  1. I'd say he needs to keep his hose tight to be honest, braking shouldn't be enough to loosen a hose I really wrench my brakes sometimes and never had a single problem like that
  2. would probably work well, weed it down to the one person who can do the tightest course quickest, competition is always good bunnyhop might work, or might just be a flop to a total beginner it's a hard movement to grapple, might just end up with a load of schoolkids with bleeding shins ....which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
  3. he broke his hose by pulling the lever too hard? Christ. he must have a serious deathgrip or shit hoses
  4. slow races work and are a laugh, they're not allowed to stop totally or put a foot down, so it's all about crawling as slow as possible without losing balance
  5. teach them to trackstand, leave them there for 45 minutes
  6. Never used a splitter myself, just saying what i've heard on here really. Crossovers have always served me well so never needed to change. But then again, I've rode a monty for years where your feet never get anywhere near your cylinders, now i'm on a pythong times might change
  7. got a brake booster? that might help protect it a bit if you don't already have one. failing that, just try to be more aware I guess, or have a look at getting a hose splitter, I've heard they break less easy
  8. eventful, to say the least The flights got screwed up by ryanair so we ended up flying at 10pm instead of 9am on the day we flew out, thus missing the gig we wanted to see. So sitting in the departure lounge we cancelled the saturday night dublin hostel and booked one in belfast, plus booked some train tickets up to belfast. Got to dublin friday night, had an explore round the city and a few beers til about half 1, went to the hostel and slept til 7, then got up and got on a train to belfast. Got in belfast, booked into the hostel and then went exploring, started drinking at 1pm in a student union whilst watching the rugby which was awesome , won an ireland rugby shirt too. Went and chilled with the band while their roadies set up and drank more, all good so far. Then my mates drink got spiked, he went off to hospital because he was a mess, I went out to see him and got back to the gig and security wouldn't let me back in. So I went back to the hostel and got my sleep on. Then next day we got a train back to dublin, won a bet on rooney to score first in the united game, had a few beers and went back home. So none of us actually saw the gig we went all the way to Ireland to see but it was still awesome. Didn't get to do the guiness brewery as we all ran out of money way quicker than expected It was all a bit of a f**kup really, but still an awesome weekend
  9. Everybody seems to love the inspired and the echo urban, check them out
  10. yeeeeehuh that was awesome, editing was clever and not overdone too, I approve muchly
  11. was gonna say the other night you should throw something together awesome!
  12. what freewheel you running? if it's one of them ones with the claw type protusions on the back which the freewheel tool slots into, getting a shorter BB and a freewheel which has the tool grooves recessed into the body should give you some extra space too
  13. Had a proper look at the specs now i've finished work, definitely gonna give the tarty risers a go, £16 cheaper than the TR bars and only 70g heavier, I don't even care about weight that much to cry over 70g If I wanna be 70g lighter on my bike I'll just take a dump before I go out
  14. bike looks awesome! very nice indeed
  15. I'm terrible too! But I ride for the challenge, the fun, and to try to get better tell us more, how tall are you and what bike do you ride? I rode a short monty and i'm 6ft, As soon as I switched to a longer zoo python things felt way easier and I'm starting to push myself again
  16. I tried it for about an hour when I rebuilt my bike a few weeks ago, was fun but felt weird. If you ride it enough it will be a lot of fun
  17. Probably should have read about them really, I just looked at the photos and they looked mellower than the TR, but now I see it, will bear them in mind too
  18. Welcome to the forum! Got any videos or stuff to post? Posting something awesome might get you validated quicker and then you can explore the rest of the place
  19. Sweet, I haven't seen anybody else using them yet either so guess I might be a guinea pig! They're definitely gonna feel better than flats whatever the outcome, So tired of them things.
  20. Looking at switching from flat bars to risers on my 05 pythong, A few people have said bars with a big rise would feel great on it and since I've never used risers on it before, I'm willing to trust them. Was looking on tartybikes and came across the echo TR riser, any good? They're the cheapest bar with a huge rise on there. My bike's covered in echo bits and I've never had any problems so figured if these are good, I may aswell go for them thoughts?

  22. I drove down to chester yesterday morning and it was foggy as f**k for miles and miles, same thing? I thought it was a bit odd that it was so foggy for such a huge area, at a low altitude
  23. Practice a lot and keep pushing yourself. I hit a wall, and then seemed to magically gain a bit more distance when I really applied myself to it
