Seriously Josh, just get an FSA Equipe, they're sexy lookin, light, insanely strong and smooth and cost like £25. I've had several now (through buying and selling bikes not through them failing), none of them have ever missed a beat.

Yes, for natural/comp riding I always like my mods to be below 9kg, stocks below 10kg, although it changes with riders opinion. In reality though if you're new and you're doing "tricks", then it doesn't matter, when I was learning I had a T-Pro for 6 weeks until it snapped, then I wacked a Zona Zip frame in, it was a mod that weighed over 12kg and had a wheelbase of 1070mm. (1045mm standard, t-pro forks with huge rake and a knackered chain adds up to 1070mm). It was a barge and I still learned well enough on it.

No, Tarty Adam is the prodigal son, Danny is the anti-christ.

As far as I'm aware there are several versions. My mate had two of the original ones which were utter garbage, each one lasted about 2 months. (Started skipping after a few rides, but he ran them until they were dangerous.) The new ones are improved though apparantly, I don't know what they changed though.

Depends on the wattage, but the modular ones usually cost about £15 more than the none-modulars ones. It also can give you better air flow, but if you can route the cables well you can get the same improved air flow with a none-modular.

Who the f**k are you?

Yeh I head about the Hiper 580, I don't think I've ever heard of these Corsairs doing it. I have the none-modular 650w one. A mistake I'll never make again, modular is the only way to go!

I was also pretty gutted, been listening to them for years. I doubt they'll carry on as Avenged Sevenfold, they'd have to get a new drummer, and I don't reckon they'll want to. They'll probably reform as another band I reckon.

It's getting pretty bad out here aswell, (only about 20 miles from Manc), we have no milk, bread or PIES! This town runs on pies, and the wagons can't get in! The chippies can't get anything either, and the pubs are drying up. Dark days...

Yeh I thought that, I'm using a mix of Pro-Cool and water, b*****d thing has frozen in every brake I have last night! (Apparantly it went to -8C though).

Why Do I Find It Scary When I Go Up To A Drop
Muel replied to onza_rip95's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Learn this later, it's easy to get wrong. When you're learning, just hop fowards until your rear axle is level with the edge of the drop, then drop the front wheel down as far as you dare (but not past where the bike is horizontal), and at the same time compress your body down into the bike, as the front wheel gets as low as you dare, release the rear brake and give a teeny rotation of the cranks, then the rear wheel will just plop off the edge of the wall, then extend your legs, pushing the rear wheel down towards the floor until your back is pretty much straight, and your legs are completely straight, arms a little bit bent, then as the rear wheel touches the floor you're in the right position to soak up the impact of the drop. What this does is when your body starts accelerating downwards, and if you extend the rear wheel down below you, it effectively shortens the drop. Say the drop is 6 foot off the ground, if you just backhopped off the edge, it's a 6 foot drop, whereas if you compress your body down 1.5-2 feet first, then as the rear wheel drops off and your body starts to accelerate downwards, extend the rear wheel down another 2 feet, you can lessen the impact of the drop to one of 2 foot high. Some people love them, I hate them yet they're pretty much the only thing I can do really well, the biggest I've done is about 5 foot. -
So he's now been on the news, in VW adverts, I think on some new years eve thing? The Scotch news, probably the british news.... How long until he gets on the Simpsons though? That's the real question.

Just my opinion. Bash rings are better in every way, they can take the knocks for longer, don't bend, snap or strip threads from the frame, they're lighter, look better and not as tempting to use. (I hate riding BIU rules, I tend to use UCI but cheat a bit, nothing is allowed to touch apart from tyres and toes. )

Basically Ed, depending on how much Wierdodude is after for this, this could be a good setup. It boils down to really, (in my opinion), i7 is great, but costs a fortune, whereas these old C2Qs can be had pretty cheap. (The Q6600 is a seriously good chip aswell, very good overclockers). Basically Ed if you want to upgrade the system you have now, I'd buy this lot. (Depending on your PSU and whether your hard drives are IDE or SATA. If you have IDE and the PSU isn't much cop, I'd sell that system and buy another). Thought about sticking with AMD? I have a 965 Black Edition processor in mine, it seems great, apparantly they're a match for the Q6600 and below. I'd say though get on the overclockers.co.uk forum, (think Krisboats got me on there actually), and they're really helpful, but also if you do 250 posts on there, you can get into the members market so you can buy and sell second hand stuff, and you get free postage on all purchases. Yes, they'll reach 4ghz as far as I know. I'm not sure about on air cooling, but I've known of a couple that are used at about 3.6-3.8ghz for every day use with fairly low voltages and no issues. Yes, good ram that.

No, you can't look at it like that. Liek Anzo says, a lot of them do it for none malicious reasons. I think those ones should be let off or praised, so that newcomer hackers will think, "hmmm, naughty hacking and get hammered for it, or good boy hacking and become famous for it." The malicious ones, like the wankers in the case of OTN need punishing far more ferociously if you ask me, and the "noble" hackers need to be bascially ignored. (Obviously the malicious/noble divide isn't absolute, so that'll be a case for the courts).

Ah yeh I remember it now, I've also been in the Three Roofs Cafe a few times. I'm pretty sure that there was a shot of him on Long Hill where I nearly crashed my bike, I was going round a left hand bend that tightens up on the exit and ran onto the wrong side of the road. (Banked it over as far as I could but I was just going too fast for that corner, I'd forgotten that it suddenly tightens).
-
I'll only ever use Corsair PSU's because I'm a bit wierd like that. Just best to check though Matt, are you using a surge protector? Most blown PSU's I've heard about are because of a surge, they're pretty fragile things.

Susan Boyle, she really isn't as good as everyone makes out.
-
A lot of James May's thing on the Insignia VXR was filmed within about 40 miles of here, I saw Long Hill (Meaning at one point he was less than 7 miles from my house), Winnets Pass and the Cat and Fiddle, amongst a few other pretty iconic roads. I think I spotted the Derwent Resevoir aswell, not sure though.

Seems to me Ed that the whole system is the bottle neck, the spec is all balanced if you ask me, to see a big improvement I'd recommened starting afresh.
-
Geo is perfect if you ask me, if anything could be a bit longer with those chainstays, I'd rather have it at about 1050-1055, like the design aswell. As long as it isn't gold and the price is right, it should be alright that.

16 posts in 5 years? No wonder you're not validated! Your first post was in Aug 09. 16 posts in 6 months then actually, and that's still nothing like enough for people to notice you.
