    The Angry Thread.

Lots of people posting bollocks on Facebook this morning... "Be proud of who you are" - What if you're a twat? Why would you be proud of that?
  2. Permanent pen? Or just don't look at it. I always type without looking now. Comes naturally when you spend 8 hours a day typing.
  3. Errm, yes they f**king well do.
  4. Will it last 10 times as long as a normal super lightweight tube? If not, that shit's a waste of time yo.
  5. Fuuuuuu, sounds like you're climbing well now then dude! What've you done on trad recently? I've barely climbed since September as I went back to uni and got fat. Now a whopping 210lbs and struggling to get up severe's. I started my new job last week though and starting to get back into a routine, so no more takeaways and spending every day in the pub.
  6. In Bath? Woo! I've got a couple of mates who are moving down there so chances are I'll end up being around there at some point, shall give you a shout if I am if you fancy a bum.
  7. Not suitable for trials, no. Just face it dude. Lightweight trials stems are already about as light as they can be without being dangerous, and they still break.
  8. Yes, they will. Trust me, I've done it before. If cranks come loose under force, the tapers have been damaged already. Might only be a tiny amount, but it's often enough so that you can never get them fully seated again and thus cause them to work loose in the future and become totally f**ked. I proved it once on a set of cranks fitted to a bike I bought brand new!
  9. No, don't. If you do that then the tapers will be destroyed. Just buy a crank extractor, any other method is a bodge.

Ahhhh, yeh bin it mate. When you add up the time and hassle spent fannying around with it, plus the money cost of sorting it, it'd be way cheaper to just buy a new one.
  11. Maybe it's an old listing? Might not be around any more...
  12. First link on Google: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C174238 "Taxed until 03/11, MOT to16/08/2011". Sounds taxed? Anyway, very interesting looking things they are. Not sure if it's a good thing that you recognised it that quickly/easily though haha.

If that's the case, it'll be the PSU killing it most likely, but it's very unlikely. I suspect more that someone in the shop your brother used to get it fixed told porkies to rip him off. I only say that because I've heard loads of shops doing the same scam. They charge the RRP for a drive they paid trade for, wack it in in about 5 minutes, charge an hour or more for labour and reinstall windows. Often the only thing that went wrong is that windows shagged itself. If it really is killing drives, then it's at least 2 years old and not worth replacing the PSU or the motherboard (unlikely to be a motherboard killing an HDD if you ask me but it's possible). Personally I'd just spend £300 on a new one in the sales.
  14. Yeh that sounds like an average/shit job. For £1300 it would have to be flawless, painted on all sides, ready polished and all sorted.
  15. For a single colour that's the top end of the range IMO. You'd only pay that at a seriously well known spray shop, with a history of doing show level bikes. From your average shop down the road, anywhere from £500 to £750 I'd say.
  16. Errrrrmmm, not quite convinced about that... See a freewheel locks one way and doesn't the other way, even if you put it up your bottom. The lockring unscrews in the same direction wherever it lives.
  17. Maybe it's because I'm not really a car bloke, but more of a bike bloke, but I'd say this is proper motoring journalism.

Blue screen of death? That's not necessarily related to the HDD at all.
  20. Me! Dunno why though. He just comes across as a bit of a twat to be honest...
  21. Ahh. I'd say it's OK for her to worry then to be honest. I'd go ape shit if my missus did the same.
  22. Yehhh, she's a worrier haha. As long as I let her know she'd be fine with it though.
  23. I'd be in unbelievable levels of trouble for doing that, unless I sent her a text message explaining that I wouldn't make it home, in which case it'd be fine. Does sound like she's a bit of a grumpus though.
  24. Managed to turn £20 into £70 tonight doing small bets on the tennis, happy days.
