  1. Then buy the one up which isn't a total starter bike if you want a 19" back wheel?

    2010

Lots of good times with friends, been with Mel since the start which has literally been the most amazing thing EVER! f**ked my ribs on the DJ ride which hurt, lots. Sold the bump which was an error but replaced it with another sweeeet Leeson. College is good, Land Rover is good, got a job, money is alright for a change, dad's still here so all in all a good year. Roll on 2011.
  3. Think Luke was getting at a high bb low front end thing in true TGSORZ fashion
  4. On another note, what background do you have with riding? And how tall/ big are you? A lot of people will bang on about 20"s being better, they can be but to be honest there's very little between them. If you've ridden mtb beforehand, a stock could be better (26" wheels) as it'll feel more like an actual bike, or if you just want something to play on and branch out into trials there's always the option of a 24" (feels a lot like a proper bike, my 609 does for sure) Best bet would be to keep an eye on the rides section, turn up to a local one and ask to have a go on a few people's bikes - you'll get a feel for what you'd feel best on
  5. So good, want to get out on the bike soooo badly after that! You monsters
  6. In which case, ignore me! Thought he'd out it down as a spec he was gonna build up and had overlooked it, rather than a copy pasta from you guys
  7. Yeah, completely un-related. These guys used to be absolute monsters back in the day - the Duality vid always used to get me in the mood for a ride! Looks gorgeous though mate, something about Leesons... They're just right (hence why i've owned 3 haha) Very pleased to see that there's another one been made, this is the 3rd or 4th i know has been done this year - all as favours to old friends as you've said, but brilliant to know he's still doing them. My dreams of a 2win disc 609 may still happen one day
  8. That's ridiculous. Getting on for half the weight of my 24" (well, almost...) I can't stand how light bikes ride though, as Mike said they just have no stability. I remember Jon mack's old Dob which just felt so wrong to be on - maybe i just like having something to work against haha
  9. I Wanna Be Adored playing right now, so good. Having a day of "f**k i forgot how epic that was"
  10. It is quite a lot, but if it feels good just run it
  11. Properly cool idea this, Julian! Loving the Leeson content, too That mod's called a 505 if you want it's 'proper' name, btw.
  12. How the f**k can anyone have that much bounce in them?!
  13. Looks fresh mate, not a fan of the super low-slung approach though. Just looks too low, if you get me?
  14. To be honest, he was just saying he's looking forward to trying a new bleed - what's wrong with that?
  15. Practice just getting it to the balance point stationary too (well, rolling very slowly) and sitting there, that helped me quite a bit. Also makes for superawesomely smooth set ups to things.
  16. As you lean back and put pressure through your legs, try and sit back into it if that makes any sense? Look where you're going too and just feel what's going on beneath you.
  17. Have more of a life! Still be with Mel this time next year. Get riding and sailing again; got a bike i've ridden once and a beast of a boat which has been out 3 times. Get DMM at college. Put more effort into my arty stuff, update that blog Charlie made me do more often... Finish Bernard and pass my test asap.

    Brake Cable

Any cable will be alright if you lube it up nicely. I've got linear outers with gt85 sprayed down them and clark's inners from halfords with a fair bit of grease on 'em atm, Plenty smooth enough and have stretched very little (having used the same inners on both my bikes over time)
  21. You're progressing scarily quickly, i need to ride more after seeing that. Nice vid though! Work on those manuals
  22. Can't imagine ever running 18:15 on a 24 I had that on my Pitbull + 660, even then with bigger wheels it felt too light for me. Running 20:15 on the 609 atm, was 20:14 when i got it which actually felt pretty nice. I suppose i'm more used to something heavy after pissing about on a bmx for a few months, though...
  23. I'd imagine f**king her would go something like this;
