I'm right handed (rear brake lever also on right), and right footed (right foot forward).

My best friend was a skater and formed a skate club two years ago. He managed to get the school to fund the ramps. A bmx club was formed a month ago and the skate club didn't allow the riders to use the ramp (weird cos tyres don't damage the ramps compared to grinds). But we're having a term break now so I "secretly" used the ramp.

kenda k-rad 24x2.3 (this is the only 24'' tyre available at my side, left over from my old street bike). So far so good, I haven't had a serious slip yet. Well, I'm still very street and park orientated.

Well, there's always someone out there who's worst than you. Youtube Video ->Original Video This might sound bad, but everytime I think I suck, I would think of this rider which everyone doesn't like and say to myself: "Well, at least I can do those moves which he can't do." Just ride for the fun of it. At the end of the day, just make sure you had fun and enjoyed yourself.

Well, maybe 24 is the in-thing now? It's very versatile. But honestly, I still think 26 is better. Maybe my body is thin so 24 is just nice for me. I used to ride the Author a-gang, a 26'' street-trials frame (designed by Czech rider Jaromir Spesny). It's very easy to pull up cos the top tube length is so short.

Hello from Singapore! I hope these pics are worth a post here cos I'm still getting the basic trials moves right. The first 4 pics are taken in my school (yep, we have a simple quarter pipe there ).

I don't use anything for my hair, but gatsby is quite popular at my side. Best thing is their ads are always funny. Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

Yeah, I was doing a search and this came up. I was looking to see how many mm stackers 24'' riders use. It's been a month since I got my 24uk and I'm still experimenting on the stack. I also use maggy on a smooth rim! It used to honk a lot but this week it became silent. Can anyone tell me why? It still bites on just as good though (never slipped yet). It's like the 'sound' gives you the assurance that your brakes are working goo. The major difference between the 24uk and inspired is that the 24uk has all the 3 types of brake mounts. inspired has a bb rise of 35mm, but that varies according to your fork length right? I wish I could try out an inspired! Too bad I'm the only one riding 24'' in my country. lol.

How many mm stackers are you using? 30mm? By the way gunsmoke rocks.

Dr Pepper is very rare in my country!

My mtb street friend used only 3 rotor bolts for his rear brake. He also cut his thomson seatpost to 1 inch. There was a time where they got so weight weenie that they cut their bars to shoulder-width.

Yes the heatsink reds will fit in a magura. I'm using the heatsink cnc backing with magura now. I guess all heatsink pads are sold at the same price. (I just compared with trials-uk, not sure which other shops sell them.) I bought the coust cnc pads, which are about 90 singapore dollars. It was really very expensive, but I wouldn't want to compromise on the braking (that's very important in trials right?) I can say it's worth the money, given that people at my side spend over a hundred bucks for pedals. As for that magura 'pin', I was equally as worried when I used the cnc backings. Did a search and most said such breaking/snapping problems were caused by the older rimjam rather that heatsink ones. However, someone broke/snapped his magura pin lately with heatsink cnc backings. Then there were cases where people also break/snap the pins off even with normal plastic backings. So the verdict was the pin broke/snap off because of fatigue - the braking force of a hs33 is so powerful!

Mine's bled with magura royal blood, and changed to steel braided hose cos the stock one snapped (at the cross-over). Those stock hose have a tendency to snap/break cos they're so thin! Pistons don't come out a lot as compared to hs33. I never had any leaking issues. But the lever area showed signs of corrosion, it's very hot and humid at my side. And I couldn't fit my heatsink cnc backing into the echo slave! I spent so much on the pads only to find it couldn't fit, so I got fed up and swapped it for my friend's hs33.

You mean 46mm? Cos viz only has 46mm width for 24inch rims right? Anyways how do you find the rim? Is the width ok? Or rather don't you find it a little too wide for street-trials? Cos most people use rhynolite which are like 29mm? Nice bike though, I like the all-black.

The hope tarty trial is the same as hope mono trial right? Just that the major difference is the swapped colours? So tempted to get it.

Just get your front wheel up on a ledge about 2-feet high and balance and try to hop. Worked for me.

"la"? Haha, it's one word everybody use to end their sentences at my side. Anyway I hope you're enjoying yourself Joe! My classmate has been to Dubai and he says it's very nice over there.

That chain guard helmet looks thick! Especially at the chin guard area. Another similar one is the Met parachute.

Is that Yao Zhi? (sorry if I gotten his name wrong)

Well, you would never experience it until you do it. I have such fears too. So I tell myself, "ok, if you fall, means you fall." Then if I really fell/bailed, I would know what to expect the next time I try that similar move, and avoid the mistake. And I would be like, "wow, that fall wasn't so bad after all." and continue nailing that move. It's always the first time which holds you back, second and third time would be easier. For me I'm afraid of falling down, because of some childhood trauma. So that fear holds me back. What about you guys? What contributes to your fear? Injury? Heights? Breaking some parts?

I dropped by my local hardware shop and checked out the helicoil kit. I asked the guy if it could ever strip again (the helicoil I mean). He said it would just come out together with the bolt or something like that. But he mentioned that the aluminium thread which holds the helicoil might strip. Note that it's just a normal hardware shop, they don not know nything about bikes. So is it really true? What are the chances of the alu thread (which holds the helicoil) stripping?

(I was doing a search and this came up) My echo clamps can't fit over my cylinders properly. I have to force them in and then the plastic cylinder washers would get chewed. So much for the CNC? I tried with my friend's magura ones and they fitted over good. Maybe I'm just unlucky.

You like fries with that?

Ok, So I Get Bored Easily! Colourful Inspired Fourplay
spaceman replied to monkeyseemonkeydo's topic in Bike Pictures
Gloss chocolate brown with bling gold parts (hubs) would be good. Especially with those white decals! -
Hmm, I'm neutral with this topic, but I sure spotted something funny. Or rather contradicting. A trials park would get boring after 2 weeks cos your like doing the same moves over and over. (according to JT) Then what about the streets? They don't change and why people aren't bored of it? (just something to ponder about...)
