Sandlbast if you can, but keep away from the inside of the headtube, brakes mount threads and bb threads. Nitromorse if you don't have access to a sand blaster, nitromorse is messy. I've sandblasted forks with a fairly fine grade sand before and the forks came out a bit matt, then several coats of spray paint went on really nice and came out like a pro had done it.

Measure your inside leg and looks for the standover height of the frame if possible. I'm about your height and a 52-56cm is comfortable. But people have different size legs so best to measure your inside leg too.

I'm sure of you are serious about a mod video TF would happily donate you parts for one. I have a few tiny bits I don't mind getting rid off.

Not related to your pads but I bought some "limited edition" plazmatic crms off ebay for CHEAP, they have no colour, imagine the milk bottle kind of colour. Are they real or fake?

Get a light and shine it down the jack on the phone, see if there's dust collected in there. I had a problem once, no exactly like yours but there was a few mm of dust had compacted down the earphone jack making my iphones inline mic not work. What other earphones are you using?
