  1. For the record Sam, I have not forgotten you exist; I've just been put off by the forecast of rain everyday. Especially after you nearly drowned on the way to Kingston last time.
  2. As a property owner, I could't help but think you might be damaging original floorboards, parquet flooring, that sort of thing.
  3. Reed Merschat would have been proud of that shot in the water at the end. I really liked some of those lines.
  4. Don't be a dick Sam, barspins are for champions. He's the first rider I've seen doing barspins without gripping the saddle between his legs. Strangely I thought his riding lacked flow, it was too stop starty - ironic given he has no brakes... sorry 'breaks.' Very good riding, perhaps a bit more variation would make for a more exciting video.
  5. I liked your spinny-bar tricks. Only a trials rider could say that they've literaly 'hit a wall' and get away with it. Persevere, try harder, move on to something else.
  6. Turned off after 24 seconds. The music was too much to take.
  7. Sorry for the simple answer, but any software will do.
  8. I think in 5 years time, all trials videos will be based on this framework; that is to say not much riding, lots of laughter, extreme darkness and shed-loads of Attenborough.
  9. It still appears that he favours a certain foot for certain moves which is interesting. You can tell that he still adjusts his feet from time to time - amazing though, he looks comfortable on both.
  10. Not trials so I'm going to stick this here. Sorry if it's been posted before.
  11. Let's see if we can make this topic even more dull. I can now: - gap about 4 foot - get up (to two wheels) about 2 foot - drop about 4 foot (any higher is too scary) I'm having so much fun it's like I've started trials all over again, but I do look like a wally.
  12. I was chatting with Sam Nichols the other day about riding with my weaker foot forward; we both gave it a try, with varying degrees of success. I was under the impression that it you were riding with your weaker foot forward it wasn't too dissimilar to throwing in an x-up or a crank flip - you're essentially making things harder for yourself to 'style it up' so to speak. Last night I was out riding and it finally clicked. I've always known that Chris Akrigg can ride pretty competently with either foot and doing so helps him link lines together and eliminates the need to keep re-adjusting his pedals. Take this clip of me for example. I need two pedal strokes to get up from the bench to the wall, but have to re-adjust because my stronger foot is already at the front and needs to be the second stroke of a two pedal motion. The same thing happens when I drop down again. I like to use a left pedal stroke to get onto the back wheel, but my right foot is at the front causing me to re-adjust the pedals again. http://youtu.be/Pd_TZU3-08Y The result = messy riding. So my question is, do people purposefully use their weaker foot? Do you ride switch to help you link obstacles together and keep the flow in your riding? Do you use both feet without even thinking about it? Am I the first person to have bored you with such a dull topic? Stephen.
  13. Thanks for more positive comments everybody. I could be wrong, but I think you get to a stage when it's no longer about going big but just about having fun; hopefully that comes across. This is the first video I've made that doesn't have any good riders in it, just me, so I'm glad people still enjoyed it. Yes Nick, the rocks are still there in Battersea Park, as are the ones in Victoria Park that Mark mentioned. The ones in Victoria Park are a bit squarer, probably as close to street as natural riding gets but it's in the middle of a children's playground so can be a nightmare at the height of summer. There is a cool skatepark and paddling pool area as well which can be fun diversions. Battersea as I'm sure you remember is more secluded, fairly compact and has a dirty little pond at the bottom. All the local spots (hexagons, tricks and stunts playground etc) have been demolished, but there's still some stuff to ride in the local housing estates. Brap. The plan for the next video is either a video set in south London's housing estates or something in town at the lesser known trials spots if there is such a thing. Stephen.
  14. Thank you for answering my question with such vigour and enthusiasm. Video feedback: - When you rode over the bridge, I was hoping you'd drop off (looks about 20 foot, give it a try.) - That location in front of the waterfall looks amazing. - If you want to film yourself brushing your teeth and making coffee again, you're welcome to borrow my GoPro.
  15. I enjoyed that very much.
  16. Question: Was that coffee you were making? I've never seen it made like that before and didn't quite understand what that silver thing was?
  17. Cheers Tom. My bike and riding style would appear to be a time capsule, giving newer riders a small insight into how things worked in 2002. Kingston's not bad, worth a ride if you're in the area. The video was also filmed in Wimbledon, Wandsworth and Colliers Wood. Thanks very much, Rowan.
  18. I found that strangely captivating. I would also recommend you turn your light off; you'll sleep much better.
  19. I've made a video It started life as a test video for a new (now old) GoPro, but turned into something longer and hopefully better. The music is 'Mr Understanding' by Pete and the Pirates. Thanks to Tim Rodriguez and Steve Tse for filming a lot of it.
  20. Rapping NOT raping. Similar words, very different meanings. ... and what an amazing video. Really fun to watch, lines that went on forever and ever, round and round in circles.
  21. Guys, stop it, you're making me blush. It was a great weekend, despite the rain; the video's a great reflection of what went on and how great the atmosphere was.
  22. Amazing quote. Kind of sums up my last 13 years.
  23. Reed Merschat's Revolution, Evolve and Contact. Job done, no need for a vote.
