  1. Try-All on the front, Monty on the rear. The creepys don't grip aswell as the montys IMO, and the rear Try-Alls wear out really fast. This combo seems to wear at about the same rate in my experience, so you don't end up with half worn tyres. It's also the lightest.
  2. Sometimes I wish my parents were still together, I miss this sort of thing. About twice a year, just living with my Dad's mint, we get on so much better now I'm older.
  3. It does say somewhere that you can get feedback removed, if they give bad feedback back then it just makes them more likely to get more warns, then get banned.
  4. Pedal spanners are shite though? They bend and flex all over the show. Sounds like you might have over tightened them if you had to use a bar aswell.
  5. Strange, I seem to remember you saying a while back you were pissed off because you couldn't get a job because you were only 16?
  6. The number of times I've heard that one, or equally rubbish ones... How does having a shit make your bike lighter?
  7. Where do the snail cams go? It doesn't look like theres any room so the axle can stick into the dropouts aswell?
  8. Yes, but theres a lot of reasons not to get one. I'm buying a motorbike next week, it would look rank with my spec on it and I would prefer a higher BB, but I've still always wanted one.
  9. A Try-All H hub is 172g! this is 117g including a sprocket? If it came in black, that would be well worth £88 if you ask me. Is there a non disc rear or a disc front version?
  10. I cracked a frame once and I've snapped 2 chains. Thats it though, I'm fairly soft on my bikes.
  11. Bit harsh mate! True though, if you can't handle having a full time job and a family and running Heatsink, you should sell it on. Or considor selling everything through someone like Tarty, then all you have to do is get batches of stuff every 3-6 months posted off to Tarty, and they could sell it on. Not sure if Adam would be up for it, but I can't see why not, they're really popular parts and would sell well enough.
  12. It was only that long because of the chain and forks, They are actually 1040-1045 with Echo Lites. They're really nice riding frames! Just very heavy.
  13. It's just if I'm in August and the frame gets delayed (Which it seems it might well be) then the list will just move on, and I'll end up in September, and I'll probably have to drop out because I'll be busy getting settled in at Uni. It does strike me that maybe it's a bad idea having a set list anyway, I'd be tempted just to deal with it per month or a couple of months in advance, what if someone decides to quit in a few months time? Anyways does it really matter? If you're still coming for the weekend we can still change them over and everything and get a Buxton and Matlock ride in.
  14. I think Ozzy uses a zero at the beginning? 0zzy?
  15. Thanks love. How come you're not testing it?
  16. Have you ridden a heavy bike then got straight on a light one? If so, then you'll know it makes a huge difference and makes your life a lot easier.
  17. Bummer, hope it all gets sorted out! Benny, can you change the list round so me and Ogre are next to each other, we were planning on making a weekend out of swapping the frames over. Can I go earlier on than that in the list aswell? If it gets delayed (as it seems it might be) I want to have it done and sent on before September for when I go to Uni, because I won't have time when I get there! I'm also going away in the summer holidays down to Anglesey, so I'll be able to do lots of testing by the sea on the natty.
  18. I find it changes the way it rides a lot, I've got a +30 now and it's as low as I could stand I think, I'd prefer a +50 or similar.
  19. I had a Zona once, it was HUGE, it had a 1070 WB with my T-Pro forks and fooked chain. (The slaves were at a hilarious angle). I'd say get as big as you can get. Jon rides his Dob well, but he's fairly skinny I believe, if you're a bit of a heffer you'll want something bigger and stronger.
  20. I fancy one, but I can't justify it at the moment! Plus it wouldn't go so nice with the rest of my parts, and I want a higher bb than +10.
  21. Yeh, what kind of gimpoid would want go there?

    Team Caelifera!

Yeh I'm still up for that mate, you can have my Bro's bed, he doesn't use it much as he lives at our Mum's, which is only 5 minutes walk away. Dunno about a Manc ride though, lets get some natty going! If it's over a weekend and we know it advance what the dates are, then I should be able to organise a lift over to Matlock? We can get all the usuals to come and get everyone to have a go.

    Partz - London Ride

Loved that Matt, best London ride vid definately. Looks like Wills settling in to a proper frame now.
  24. I can understand you seeing it from this prospective, but I'd just like to point out that I for one don't mind testing it thoroughly, makeing videos, taking picture or writing reports, I'll enjoy that bit a lot! It's just that at the moment I'm trying to sort a motorbike out and money is seriously tight. There are only a couple of riders on the list I don't totally trust and think will give it their best shot. Given the riders that are on there I think it's good you feel this way now, because you'll probably be pleasantly surprised! From now on, let's forget all about the £70 DHL thing and move on. What I'd like to know now is: How much will it cost to post to the UK? Which month of the year will each of us have it in? Can we rearrange the list so that the bashers go at the end? (I have never dented a downtube in my life, so I'd rather go towards the beginning before it gets too beaten up.) I can understand the list being in geographical location first, but to be honest it won't make a huge difference to how much it costs. It might be the difference from £10 to send it up the road to £15 to send it to the other side of the country, but I'd much rather see the lighter riders get it first. Let's try and stay positive and stop arguing, I for one want to see this project work!
