes on it and sell the echo as parts and just go old skool lenosky style trials. But i rode the echo the other day and loved it, so its staying!!
  16. JD = hits the nail on the head.
  17. I dont see how anyone can moan at Chelsea for playing the way they did, it was the only way they could have progressed, especially going down to 10 men after Terry was a massive bellend. Unfortunately defensive football is boring most the time, but Chelsea and most teams have no option against barca.........and it worked. Well done Chelsea. Got the job done, against the odds
  18. sounds interesting so far, definitely going to check out the careers office tomorrow. Ill see what they say and ask all the questions there before I come back and ask here. cheers dudes
  19. Ive always wanted a physical hands on, use your brain kinda job, none of this office crap. I would love to be an expedition/adventure leader ad have found a course to do it, but i feel im a bit young (25) and under experienced/qualified compared to the others doing the course with military/medical/more experiences on their side. So the only other thing i can think of at the moment is some sort of military job, get experience, earn money and have a somewhat interesting and physical job. I would like to be something more specialist within one of the armed forces, mainly so when i leave military i can use the skills gained elsewhere if the adventure/expedition route fails. (as an example i thought of an army diver- then if i left, id train as a deep sea diver for offshore rigs. My bro does health and safety on places like that, hense why i thought up such a random idea) but I am totally oblivious as to how any of it works or how anything is done (like hours? holiday? etc, its obviously not a standard job.) I am planning on popping into the armed forces office tomorrow possibly to have a chat. Would just like to know anyone elses knowledge/opinions/experiences with the armed forces.
  20. Ive got a trek 6500 2011 (17.5" - bit big i know) and contemplating going old school jeff lenosky style trials biking and converting it to be able to do trialysish stuff on it whilst still being able to bash it around cannock chase, thoughts anyone? Might make a seperate topic on it. Thinking of upgrading to dual hope brakes and prob a hope rear hub and then just single front ring with bash and a smaller rear casette, just have to man up on the ascents a bit more. Anyway, was doing some research and stumbled upon this, not one of his most trialsy vids but the move at 3 minutes is worth watching. I wont give anything away.
  21. bought a trek 6500 second hand, like new, for a bargain and took it straigh to cannock last saturday! Some of the most fun i have ever had! Did the dog, or the monkey or both? Kinda wish i had full sus.....purely as i cant stand the sound of the chain banging around (as trials riders i hope you know what i mean! anyway, such a fantastic place!
  22. makes me wanna quit trials, not because they are good, but because they make trials seem completely lacking in any sort of fun whatsoever.
  23. hottest bmx ive ever seen! and that full susser makes me wet on the tip... .....im all for honesty!
