  1. I'd love to try but theres no more room in the shed and my wife would go sick if another frame turned up in the post!
  2. I only made the last round last year and had to rush off shortly after finishing so never really saw anything!
  3. I'd like to see some 24's competing in the British Cup this year, be interesting to see how they do compared to the 26 and 20's. I do of course mean the more trials orientated models rather than the streety type frames.
  4. Your best waiting till tomorrow and ringing to ask then. If it does and you ordered one it wouldn't be processed till tomorrow anyway so it's not gonna get sorted any faster.
  5. Where you looking at buying from?? EDIT: Actually just spotted your older thread. I'd say it is worth it as I personally prefer maguras to v's but saying that there's certain people on here that swear by a good set of well setup v brakes. If it was me though I'd not bother with the Onza and go for a MAD Phase 1.2 which you can pick up for about £250. The frame is much better for upgrading as it's the very same that the MAD team riders use as seen here http://www.trials-fo...nett-in-london/ whereas with the onza you'll be looking at swapping all the components AND the frame as you progress!

    New Frame

Seriously?? What about the Onza Skull! I think the new Echo's and the stock Zoo have had a lot of thought go into them and I wouldn't have thought there'd be any worry of one snapping. Stan at Tartybikes has cut the top tube out of his 2011 stock echo and replaced it with a length of carbon fibre, considering they sell the things I'd say thats putting a lot of faith into a product and would really give me some confidence in the strength of the things. However, each to their own. I guess personally I'm not a big fan of Onzas so that probably comes into it! If you want a new frame and are willing to spend £400 why not buy the full build speedrace fans up for sale on the forum as thats down for £420 I think and that is a bargain!
  7. What frame have you got? When I restarted I rebuilt my old heavy tools trials with new stuff which meant ultra wide trials specific rims which in turn were too wide to fit brakes onto with it being such an old frame setup. The same goes for running old skool narrow rims on newer frames built to take wide ones!

  8. If you haven't got the wheels or cranks yet I'd highly recommend making the move to front freewheel. Get a singlespeed fixed rear hub (Echo TR is great value and quality), some decent FFW cranks (Trialtech sport ones are about £50 for the pair from tartybikes), a good front freewheel (Echo SL, the only one worth getting as it will run forever), any 15t rear sprocket and any bashring tha...

  9. Just realised though, a 15t sprocket will only be good for an 18t up front which unless your using middleburns you won't get on a fixed set of cranks. For 22t up front you'll want an 18t rear!

  10. I think the sprocket will be for a shimano spline which should do just about any hub. Have you already got wheels and cranks that your planning on using?? I only restarted last year after giving up in 2001 so I know exactly where your coming from, really weird getting your head round everything and all the new brands and stuff!

  11. I've given up on the idea now, I'm so anal I was gonna try and find a front Echo SL and then try and track down a red SL lever blade so it would match the rear. That ain't gonna happen so I'm gonna sell it instead and just buy a pair of TR full brakes!
  12. Sounds steady then, I'm gutted, already had 2 brews this morning so I'm down to my last teabag. Whats the world coming to?!
  13. I'd take a wild guess at around 1.6-1.7kg but you'd probably be best emailing Onza direct for that one!
  14. Not necessarily, if you buy a M8 bolt and cut it down to use essentially as a 2nd bleed bolt you can stick with the original cylinders.
  15. They can be a pain in the arse to fit if your a bit rough as it's not hard to snap the ends off but if you can fit them ok they're great, especially for routing the hose through the frame. And it means there's no crossover to accidentally snap either!

    New Frame

With that budget I'd look toward a new 2011 Echo Lite and spend the extra cash on some new bits like a new headset.
  18. Back at work, get the kekkle on!

  19. Only rocknrollbikes who mainly do Onza stuff or trialparts.net who are pretty cheap but based abroad so you have to deal with them by email

  20. You'll need; Headset Stem Bars Grips Bottom bracket Cranks Pedals Bashring Brakes Brake clamps (if you run hydraulic rim brakes) Wheels (consisting of hubs, spokes, rims and rimtapes) Tyres Innertubes Front sprocket or freewheel Rear sprocket or cassette Chain tensioner (sprung, snailcams or chain tugs depending on the frame) Chain And I think thats about it. And prices can depend on whether you go front freewheel or run a freehub and 20", 24" or 26". Also I wouldn't just buy the cheapest things you can, it's worth spending a bit extra on certain parts like the front freewheel if you run one and ISIS bottom bracket and cranks!
  21. Just waiting to hear from TRIALPARTS.NET at the moment about postage prices on Zhi and Bionic forks as they're only £60 and should be a good match for my Bionic frame!
  22. Should do I reckon, I'm using LGM's on the back of my stock and HS yellows up front on a smooth rim. The heatsinks have always been awesome but thought I'd try the TNN's, they were pretty good on a fresh grind but now it's dulled a bit they're losing hold. I got some joypads off Stan Shaw so gonna give them a try next but if I have no luck I'll be back to the yellows front and rear!
  23. I'm on 8-7 tomorrow so there'll be a whole load of updates to this thread then! Might even take my bike to work an go for a ride about outside! Oh yeah, the winner is starbucks mug, tea with a sugar in!!
