That worries me slightly!! Not too fussed bout the price as my parents said they'll throw some cash in to pay for it but thanks for the link, may have a look on ebay when I'm ready to order one. Another thing, anyone know the best place to get him a helmet or am I looking at Halfrauds??

Yes matey old skool rider here although she's been rebuilt with a touch of the new. I stopped riding back in '99 and decided before christmas to get back into it although everything except my frame an forks basically were fooked so I rebuilt her with modern bits and I must admit it rides brilliant! My mates back riding with me on his ds1 as well! There's some pics of my bike in this thread

Thank god we're back online! Been on nights this week an had nothing to do whilst you've been down!!
-
I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the rain, besides, grinding your rims won't make your tyres grip on them slippy bars and slabs!
-
Never was a fan of Monty's or Megamo's even years ago when they were the only proper cycle trials bikes you could get!

Got final fantasy 7 for my psp as years ago I borrowed it off a mate and lost interest after a while, its worked out pretty good as playing it now I've got more patience on levelling things up and trying to complete it. On 3rd disc and got all mastered materia, everyone at level 99 and just beat emerald and ruby weapons. Did emerald without the underwater materia in under 7 minutes! I should really grow up!!

I've got one and it is brilliant for the cash, perfect to chuck in your pocket everytime you go riding!

Think I will do before we go to wales in the summer, tartys site says there a new Koxx coming out as the one on the site is being replaced so will hang for that I reckon, the Monty's got a front brake but I don't think he can quite get his head round that yet!
-
Aye if thats the case definately avoid! You'd be better saving up and getting something like this from tartys, specing up a new build for them or yourself to knock up or looking for something 2nd hand on here in my opinion.

I was just having a buzz round Tartys site and noticed the kids bikes section. Quite intrigued by the Koxx Nanoboxx and Monty 202 Pb as my missus says they're very good for kids to learn to balance and I'd never seen such a bike. Considering gettin one now for my 2 year old as he loves watching me on my bike and always trying to imitate me on his ride on Thomas by riding down the kerb and jumping up and down on it!! Anyone got or had one an can you recommend getting one??

Hello - Lionel Richie, classic!

Just out of interest what is a Kobe Tribal?? Searched on the net and can't find anything!

I used to get this problem quite a bit, definately somewhere in the setup of your brake. Must be a bit of air in there somewhere or maybe not touching the rim very well/squarely. Don't want you to waste money on a disc when a bit of fiddling should fix you up. Besides, I've found more riders prefer a rim brake on the back than a disc as they tend to be better at biting!

How much money you wanna spend an what kind of riding you looking at doing? Buying a front sus bike means the first thing you'll be doing is spending more money to get some new forks on it!
-
Trust me to read this now I've already paid for a set of Viz forks off someone!! Mind you, I deffo won't be doin anything big enough to snap a pair of forks!!

High Point Of Your Trials Life.....
isitafox replied to old boy chez's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
As sad as it sounds currently its nailing half pedalling onto the street sign down the road earlier on tonight as its not summat I'd normally attempt. Usually shit it trying summat like that but recently been thinking sod it and having a go, not that big but a pretty good accomplishment for myself! -
Are the SL's no good?? I'm after some cheap forks for my Zenith and there's some sl's in for sale section but if they're not to be trusted I may give them a miss!

Can either get just a 22t sprocket to fit on your cranks and ask if anyone on here knows what would be a good combo on the rear or if you plan on gettin a proper trials rig setup I'd get new cranks, front sprocket and bashring sorted. From my personal experience I'd recommend TartyBikes for that stuff, really quick with deliveries and stuff and if your not sure what you need they're very helpful on the phone an can give you some good advice!

Been busy at work tonight I can tell you, been stripping the paint off my new project. She's a bit beaten up but that doesn't bother me, should hopefully clean up very nicely by the time I've finished! And a pic of the stem I got from Ben Travis, bit of a rub down and respray and its (almost) as good as new!! Love workin nights as got loads of time to do jobs like this, if I could build wheels I could make a small fortune doin foreigners at work!!
-
Definately too big on the front mate, I run an 18t front and 15t on the rear from advice I got on here and I find it absolutely perfect. This is coming from a 22t front and 7 speed rear cassette so was quite different but I can't recommend it highly enough!
-
He he, got some big hacksaw cuts in it where I'm assuming Ben had to cut his top cap off so never gonna look perfect but hoping it'll look nice ish for at least 1 day before I fall off! Oh yes, been at work since 6.40pm, only another 7 hours 20 minutes to go, and if I'm not careful I might have something to do at round about 4am ish!!
-
Can you tell I'm bored??!!
-
Just a quickie for everyone, lacquering my stem at work tonight and not sure how many coats to do. Already given it 2 so will that be enough or should I go for 1 more for good measure??
-
They've got immense pain written all over them, definately a no no with shorts an no shinpads!!
