I've been running 1x disc side, radial non disc side on the front, and 2x both sides on the rear on my DH and 4x bikes for about a year now, with no problems whatsoever... Never even trued them either... Have also run fully radial wheels for trials with disc brake front and magura rear.. The strength of a wheel is mainly in a wheel build, so bear that in mind.

You can use any rotor with the same diameter, it really doesn't matter! My vote goes with the Shimano RT76....

Another vote for martial arts here! I have recently looking at joining a very well known Bristol Judo Dojo. I trained in another martial art up until about a year ago, which I had to quit due to medical problems. With the black belt I had in that, I feel like starting afresh at something a bit different will be good for me! Climbing is pretty awesome too!

60mm stems tackers here, with a 90x35* stem and Span Spoon bars at 40mm rise! Although the new Hope stem will drop the total thing by about 10mm.... Gutted!

Cheers Ross! The gap was way too big for me to do, although found some stuff a tad smaller for me to try this summer, so who knows? As for Inspired bars... well 2 sets in 12 months says I'm not too fussed about going back to them unless they were radically different. Plus they just don't make them wide enough! I ride 26 for XC, DH, 4X and everything in between, and still as fast as anyone I have met on a 29er... I think you are just being a slave to the companies that market such bikes. Theres a reason 29ers have taken about 11 years to get to the point where they have become a staple part of a manufacturers range. Granted very tall people find them comfier, but unless you're over 6ft 2ish you don't NEED to ride one because they are better!

Shimano rt-76 hands down! Especially on the bash-prone rear of the bike!

Just like to point out the Hope headset you pictured will not fit. Fit the Chris King.

Hmm, you make a very good point! Not always pre-f**ked.. my pretty much brand new Inspired is already starting to piss me off! It's more about the luck I have when riding that causes breakages!
