  1. To do a proper job I'd get no riding done at all. Plus there's going to be twenty different groups all over the place, you'd need a camera crew to do it justice.
  2. How dare you, who do you think you are? Don't you know who I am? We'll just see how things go. If it all kicks off we'll just have to stay South of the river; failing that, everybody's welcome back to mine for a Cornetto. Anyway, there's plenty to ride that isn't on the 'Sloped walls, Tate, St Pauls' route. My tips for London newcomers is that there's a place called 'The Barbican' and a place called 'New Scotland Yard' where they love trials, take your friends.
  3. I don't want to sound negative, but why call the press and Mayor of London to alert them of our impending criminal damage? There seems a good chance that we could all be portrayed very badly, as if a swarm of locust had descended down on the City of Westminster. Fortunately London's a big enough place that if we do get problems with the police we'll be able to find somewhere out of the City to ride, but I'm just not sure it's a very good idea. On the whole it's just a bit frustrating that 'Jump London' was such a big thing, but trials is completely underground by comparison; I just can't imagine trials getting similar ratings on Channel 4.
  4. Joe Hodges... which means there will be lots of one-wheely bikes around too.
  5. I once created a website with just that information on it, but I decided against publishing it. Truth be told, there's so much stuff to ride in every direction just in the City. Then there's Camden, Islington, Chelsea, Battersea, Wandsworth etc. Just ask on the day, I've ridden London about a hundred times but still keep finding new stuff.
  6. Ryan Leech rides what he likes and how he likes. I can't say I'm particularly enamored with his 'Manifesto' but he was better 8 years ago than 95% of the riders on this forum are now. Fo Old School but still amazing seek out Jeff Lenosky.
  7. Who are Wes and Kenny? Will there be refreshments? I'll be there, might just film the spectacle... not sure.
  8. It saves weight. Very clever. Anywho, perhaps not the best video ever, but it's nice to see something a bit different, a film with a bit of a narrative.
  9. What's wrong with steel? That's how I roll. That video was simply terrible STAR WIPE and REPEAT. It's a shame really because the riding wasn't bad.
  10. Do you mean the one right at the start, onto the water-wall thing? Sounds great except Tim lives in London and I'm moving back there in the next couple of weeks. Maybe next Summer or in London or something?!
  11. I've dusted off the camera to produce this latest offering for you all. It was filmed between March and October of this year on the few occassions that Tim Rodriguez and I got the chance to meet up and ride. It's 70mb since I didn't really want to compromise too much on quality. I've put it on YouTube and Vimeo.com since that seems to be the way to do things these days. That said, having checked both, the quality is pretty shoddy so I may upload them somewhere else later - any suggestions? Enjoy... Vimeo link Stephen Morris.
  12. Wow, what a lot of negativity. There seems to be a shortage of well filmed and well edited trials videos at the moment, I certainly haven't seen anything recently that flicked my switch. I don't think there was anything wrong with your riding. Perhaps it leans too much towards bmx for everybody's taste and yes it's a trifle repetative but if the music was a little more mainstream, the video quality was higher and the filming was better then I doubt everybody would be so quick to say it was shit. But unfortunately in this instance it was a bit crap.
  13. I always find the switch from London to Milton Keynes really hard to take visually. Really nice and relaxed video, just a bit of a shame it was all filmed on a tripod. Top notch riding as well, I'm guessing you've ridden with Phil Feeney once or twice.
  14. Cheers for the video John - I'll download that tomorrow after I've been to Scouts. Nick, I'm actually riding nowadays and learning all this modern shit like gaps to front wheel and sidehops (29 inches is still the record!) I hope to be in London a few times this Summer. Me you and Tim should have a low-key ride. Maybe Tim could give you Napoleon Dynamite back! Are you on Facebook? Add me. Oh and cheers for the comment Tom.
  15. 10 points each for somebody who can send me/upload the following videos: Richard III Whip it Good It would be lovely to see them again.
  16. I'll come along, but seriously what's this current obsession with how many people are coming and the concept of taking a group photo? Are we going to start taking a register soon? Should we have our teachers sit at the front like a school photo? Trials is already a really, really geeky sport; people wear lycra and take tape measures out with them - let's not try and make it worse eh?
  17. Those bikes are crazy... 'Limey' and 'DOB' never heard of them! You've got much better though Steves, and Coombes on a 26", at last!
  18. Funeral: Pixies - 'Where is my mind' It's both a brilliant song and apt.
  19. What drop gap is this then? I quite fancy the idea of a group ride in Poole so may pop by.
  20. Aspire Velo Tech are a mail order company who work predominantly on eBay. They are the World's largest Chris King distributor and I would highly recommend them. www.aspirevelotech.com 001-866-551-2453
  21. There's only 1 trials rider who lives in Hampton - Tim Rodriguez. I used to live there, and it's pretty basic for trials. Might keep you busy for a few hours tops. In case you don't get in touch with Tim, there are square plant pot type walls outside the little Sainsburys and a couple of walls/recycle bins in the car park and by the youth club. You'll also find a few more walls dotted about in the Nurserylands. Whilst Hampton is technically Greater London, there's not much to ride there. Try Kingston or Richmond.
  22. Hello Fred & Nick! I really do ride my bike sometimes! The L3350N is purple, it had been black for about 4 years and was beginning to look a bit haggered. I think Clive Leeson thought I was a bit of a gay when I requested purple. Fred, I thought you and Tic did Hampshire comps? Stephen.
  23. - BBC trials documentary. (feat: Matt & Ed Tongue, Martin Ashton, Martin Hawyes and Chris Akrigg). - Revolution, Evolve, Contact - Reed Merschat. - Tricks & Stunts and Bi-King. - Chainspotting.
