  1. I'll just comment on shoes cause my jackets I ride in are terrible and I need a proper dedicated one ha. With regards to shoes there's plenty of options out there but in terms of performance nothing seems to compare to five tens. The grip, comfort and rigidity seem spot on. I've had plenty of experience with them or been around others trying alternatives and five tens always come out on top. In terms of lifespan I've had my five ten free riders 2 and a half years now and they've done ~700 laps in whistler bike park and god knows how much xc/enduro riding in that time and I'm confident they'll last at least until the end of the next summer season. Although I have seen people with the five ten impacts have issues with the sole separating where it is glued on the side but this can be repaired but isn't ideal. I'd advise getting some free riders (they're the cheapest too) and you won't look back until a long time in the future when they eventually wear out.
  2. I'm looking to see if anyone in the know can shed some light on the new magura mt2 brakes. On the face of it they seem to be very good value for money and look to be similar to MT6s just without the lever adjustability. Ive not had any experiences with magura discs. I'm a big fan of the workings and feel of shimano brakes, having used xt, slx and zees on my mountain bikes for quite a while now and would be interested to find out what they compare like to those. Slx brakes are my other likely choice apart from the Maguras. Theyre to go on an inspired console, likely on 180mm ice tech rotors. Thanks
  3. Hey folks, Not had a trials bike in a long time but couldn't resist the urge with the array of spots to ride on hand here in Vancouver. Pleasantly surprised with progress so far, some brakes might make an appearance down the line though.
  4. I enjoyed it as expected. I think it can only get better too whilst they iron out a few little things. I have to admit that the review done by Chris Harris on the same track in the exact same three cars that was probably filmed at a similar time was a much better review. The Grand Tour didn't really inform me on much at all where as Chris Harris's review was much more in depth and I preferred it. But it was still very entertaining and what this trio are all about.
  5. I've seen they've released the new arcade frame kit, but no full build arcade yet? It'll be a shame if there is to be no more console in the range, although inspired do seem to have a massive range now compared to when I used to ride years ago.
  6. Is it looking likely that new a range of arcade/console bikes will be released soon? A console build could be ideal for what I'm after.

Always enjoy the vlogs, keep it up man
  8. That reminded me of one I had last year, for a week or so I'd get phone calls every night off this woman and her husband in tears saying there was nothing anymore between us and to leave them alone after apparently having an affair with his Mrs. It took so much convincing them that they'd got the wrong number. Think I still have a bit of text convo screenshotted somewhere. At the time I thought it was just my mates trying to pull one on me.

    New Mtb Advice

I'd steer clear of the on one, I know the first 20 or so at least cracked and the marzocchi parts they got for them were all leaking before they were out of the box and built onto bikes. The 29" versions all snap on the chainstay too. If they've updated the frames to be stronger and have rockshox kit on they may be worth a second look though.
  11. In a predicament at the moment, I was meant to be moving to Vancouver from Whistler at the end of October. Unfortunately we missed out on a big contract at work that was going to take us to the end of October, the last month has been pretty dry and it looks like work will finish next week so funds are mega tight at the moment and I somehow have to fund the move and living in Van till I get a job there. (I spent my money all summer on beer and bikes) My other option would be to move back to England for Winter which I'm worried I would majorly regret but I could live rent free and pay off some bills and save for next summer and do all the things I had planned to do. It seems the most sensible thing to do, but as of yet I don't have any work I could go straight into there either. Also last year was hard enough moving back after doing a summer season without a work visa and now I have one I'm really worried I'd majorly go on a downer having moved back while missing out on the opportunity to use it. (I'm 100% a summer person not winter too). Not sure what I'd planned on achieving writing this but it does feel better to put some words down somewhere.
  12. Don't fly it over a lake Spent an hour last week diving to the bottom of a lake trying to find one that someone had dropped in. Was pretty hilarious to watch, we could see it coming for ages.
  13. I enjoy the photos people share in here, it needs to be done more often. Quick one from me, standard slow shutter back of pick up truck shot on a road trip to Sun Peaks a month or so back.
  14. Cheers for the help guys. It is pretty special out here Mark, the scenery and landscape is pretty spectacular so there's surely some ideal trials spots here which perked up my interest.
  15. I've been out of the trials loop for a number of years now, I'm currently living in Whistler but moving to Vancouver for Winter. With the current exchange rate to the £ (me earning Candian dollars here) something like the Echo Pure bikes can be had mega cheap for me here. I'm tempted to get one to have a play on during the winter. I seem to remember there being a bit of a scene in Vancouver. Can anyone point me into the right direction if they still exist?
  16. Can anyone shed some light on this Navara Chassis problem? My Dad has one at home, an 07 plate he's had from new.

That interview of Rosberg is so frustrating. He gets given so many opportunities to say the right thing, to come clean or accept defeat but it's never his fault according to him.

It was really pissing me off that Hamilton had done everything that was asked of him and yet Nico was out in front at the mid stage and then only given a one lap earlier pit stop that got messed up in order to try get by. How on earth Nico can blame it on Hamilton is beyond me. The onboard footage says it all. If you've just had a brake by wire failure then any normal person would let Hamilton by, but he thought he'd try take him out as well. I was so satisfied watching the red bull and ferrari pass by.
  20. Thought this one was the best so far. Chris Harris's Ferrari segment was by far the best part of any of the shows so far in my opinion. I am kinda annoyed with the show in a few ways, I'd have much preferred it if they approached it with a bit more honesty, by that I mean acknowledged those before them and moved on into a new direction. Instead they've just tried to copy and be louder. It's still brilliantly filmed at times and fantastic cars and I do believe it will only get better. It really frustrated me that for months and months before it had even been aired people had already given up on it and not given it a chance. Also all these people still moaning left right and centre while just bumming The Grand Tour trio. Yes they'll likely make a great show anyway with dicking about in it so they're going to get their entertainment anyway but they need to get over the fact actual Top Gear is different now.
  21. 300mm, although on full frame that means getting pretty close.
  22. First attempt at shooting wildlife.
  23. My weekend consists of going to the play off final at wembley and then catching a flight from London to Canada. Not too shabby.
  24. My Bronson and Commencal ready for Whistler. I've only actually rode the DH rig once in the UK, the Bronson is just too good, especially with the new shock. Cannae wait.
  25. I'm heading out to Whistler again on Sunday, can't wait! I also happen to have a green bronson.
