  1. If I were you the things I'd look at first would be some new pads (I'd recommend some heatsinks like you said), grind the rim as they're awful the second a tiny bit of moisture hits a smooth rim, get a single speed kit and tensioner fitted and maybe change the bars if they're not already risers to a set as they tend to be a hell of a lot comfier than flat bars.
  2. I've never had a problem with mine, would love another on my mod but can't afford it!
  3. Pure personal preference pal! And my personal preference is front!
  4. Well if it is a Tryall then the axle and bearings are replaceable so I'd get it off and have a closer look!
  5. Sounds like bearings or axle may be dead. What BB you got??
  6. Need my phone to charge up so I can watch a film!

  7. Got mine in weeks ago, can't wait and will be interesting with the Elites ability to make sections harder!
  8. Nowt wrong with that boy, thought you were selling the Onza anyways??
  9. I'd put Jack Carthy on your list as a priority, definately one of the UK's top riders and only 14yrs old!
  10. I've just ditched my LGM's this morning and stuck some yellow material in the TNN backings and all of a sudden my back brake holds! Just need to glue them in properly and I shall be back out riding again, may try some cousts on the front as currently I'm running yellows on a smooth trialtech rim and in the dry there's no give in it whatsoever, you feather the front brake and it is on! Will have to grind the rim ready for the comps to start in a couple of weeks as well.
  11. Bit of light drizzle here, hopefully get it out the way and cleared up by dinner when I'll hopefully be getting up for a ride!
  12. Looks very nice mate, lets hope no tea leaves get their grubby paws on this one!
  13. Simple, My settings>forums>manage watched topics
  14. If you want to keep the same geo and feel of the Tensiles go for the Inspired bars as they come in white and are almost identical except 10mm wider.
  15. No worries just spotted it had gone before and for a minute thought I'd been a bad boy till I kept getting errors loading pages. Anything noticeable in the final change or all behind the scenes stuff?
  16. More big changes going on behind the scenes Tom?? Noticed my feedback has dissapeared!

    Paypal

I've had quite a few phishing emails through recently pretending to be paypal saying someone had paid £50 to skype and to log in to cancel the payment
  18. I currently use Tensile 9d risers on my stock and did use some 09 rage bars on my mod as they were the same 9° geo just a little wider so switching between the 2 bikes didn't feel too weird. Now I've switched for some trialtech sport risers on my mod and I hate the feel of them so I wanna swap back to the rage bars but also get some for my stock to replace the tensiles, the problem is Tartys have stopped stocking them and I'd rather get some brand new, for my stock at least as thats my main bike, so can anyone help me find somewhere that has them in stock?? EDIT: Doesn't matter now actually as after a quick flick through some other bars on Tartybikes I've spotted the Inspired risers are again the same 9° geo but inbetween with the width at 720mm (Tensiles are 710mm, Tryall 730mm) so they should be ideal. Just have to sell a pair of mine first!
  19. If you liked the feel of the Tensiles (I run the same) then get some 09 Tryall rage bars as they're the same geo just a tad wider. I used to run them on my mod so it didn't feel too weird swapping between the two different setups which it does now I've swapped to Trialtechs!
  20. Right just wondering as I wanna put some more faces to names on here is all! Especially as I wanna get out for a few decent group rides this summer.
  21. I've just switched to front maggie on my mod and I've stuck some of Ali C's joypad material up front (which I believe is the same as Phats?!) on a smooth rim. Rode home today in the rain and the performance actually increased, awesome pads!!!
  22. And the main reason the setup I recommended was £45 was the chain tensioner
  23. I went out yesterday and managed a few 3.5ft sidehops but whenever I tried even an inch or 2 bigger I kept pussying out of it. Also after watching a vid my wife filmed on her phone I noticed that most of the time when I sidehop I don't kick the pedals so I'm booning the whole bike up currently which isn't good for energy levels and also makes me land about 4-6" back on the wall from where I started. Think subconciously I'm associating kicking the pedals with hopping forwards not sidewards which is where I'm failing, also when I'm getting myself composed ready to jump I seem to do loads of really fast mini hops as opposed to one or 2 as I kind of build the courage to jump which also saps my energy, any tips gary seen as your currently working hard at it??
  24. Just priced it up on tartybikes and a trialtech spacer kit, sprocket, atomz tensioner and icetoolz lockring remover will cost you just over £45. And if you've got a 22t front chainring then go for 18t on the back!
  25. Stop right there and do not pay them £70 to do it whatever you do! You'll be able to buy all the tools and bits you need for less than that and do it yourself!!
