  1. What are the inserts in the headtube all about? To stop the headtube flaring? I've only ever seen a flared headtube on frames where there was knock in the headset bearings. Surely it would make more sense just to make the headtube itself thicker? It'd add less weight than steel insert things.
  2. It just doesn't make sense not to put it on, all it will do is send potential customers elsewhere. If anyone is really that arsed about weight that they will grind off the disc mount to save it, then they'll grind it off!
  3. We use Freehostia.com at work, it's pretty damn good!
  4. It has been done, because Onza frames tend to hae super long drop-outs, so you can get an extra link out of the chain, then angle the slaves to point downwards. I'd just get a strong front rim if I were you, or get a better frame.
  5. So I've woken up at effectively 9AM instead of 8AM? My alarm clock and my computer automatically adjust, I think.
  6. Nope it's not, I've got the default font setting thing on the lightest setting there is, and I've fiddled with the CSS to get the font even lighter, but it's still bolder than every other browser.
  7. The only thing I really like about it is the loading bar and the address bar being one thing, but other than that I'm pretty indifferent. I absolutely hate the way it uses different fonts to the rest of the world, everything appears in bold, which is a real pain in the arse when building website because quite often the text starts a new line when it doesn't in every other browser.
  8. That's Anti-Spyware not Anti-Virus.
  9. AVG Free and Zone Alarm Firewall, there is no better combination in my opinion. I had McAfee for years, then Norton, but this combo is by far the best if you ask me. AVG. Zone Alarm. They are both pretty good on updates, they do it automatically, so you don't have to remember.
  10. I dispise grey squirrels, but I love red ones, so I guess I'm kinda in the middle ground?
  11. WHy have you got 3 computers? Nice keyboard by the way.

    Google Chrome.

Theres a super cool add-on for firefox called Download Statusbar, and instead of the extra box you just get a little loading bar thingy in the status bar for each download. If you close FireFox then it can either carry on next time you open, or it can be set to carry on with your downloads in the original sownload box. I've got FF3, IE6, Chrome, Opera and Safari on this computer for website testing, work have got IE7, so I can check for differences between IE6 and IE7, it's surprising how many there are! I've hardly used Chrome, I didn't like it when I did try it, I'm used to FireFox with all my Add-Ons. Is IE the problem by any chance? I sorted mine by adding in a section of code at the bottom that only IE reads.
  13. My Pro2 Trials is pretty damn loud, I suppose you could clean the grease out and stretch the springs, but it wouldn't last as long.
  14. It is the welded one, which is why he can't strip it.
  15. When your validated you can upload the spreadsheet, but for people without Excel it would be easier if you did what Eskimo said.
  16. His profile says mod Adam. If you want a lightweight rim that holds a grind pretty well, have a look at the Monty TIs, I used to have one, and the grind lasted for about a month with Rock Blues, and I rode in the rain a couple of times. I've had Try-Alls with grinds in the past, and they were OK, but no-where near as good as my Monty was.
  17. Errm, yes my hanger has been cut, and I'm using a Pro2 hub with M10 TI bolts. I've never seen a standard one, so I don't know what has been done to it, but when I bought it from Tarty Adam he definately said it was either a 4-Jeri or a Gusset, I can't remember. The whole bolt thingy that goes onto the mech hanger has been removed, there's nothing attached to that end apart from the arm thingy, it's a super neat job. I've no idea how he removed it though. It's a KHE Collapse chain.
  18. We definately can't go on Saturday, is it just you or can anyone else come?
  19. We'll be riding Matlock Quarry on the 2nd of November, so anyone fancy coming? Riders: Me Ryan Trickett. (Razz T) Think my brother's coming aswell Kyle Shaun Ginge Jon Congreve Stan Shaw Adam Bessell Court. Sam Oliver Nathan
  20. I'd get some other forks for it, any Echo or Koxx ones will do. Try and get them with disc and magura mounts though in case you want to upgrade. A Monty PR Stem would go nicely with some Monty TI/Try-All Rage bars. The first thing I'd do to it though is get some better pads for the rear brake, it looks like you've got magura black pads on a smooth rim, scary stuff. If you want to keep the rim smooth then I'd try and get some of the old compound Zoo pads, there's a few pair knocking around Ebay. If you want to grind your rim then I'd get some Koxx Browns or Plazmatic CRMs.
  21. Someone did a stress analisys thingy on a CAD program when the first driled Echo cranks came out, it looks like a gooda place as any to drill some holes, the center section takes almost no stress at all.

    Front Brake

I'd go for a Magura Louise if I were you, my brother has the 180mm version on his Mod, it's crazy, there's almost no modulation and it holds better than any brake I've ever owned, it just won't let go.
  23. I'd go for a Try-All front and a Monty rear, the rear Try-Alls seem to wear out really fast. I had a rear Creepy and a rear Monty at the same time once, they were very similar, but the Monty seemed to grip better and was bouncier.
