  1. You know it's summer when you wake up at 7 and think it's 12...
  2. For future reference, putting some cooking oil on a rag and rubbing it brings it off quickly, then you can take off the oil with soapy water.
  3. To be fair, she hates Ben as much as everyone else, but she's stuck with him really...
  4. Yep, the trials specific version has a green lock ring, all the others have different colours. The other models have 36 EPs and the trials one has 72.
  5. And if Bellick is in there with them, you know he'll pull a T-bag black mail take me along with you thing...
  6. If you can tell us what hub you have, and/or take a picture of it we would be able to help you a lot more.
  7. I had to pick something, I picked this P.S. read it 4 years ago now, off my own back. To be fair, I chose that cos I was messing too, but the more I think about it the more I realise I actually care.
  8. It would make me feel better if I thought that people would know that room 101 was from the novel, but most don't, hence it won't draw any more attention to the point, unfortunately.
  9. Sorry Rory, people round here will slag you off, just let it roll off your back, don't comment on or reply to it, just ignore it, Jake will get bored and find someone else to piss off.
  10. Yeah, the koxx forks had a +30 disc mount if I remember correctly, that meant a 160 caliper on a 190 disc.
  11. PM Ali C, he'll sort you out, you can pay by paypal.
  12. I personally have never had a problem with a KMC kool chain, but the KHE collapse is pretty much the strongest thing out there right now... About removing and rejoining pins, it can be done with a normal chain splitter, however you may have to mess around a bit, to rejoin an 1/8 chain on my mini park chain tool need to bring the pin pusher right back, but it works. The pins aren't noticeably tighter than a mtb chain.
  13. Yeah, I know it makes no sense, but physio exercises aren't exactly tiring and I find martial arts very relaxing.
  14. Walls from tires or any thing else.
  15. So far I've had good results with sink blues, but I hear that JoyPads are amazing, so try them in sink adaptors.
  16. I tend to either be doing a martial art, or physio exercises when I'm too tired to be doing trials...
  17. One word, Negotiate, also toothpaste is great for covering black marks.
  18. I hope that isn't aimed at me, I've got nothing against this Ryan kid, haven't said a word against him, I'm just commenting on the degradation of a powerful literary idea...
  19. Sorry, that was wrong what I said, that was the yield stress...
  20. Just because something survives one slopestyle run does not make it strong, he might be having his wheels changed every run! How do you not get this? If these spokes were to survive the same number of runs as a normal wheel then I would be impressed, but until a direct comparison is made one cannot judge them. I shall prove this using logic, observe: when was the last time you saw a worn tire on a pro Downhiller's bike? Never, right? So obviously these tires don't wear out on the pro's bike, so they won't on mine. Wrong, the pro's use the softest stickiest stuff that's made and change the tires very frequently for performance, but you still never see a worn tire. The same thing applies to these spokes, it would be bad for the companies image for their product to be seen failing, so they will replace it as often as is necessary on their show rider (Bearclaw) to stop that happening. End of!

    Scared

The best idea I can come up with is to take up something you can do on the ship, I assume they have basketball courts, so try that, or squash, you'll find it's easy to replace one sort of physical exercise with another. The emotional thing is hard, I go to university 400 miles from home, so far since I moved down in October I've been up for 7 days and 17 days. I found it hard at first, I missed all my friends, even missed the rents a bit, but making friends at university made life a lot easier, as did staying busy. You can do the same, you'll make friends with your crew and probably some of the passengers too also it's really easy to keep in touch using the internet, e-mail and msn etc. You'll get used to it, and don't be scared to talk to the older people on the crew, as I'll bet they'll have some excellent advice.
  22. Who said it was an insult, it's nice that people take the idea, but I feel it's been watered down too far, lost all its power and in part damaged a great piece of literature...
  23. Yeah, and if, not saying they are, these ti spokes are weak as hell since he's sponsored by them he can change his wheels regularly, just because a part is used by a pro doesn't mean it's good.
