  1. The best thing to clean the pads is a blowtorch, this burns off any oil residue in the pads, then bed them in with mud, which scrubs the surface and gets them bedded in properly. To sort the pistons out, take out the pads and pull the lever in, then spray some WD40 on the pistons, then let go of the lever and wipe out the caliper really thoroughly, repeat if necessary.

    It means the same thing.

I concur, what a bunch of tards, they've clearly got it out for Hamilton.
  4. Bend the rotor back with an adjustable spanner, buying new rotors is just a waste of money.
  5. Hmm, didn't think of that. Lets you get XP Pro on it anyway Mike.
  6. PM PaRtZ, he's got a complete wheel for sale I believe.
  7. Check out overclockers.co.uk Mike, they'll build you a completely custom system for a decent price. Or you could just choose one of theirs and upgrade the soundcard. Like this one, leaving you £70 for a soundcard, which is enough for a pretty good one.
  8. I rode the Modstock version, it was really nice, the geometry was spot on for me, the only downside was the BB height was too low. I'm 5'11 and a medium ish build, your best bet is to try and have a ride on one if you can. My mate has an 07 pure which feels way to short for me, I think that's around 1070ish.
  9. All Monty hubs are the same spacing, and are something like 110mm, they are designed to have the snail cams outside the frame aswell, so when you put the cams inside the disc mount is offset wrong, so you need to pack the caliper out by about 5mm. This is from personal experience, I've had one for 7 months on my Mod and it's been fine, you just need to use the snail cams inside the dropouts and 2mm of washers on the end of the axle. If you're thinking of buying one, I'd get something else, but if you've already got one it can be made to work easily enough.
  10. Protective? It just amazes me how stupid some people can be, how is that ever going to be funny? No I haven't emailed Adam about it, but if it hasn't been sorted by the next time we're in touch, I'll let him know.
  11. Eerrm, you noticed? So why didn't you just email them and let them know? It's evidently just a mistake.

    Apple Or Pc?

Thats the main reason for the separate hard drives, plus I've got a 40gb one here doing nothing. I'm on Linux now, it's cool. I'll use Wine to get all my programs sorted out, I've no idea how well it will work though.

    Apple Or Pc?

Yeh I used to do it before I had to run two hard drives for WIndows. I've only got IDE Drives. :$ Because of where my computer is, it'll be really easy to swap them over, and it won't be very often anyway, I'll only use Linux to play with.
  14. I'd go for a Pro2 Trials and an Echo rim if I were you, but if you want a really strong rim, have a look at the undrilled TrialTech one.
  15. I've got a TMS stem with 20mm of stack under it, they come in a 130mm x 30D rise I think? Anyway, mines pretty high, and I love it.

    Apple Or Pc?

Not counting Linux? My Windows hard drive blew up last week, so I've got a new one coming from my mate at college, the plan is to have two hard drives inside the case, and just swap the ID and power cable when I want to change OSs. I don't trust myself with Dual Boot. I hate Macs, I've tried using them a few times when I was at sixth form and I just can't get used to them.
  17. That looks brilliant Adam, nice job! Any idea of the weights of the new rims yet? And will they come in a similar orange colour to the Atomz ones?
  18. 18lbs is super light, my bikes 22.5lbs and it feels light enough for me!
  19. That looks pretty amazing Alex, what cranks/freewheel are they?
  20. I'm there too Dave! I'll bring my entry along on the day if it's OK, I don't think it would arrive in time if I posted it now.
  21. It sounds to me like the rotor is fouling on the pads really badly. I'd put a couple of washer on the end of the hub axle, then pack the rotor out the same distance by putting washers under each rotor bolt, then you'll be able to shim the caliper out the right amount so it doesn't rub.
  22. That's some good news at last! But am I right in thinking there is no engine at the moment?
  23. Get a Hydroxx, or if you want to be really, really cool, get an Ozonys XR26.
