  1. Are you offering them for free?
  2. Wasn't referring to you. Laurence up there posted a disgusting photo of a man with a log through half his body...
  3. You should take that photo down before someone reports you or a mod might ban you for posting disgusting shit like that.
  4. A lot of those XML lights are similar to each other. Go on ebay and search for something like CREE LED bike light along with either Q5, T6, XML, Ultrafire and you'll get loads of results. It's not just limited to the 4 I said, there's loads, they were the ones that came to mind first. Some have built in rechargeable batteries, some take AAs, some take AAAs, some come in pairs, some don't. LOADS!
  5. They are not track hubs. If you google imaged track hubs you can see that there are 2 separate threads on the hub, one for the screw on cog which screws clockwise to tighten up, then a second set of threads for the lockring that screws counter clockwise to tighten up. On the hubs your dad has, the lockring won't even fit as the lockring is smaller in diameter. So my answer is you won't be able to turn that into a fixed drive. Even if you find a lockring that fits on there, both the cog and lockring will just unscrew itself when you try to brake. You could weld the cog on... but that's a waste. The easier way in my opinion is just get a cheap track hub and rebuild the wheel! EDIT: And yes, most track hubs are 120mm spacing (I'm guessing your dads hubs are 135mm?), though 135mm track hubs exist. But the majority are 120mm. You could also get a 120mm track hub and add some spacers to space it to 135mm.
  6. Is the original hub a track hub?
  7. I know for a fact nathie wafie on here is selling his for £150 (rode with him last night), it's not a piece of shit either. I would buy it myself if I had £150 but I don't. Might be worth messaging him.
  8. I think you would only notice the difference if you rode a more expensive first. If this is the first fixed he's getting, he doesn't have any to compare it to so might not feel odd or horrible. But for £67, as already mentioned, don't expect it to last long! Certainly don't bother building it up over time with better components either, if I got that I would ride it till it dies and only replace things like inner tubes.
  9. That is one cool looking helmet. I want one, but I have no use for it.
  10. My confusion was that this topic was about a top cap, so when tdubz mentioned head doctor I forgot about the expanding wedge and only thought of the top cap that it came with haha. I really need to read things more than once
  11. Wait I see what you mean now JD, the head doctors expanding wedge would fit in the fork but the top cap that comes with the head doctor won't fit the sloping stem. My apologies
  12. He said a head doctor top cap would fit on a sloping stem, which it wouldn't.
  13. It doesn't. If a normal top cap fits "happily" in the sloping stem, 1. Why would tdubs have problem fitting it? 2. What would be the point in sloping top caps?
  14. You don't have to have a mac to edit videos. A mac doesn't also mean it's a better for editing videos either. I personally use Sony Vegas Pro 10, not free but I'm sure you can figure ways out on how to get it. EDIT: Just re-read the original post, vegas no go. I found it to be the easiest to get used to compared to premier.
  15. I had a 09 Malum, the frames itself is nice but no barspin clearance if you want it and it only fitted thin tyres, but the 2012 has improved loads. Much nicer components and all around, nice starter into fgfs.
  16. I don't see why not, but if you really want to make sure email tarty.
  17. Any of the ones that's in stock will fit.
  18. It doesn't really. If you tried half the bolt head would not be sitting flush with the top cap, and if you tried to tighten it the bolt would bend or snap. And when you do snap it, you have to spend another few quid on a new head doctor bolt. Mind you a lot of people have snapped their head doctor bolts because they are so ham fisted with it, the bolt is only there to preload the headset bearings. Also sloping top caps are an oval shape and not a circle like normal top caps like the head doctor so I don't know why you are even trying to fit it. Waste of time and money and now you might have even ruined the monty top cap. Lastly, tarty have 3 (non monty) sloping top caps in stock. Nothing wrong with using those one of those right?
  19. Why on earth did you even tried to fit a head doctor to an angled stem?
  20. Frame reminds me of a rockman slate...
