  1. Only when the ball and chain is having one of her episodes and vases start mimicking olympic javelins.....
  2. Where do you suggest I have it welded (as in workshop, not on frame)? Would a regular welding shop do (there is a place just down the road from here that does motorbike chassis welding) or should I take it to a proper cycle shop. Only problem with a proper cycle shop type place is there arent really any around here that deal in trials gear and none that do welding of any kind
  3. It would seem that the crack is by a weld near the headtube, where the bottom tube meets the top tube. Its not all the way around but goes just the width of the weld. The chainstay crack is about 5mm long, starting at a pre-drilled hole and working along. According to the seller its been fine with his riding for the last 6 months, neither crack has got any bigger. I think I might go for it and then when it breaks Ill just buy another second hand frame. Its the best deal Ive been offered so far by a long way. Thanks for all the info folks, its really useful and your all very helpful
  4. Thanks for the info folks. Ive been offered the whole bike for £160, the rest of the spec is pretty good. Im on a really tight budget and Im not too bothered about learning huge gaps and drops, just really having a mess around and getting some exercise. They have put in a new sea wall where I live with loads of rocks so the whole area looks like some good riding terrain. P.S. Has anyone got any opinions on Monty 219 ALP's? Ive been offered one for £70. Standard spec but its fairly old, standard V's etc. I can only find info on the new ones on the internet and they are mainly manufacturer stuff, nothing really from any riders.
  5. Someone has offered me a frame which has two small cracks in it. The rest of the componentry on the bike is quite good. The frame has cracked just behind the headtube and again on the chainstay. The seller says that he's been riding it for 6 months and its still holding, its a Koxx Levelboss Would it be strong enough to last learning the basics on? Im not going to be doing any mental drops or massive gaps on it. My idea being to ride the frame until it breaks and then replace just the frame and transfer the other parts across. Anyone got any opinions or advice on this? Ta
  6. if you run a google search on Oolite you can download a version of the game that will work on new PC's using OpenGL. Its pretty much the same as the original only now you can download extras from the website and implement them into the game. Its had me hooked for months!
  7. Im suprised no one has mentioned Elite or Elite 2 yet so I will...top games that are so simple yet so entertaining, kept me going for hours
  8. Hmm, Half-life is a must for any gamer. Its an oldie but damn its so good!! In my flat at the moment we have Burnout Revenge keeping us entertained on the multiplayer front, get a load of beers in and 4 people on that and its loads of fun. Timesplitters series is also worth a look, single player and multi player are both pretty entertaining. Some of the challenges are hilarious, especially the duck hunting ones where you have to kill 100 ducks in a stupidly short amount of time.
  9. if you like d'n'b I can recommend: Calibre - The Best Of just got it and its amazing

    Imac

if you get a newer one its worth looking on the Apple refurbished site, they have some pretty good deals on there, especially if you choose something like the macmini as you can run your existing PC monitor on it and they hardly take up any space.

  16. used to work full winter seasons, managed 5 until my ACL broke in 2004. Snowboarding all the way thing I enjoyed the most was getting fresh lines in deep powder, hitting the perfect steep fast lines and then looking back to see what youve just come down. edit - and massive backcountry kickers!

    Virus

shot in the dark here but if its adding files that you cant delete then it might be spyware. Before you go and format hard drives run a copy of Adaware through it, that will ferret the b*****d out and remove it. If not, then your f**ked.
  18. what happened to it?? apart from the obvious "it was covered in paint" routine.

  20. if these have been posted before then sorry...I really cant be arsed to read through 12 pages to find out...yes, Im a lazy b*****d. A man walks into a church and heads straight for the confession box. The priest asks "What is your crime my son" and the man replies "I had improper thoughts about my neighbours wife". The priest replies "Say 10 hail marys and all will be forgiven". Another man walks into the confession box and the priest says "What is your crime my son". The man says "I saw my neighbours wife sunbathing topless in the garden", the priest responds with "Say 20 hail mary's and all will be forgiven". A third man enters the confession box, the priest says "What is your crime my son", the man responds with "I had a blowjob from my neighbours wife". The priest is shocked, he says "Excuse me, this is serious, I feel I need to consult with someone". The guy panics, runs outside and grabs a choirboy and asks "What does the priest give for a blowjob" the boy responds with "2 packets of crisps and a mars bar" There's a rabbit and a bear walking through the woods when they come across a magic lamp. The bear picks it up and rubs it and out comes a genie. The genie grants them each 3 wishes. The bear says "For my first wish I wish that all the bears in this wood were female and I was the only male". The genie claps his hands and all the bears change. The rabbit asks for a motorbike, and behold, a motorbike appears. The bear says "For my 2nd wish I wish that all the bears in this country were female and I was the only male." The genie claps his hands and all the bears change. The rabbit asks for a helmet and set of bike leathers. The bear says "For my final wish I wish that all the bears in the world were female and I was the only male". The genie claps his hands and all the bears change. The rabbit turns to the genie and says "I wish that bear was gay" Two flies on a womans pussy, how do you know which one's on drugs? The one on the crack An englishman, irishman, scotsman, chinese man, rabbi and priest all walk into a pub. The barman looks up and says, "What is this, a f**king joke" there's more but I cant be arsed to remember them

  22. The song is Walkie Talkie Man (I think) but I cant remember the name of the band but I think they're Australian. Hope this helps
  23. so you want to replace the front seats? or have them re-covered? If its replacement then surely a breakers yard will have loads kicking around that you can buy. If you want them re-covering then have a look in Yellow Pages for car interiors/finishing/whatever. or have I completely misunderstood the question (highly likely)??
  24. Cant think of one reason why I should have it...can think of loads as to why I shouldnt have it though.
