  1. 400 pounds will get you a pretty awesome bike second hand, take a look on eBay and on here. I assume you want a stock?
  2. But you can run a 32h hub with a 36h rim, I think.?
  3. I think that's just how it is, I'm right foot forward and I use the left to raise the front wheel. Which is why for pedalups, you use your left to raise the front then kick with your good foot to raise the bike.
  4. You defiantly look like your improving, but a steadier camera would make it look a lot better.
  5. For strength I'd recommend the Rohloff Speedhub one for strength, mines taken a few pretty good hits and it's bent but it hasn't snapped like my previous ones. Although, I got mine on a bike I got second hand and I admit I'd be hesitant to buy something I know I'd hit a lot so would probably be tempted by the Trialtech.
  6. Personally, I don't like that sort of style of editing. Seems a bit over produced, I just prefer it to be simple and so that all of the rider is in the shot. And I agree with the above posts about the riding, it was good and all but I got the sense that it wasn't his best at all. Still, I watched it the whole way through and thought it was pretty good.
  7. I find watching videos of bails and stacks almost more motivating then normal videos. Like the video on Redbull of Macaskill's April 2009 bails shows how much he actually had to push himself to do those lines so then it made me want to push myself as much as he was, despite the huge skill difference. And you can try visualization and that stuff, like thinking what you're going to do if something goes wrong and make sure it'll be easy enough to bail. Also you could try videoing yourself. When I made a video I realized how small everything I was doing was and saw that if I bailed it wouldn't be that bad. And pallets are probably best for this as you can increase them bit by bit, although, eventually you'll just have to go for it and hope for the best, otherwise your progression will be pretty slow.
  8. Focus on leaning back more, as if you're in a sitting position. It would probably help to film yourself and you'll probably see that you're leaning too far forward from the kick. Also, watch this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cuo7BslZXz8 and then, go here - www.trashzen.com
  9. I have a question based on brake pads (sorry for the thread hijacking) which is, on Tarty when they say that they're good for grinds, I assume they'll also work well on a smooth rim? Just wondered, also I'd recommend the Crocos
  10. nice video, gap to the tree branch and post were most awesome
  11. I thought it was something to do with what side of the road people drive on. In Britian we're on the left so when you're making a right turn (more difficult/dangerous) it's better to be able to use the back brake when indicating because then you won't go over the bars. Or something like that...
  12. Looks jazzy, but a lot of effort to save 43g

It was pretty good, but I hated the big drop. My thinking is you should only drop off what you can actually get up to, rather than lifting your bike. And also it doesn't look like he held it, so it annoys me he faded out to make it look like he did. But still, nice to see someone else riding in a non-TGS style and looks like he's improving Edit - another thing I didn't like was his hoodie with his name on.
  14. If you like that 1984 stuff and all that...
  15. I used pliers, probably not the best way, but it worked...
  16. Amazing all round video, like it very much
  17. Wanted it to be way longer but awesome riding What frame is that?
  18. The filming annoyed me personally, just thought it was moving around too much and I'd rather be see the shots from further back. But the riding was really good and the music went well
  19. It was in there, just for literally the seconds where he's saying 'I'll see you next time' though
  20. I'm now watching one about road quality on Portsmith?
  21. I progressed way more learning them when I was brakeless for a few days, rolling into a fakie then just pulling up, but on flat I can sort of use my brake to get more momentum if I'm pulling up from a standstill. Oh yea, this thread is about 180s...
  22. Sort of pull back more when your twisting off,not sure how to word it...
  23. Awesome, loving these mini vids you're doing
