  1. I can listen to music when riding XC but I don't like listening to music when riding trials. I can't put my finger on why.
  2. '04 Magura lever body with a 2-bolt bar clamp and a lever blade in the style of the freshproduct or RB blades to be on it as standard.
  3. Is there movement/play in the headset or is it just making a noise? If there is movement then my guess would be (like I said) that something isn't in the right order, or is missing. Or the crown race might not be seated at the bottom of the forks properly. Or if it has slip wedges top and bottom, they might be the wrong way around. Might be a silly question, but have you done up the top cap bolt tight enough to give a good amount of pre load in the headset? If the "clicks" is just a sound with no movement/play in the headset, the just take it apart, clean it and put it back together with plenty of grease.
  4. I would take the headset apart and make sure it is all in the right order.
  5. Lots. How much are you willing to pay for a mild convenience?
  6. There are no screws that I can see, so I think we must be on the right track. You can get just the glass for the Iphone 4 as well but I heard that it is such a faff getting the old LCD off and gluing it back on, that you might as well spend the extra £10 - £15 on getting it all in one piece.
  7. Yes. I was talking about a replacement for an iphone 4 though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replacement-Black-LCD-Screen-and-Digitizer-For-iPhone-4-Tools-Included-/180959952102?pt=UK_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item2a220dbce6 Blimey. Replacements for S3s aren't cheap.
  8. They are glued to make them thinner and if you are willing to replace it yourself, you can get a screen for like £25 on eBay. It is relatively easy to do and there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube.
  9. I don't see the gain of the wireless charging pads. I can't balance up the price it would cost and the space it will take up against plugging it in. Unless it was properly wireless needing no pad to sit on, I think it is a waste of money. It is basically a dock I can get for my iphone for £2.50 on ebay but you don't have to put it on it a certain way. Back on topic, I also think you should consider a cheap tesco phone for climbing. Unless you get a seriously knock proof case, dropping it from lets say 10ft is probably going to do some damage.
  10. Never done it myself but cranks get a lot of wear on the front of them from use. So I imagion the paint would wear off quite quick. It's worth a try though. Edit: Snaked.
  11. I would hate to have a phone that I would have to charge every day. With that kind of usage, my phone will last about 2 days before it drops to around 20% and my phone is supposed to have quite a bad battery life reputation (iphone 3gs). With my average use though, I can get about 4 days out of my phone before it needs charging as my usual phone usage it just texts, calls and 10-20 mins using wifi/3g. Maybe it is the way I charge batteries. For instance, I never leave it charging over night and I usually do a full charge cycle from around 15-20% when I can. I guess the same could be said about the money we spend on our bikes. Why spend £400 on an inspired fourplay frame when you can get an onza zoot frame for £235? They both are capable frames, but you know one is better and that is why people want it.
  12. If you want more adjustment with bite point, I would go for the hope tech lever. I had the echo brake briefly and I wasn't overly impressed,
  13. The only one I have used is iMovie, but that was only briefly and on someone else's phone so I can't give you a full review or anything. It seemed to do as much as I would expect from a mobile app.
  14. How would you describe your average day usage?
  15. I would have the HTC out of the two. I would even have one over a galaxy s3. The HTC is much better looking, just as fast in my experience and they don't feel cheap and nasty like all samsung phones do. EDIT: However like dann2707, if the one x is too big (which in my opinion it is, 4.7in screen is just too big for a mobile phone) go for the one s. 4.3inch screen, which is about as the max size I think a phone should have and the aluminium unibody makes it feel really nice and top end. It would be the phone I would get if I wanted an android phone. EDIT AGAIN: Also out of all the people I know with a top end samsung phones, their battery will not get them through a day of average usage.

Yeah, it is ok I guess. Cheers for the comments.
  17. Less stackers and high rise bars would finish that bike off nicely in my opinion. Looks like a very fun bike.

22/15. But the dropouts have been filed to make it work. The inspired is way more fun and therefore gets ridden a hell of a lot more. Yes, it is Mark's old frame.

Both my bikes are basically exactly how I want them and I think they are looking good, so I thought I would share some pictures.
  20. The weight of the team forks might include the one piece top cap which isn't included on the element forks. So if you included the weight of a star nut, top cap and bolt, the weight difference if a bit bigger. Although I expect most people (me included) buy the teams over the elements for the one piece top cap, so that they can run their hose/cable through it and asthetics rather then weight.
  21. As far as I am aware, it is just details like the threaded steerer tube and the drilled and smoothed drop outs which adds cost on the team forks but is saved on the element forks. They are all same fork, so strength should be equal. Weight is an issue, which is why you don't see them on many "pure" trials bikes. Especially when other strong forks, like the trialtechs are about 100g lighter.
  22. Martyn Ashton told be about trials-forum and tartybikes years ago at a demo when I was talking to him about how I wanted to give trials a go. Although I didn't join the forum for a year or so after that.
  23. No I didn't say my 3gs is better than an s3, I said that the s3 is obviously faster but it can be more choppy then my 3gs when zooming in and out of things and on the homescreen. Every android I have ever been on has done this as well. Maybe the fact that android is built for so many devices is the problem. IOS is designed to be used on Apples hardware only so it is optimised for the job. I guess it is a lot harder to make software work to it's full potential on so many different devices. But I am no expert, only a guess... Posting it too me would be a better relief of frustration then throwing it against the wall Back it up on your computer in itunes. right click on it in the devices list and click back up. Then you should be able to restore your new phone from the back up you make.
