I've got some questions: 1. How can you tell the 06 from the 07 model? 2. I've used the pro2 trials hub for 3 weeks (ordered from CRC), it's very new. It skipped 3 times already. Is it normal for it to skip?

Maybe it's just the looks of it? I dunno, but I'm using echo clamps and cranks. Slowly changing them, lol.

As someone had mentioned before, deng products don't belong to a 24''. Heheh, I think the forks are ok though. Why don't Inspired have disc mounts? Well, at least they have a clean look.

I'm sure looking forward to those vids!

Ahaha, interesting way to start a thread. Nice!

Steve did mentioned that the Heatsink pads are hand cut with his secret customised jig (I'm too lazy to do a search to find that post). Well, it would really take some time to cut it out good.

First one for me! (looks wise is good) I'm referring to the pic which has the inspired embroidery at the corner.

I was getting used to my new ride (24''), and I hopped up 16 inches. Rear wheel slipped a little and ended up as a hook. It was by chance, and I still have no balls to try hooks and taps yet.

You aren't serious about that right? It's really funny though. What movie is that? Val Kilmer, and Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro? Looks like a real good movie.

I run a black market 3'' bar, and black market stem (the older model 50mm x 12 degree rise, new models have no rise) Heard from my friends that the bar is very flexy, but I can't seem to feel it yet. Looking forward for the 2'' deity too. I use a really short 50mm stem cos I'm into more streety moves, will try like 70mm someday.

China is pretty good. Been there 2 months (for school attachment) and hung around with this trials guy and a few local skaters. Just don't enter pubs and engage in hookers - they will con you and squeeze every cent out of you. For beers just get them from the supermarket. A medium-sized bottle costs about GBP 0.30! I would go to the UK for me.

Wow, can't wait for the new design! Too bad I don't know a single thing on photoshop.

If parallel universe do exist, I would go to the other world (if possible) and take my other bike over. It would be an inspired over there. Heheh. But if I go over there and take the inspired, I'm afraid my other self could also come into this world to take my 24uk. Bad bad.

Youtube Video -> Original Video Ryan Leech! Look at 0:33, that's the motion for bunnyhop, and take note of his arm action too. Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

Ok, thanks! I'll try the hook up when I gather some balls.

I guess you're referring to the guy who snapped his maggy recently, and he was using heatsink reds with cnc backings? However, in that thread, others snap their maggy even with normal backings. Actually, the stiff alu backing is so stiff, there's no flex compared to the normal backings, and so the maggy snaps. However, as mentioned, others snap their maggy even with normal backings.

Well, Martyn Ashton mentioned in MBUK that bunnyhop is pure arm power. Your legs/feet are just to lift up and level the rear wheel. About pushing your arms to level out, I push and extend my arms not only to level out, but also bring my knees towards my chest. This "sucking" motion is what people call a "tuck", helps you to bring the bike up, which means more height.

That would be the same for me. I find that I have more grip over the bars when not pressing the front brake (master hand on rear brake) This thread really clarifies my doubts cos I wanted to ask this question too. However, I got another question. During hook ups, must the front brake be locked? What I mean is that when you jump up to the obstacle, the front brake is already locked? Cos I noticed that if the front brake isn't locked, the front wheel can't hook properly and it'll slip. I have yet to try hook ups.

Definitely not out of date. I know of someone at pinkbike who rides a frame made by dobermann (true temper steel), customised to the exact zebdi geometry (maybe chainstay might be shorter).

I second that. If it had snapped clean off in one blow, it would be a brittle fracture, which means the fracture area would be shiny. Most probably due to creep stress, it bent, then fatigue sets in, and it finally breaks. What a shame though. My friends at my side have warned me about it cos I guess I'm the only one using cnc backing, but so far so good on the cousts. *Phew, wipes forehead*

It's always very interesting to see trials riders ride park. The riding style is totally different. It's like suddenly someone comes down and does something which is soooo different from what everybody else is doing. It's been 2 weeks since my 24'' is built, and this weekend I have decided to go to the park! Since I was riding mtb street last time, I guess the feeling should be pretty much the same (for 180s that is), and now with the addition of a few pedal kicks here and there! I would expect many stares cos at my side no trials riders ride park, and that I have yet to get my seat yet.
-
Hur, this is interesting. Anyway, do you think you would still be riding trials in the parallel world? If parallel worlds really exist, why must they exist? Are the actions and live you lead in the parallel world same as this current world?
-
Looks nice to me, the red bits aren't too much of an overkill which is good. Where can I get that mini seat from? (I used to have one from monty but I sold it away) Edit: Ah, nevermind, saw it at tarty, lol. But the monty ones look nicer cos they have the cushion thingy.

I didn't have a real booster then, that's why. It did work, however (for a month cos it was really thin). I cut it in the centre to make way for the clamps.
-
Shit 1mm alu self-made booster, cos I killed all the 4 bolt mounts, drilled and re-threaded them to M6, that's why the self-made booster.
