  1. *Cough* Bristol *Cough* As for me, yet another lonesome valentines day awaits. I am seeing a friend, but it's pretty clear nothings ever's gonna happen between us, despite me having feelings for her for pretty much the last few months solid..... MEH!
  2. I run the Shimano Hollowtech external BB system for trials, and I don't think I will ever go back to ISIS or square taper, it's quite simply great! James
  3. Cheer guys! Really wish I hadn't rawed it now, s red was such a nice colour on the bike Hey ho, life goes on! James
  4. Haha cheers, I guess everyone likes different things! Unfortunately the red got battered into a mix of red, blue, purple, silver and pink undercoat, so she is now RAWR!! haha James

    Tgstreet!

Here's a new video for you guys! http://vimeo.com/36023253 Going to aiming more compy/TGS this summer, so take in the street while it's there! haha Enjoy! James
  6. Cheers for the replies guys! Think I've sorted myself a Maxxis high Roller, so all's good! Thanks James
  7. Right all, Desperately need a new rear tyre for my 24, and wanting knobbly for some natty and comp stuff this summer. Have been searching online for the past few hours and cant find anything suitable. What do you suggest? The bigger the better, but single wall would be nice as I have a freaking mahoosive tube in there! Would also like something sticky. Although I know they were made in 24", I can't find the Kenda Nevegals or the Kinematics for sale anywhere. If you have something suitable lurking in your garage, i may well be interested! Cheers James
  8. Hey guys, latest creation from MotionKapture Media Productions here! http://vimeo.com/35453548 A short video produced in 4 hours over 2 sessions, showing two very much unknown sports in an even stranger setting! Filmed on a Pentak Kr with Pentax 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 DAL, Sigma 28-135 f3.8-4.6 and Pentax SMC 50mm f2 Freerunner - Ben Williams Trials Rider - James Woodbridge Edited by - James Woodbridge Music - Portishead : Strangers Thanks to The Ridings ederation Winterbourne International Academy for alowing us to film on school grounds Further thanks to Heatsink Bikes, who's amazing yellow compound has allowed my to push my riding further and further without fear of injury! Cheers James@MotionKapture
  9. It's MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
  10. What tyre is that on the front? James
  11. Already put this up dude haha James
  12. Reet guys! 'Ow be on? *Switches back to English from Bristolian setting on the side of his head* Big ride in Bristol this coming Saturday. Meeting at Castle park between 11 and 12. Be good to get a big one going to welcome in another year of riding, so who's up for it? Be there or be sqaure! James
  13. Just measured a set of trialtechs with bash and freewheel on against my Truvativs, and with a 128mm BB the freewheel cog would be at least 8 or 10mm further in than with a front bolt on chainring. James
  14. Also bear in mind with the hollowtech system or similar, the cog is placed further way from the BB than a freewheel would....
  15. I would say the market for the Pro2 trials hubs is growing with the advent of streetier bikes like the inspireds, which people would choose to run... ooh I don't know... a crank similar to the Hope prototype above?
  16. Have you tried this? I happen to know for definite you could fit a 24t chainring on truvativ cranks onto the Neon Bow, Onza Bird And Diamondback frames, all trials frames....
  17. Can you fit a 2.7 tyre in an Echo Pure? Can you definitively say Shimano cranks will not clear the frame? James
  18. Well in theory the could have exactly the same, as the Fourplay's chain-stays are near enough parallel....
  19. Same chainstay length as what, the fourplay? James
  20. Well in fairness I can fit a 2.7" Maxxis High Roller into my frame with space to spare! Geometry has nothing to do with the yoke! I never said anything was better, I purely said I can do proper trials just as easily if not better on a frame that has the same geometry as a street frame, which you said arn't useable at all for doing trials on! Also, don't call me a kid. Judging from the way I am not being overly aggressive to people having a discussion, I am acting more maturely than you in this instance. Did I say you said anything negative about street trials riding? I think not I rest my case...
  21. The clearance does not equate to the geo... it totally depends on the tubing used, the shape of the tubing and the size of the bb yoke. I think you being rather aggressive in putting your point across that this forum is only for trials riders, and no trials riders would ever use this cranks was totally inappropriate. You were obviously wrong, as I and most people would class me as a trials rider, as I would Danny Macaskill, Ben Rowlands, Ali C, Nick Cooke, Matt Purdon or JD. Trials is a small sport, and it is still broadening it's range. Street trials is still part of that, and I do not see why you TGS and comp riders are so up yourself in wanting to prove that point. You guys are no way a "purer" form of trials, and we all just need to accept that and move on. Anyway, this is all rather pointless as you have been consistently been, as a chav would say, "PWND" throughout the last 4 or 5 pages of this thread, so please don't argue and just accept sports change and develop, and in this case for the better! James Thank you and goodnight, I'm here 'til tuesday!
  22. I should like to inform you it is a 2007 Onza Zoot, which has the same geometry as the 09 Fourplay! Not outdated at all! James
  23. PPPS. I am about to buy myself a Hope external BB to go with my Shimanos...
  24. Right Mr Gostrider88, what is my bike classed as? It's a seatless trials frame, with rear magura, front vee and grinds. However it is a 24", has undrilled DJ rims and a rear Hope hub. I am running Truvitiv Husselfelt cranks in this picture, but am now running the Shimano Hollowtech system, with a 22 tooth on the front and 18 on the back. I run low rise GU trials bars with lots of stem stackers. This is the crunch, I spin, footjam whip and bunny hop this bike effortlessly. can also sidehop, gap to front and rear, and pedal up this bike better than I can any other. I can also do most of those things bigger than my mate who has been riding 15 years and rides a long high BB Czar stock with ull superlight comp spec, whereas I have only been riding 17 months now. Where do I lie, please enlighten me! With thanks James PS. I am in the middle of machining up some stunt pegs for this, to learn hang fives, grinds and give some flatland stuff a go on it. PPS. I am going to be entering the British National comp series this year on the bike.
