  1. But it would be a one of the kind sexy mo-fo! Plus, being steel it would last a long time, and take a lot of abuse. Knowing my history, an investment into a frame that is going take my riding is a worthwhile one! See what happens, but definitely want one! If not, may have to go to Marino. Would be great to have a Uk made frame, that I can help make my own, and input throughout the build process! Hey ho! I can wish! haha
  2. Fancy making up another one? Would definitely love to have one of these in my life! Get in contact if you do, am without doubt in for this! Got a few nifty ideas I would love to see on a bike too, so if you feel a bit a bit experimental, let me know! James
  3. Haha! Hopes, because they are IS mount, require the use of shims to get set up squarely. Saints use pot mount system, so its a case of pulling the lever and tightening the bolts to get it set up perfectly. I also found Hopes loose any form of reliability when they get a tad old. Having owned four different Hopes now, I will never go back. Also having serviced them in work, it just isn't worth it. For the same price as a Hope, you can get a Saint which you can fit, and not even look at for years on end!
  4. Hopes are a fanny to fix if they go wrong... got for Shimano Saint or XT, old style lever. never look back again!
  5. I agree with Luke and JT on this one. The child should never have been left unattended. If not for the fear of kiddy snatchers, then for simple things like April getting hurt, having an argument or any other mischief she may get in to! This is before you start to consider the fact she has cerebral palsey, and so needs extra care in day to day life. I am all for children having freedom in their life. It is one of the greatest things a parent can give to a child. But age 5, a child doesn't have the mental understanding of the world around them to have that freedom alone. My sister is 9. We live in a very rural area, in a small village. She isn't allowed out of the driveway when playing outside, and must be accompanied with either myself, my brother or one of our parents. Only recently has she started riding her scooter to school, although that is with my mother following her in the car behind to check she is ok. My family has always said secondary school is when you can start doing things independently, and it is the same for many people that I know. 11 is the right age to be able to ride to school on your own, and deal with your own problems. You can build it up gradually until then, but at least your first day at secondary is your first day of real freedom. It makes it special. Back to April Jones... yes the abductor is at fault. he shouldn't have ever taken her. But her parents are at least 30% to blame. They should have kept an eye on the children, or one fo the other parents of the other children she was with should have. Things have changed since my parents were young, and you have to adapt to modern ways. The danger is there and it is real. I should add, there have been two attempted abductions at out local primary school, the one that my sister goes to, over the last three years. The gentleman was arrested and he has since moved away, but it brings it home the threat was there. One of the girls he attempted to take was one of my sisters close friends, who was waiting for her mother after school. She was sensible enough to run away and go back into the school. That is all from me now, but definitely think the parents arn't completely free of the blame.
  6. 5.10 Danny Macs. The Spitfires never were much good for riding in, I went through 4 pairs in as many months!
  7. Yes it works fine. I find it actually gives a nicer feel than Shimano fluid for some reason.... Hence why we have several 5L bottles of the stuff at work!
  8. Get a second hand Shimano XT M775.... never used a nicer brake!
  9. As above,a lthough it isn't the top cap you need to loosen off. It really is only the stem clamp bolts. Is it really that hard to carry a small multi-tool and nip them off a bit to turn it?
  10. Impressive collection! I currently have 5 unique bikes, and will be buying a BMX at some point soon!
  11. Yes. You need to use "Fiber Grip" or something along those lines. It basically is a grease which increases friction on the bar. It means a lower torque can be used to clamp the bar down, reducing the chances of crushing the bar and yet still giving good hold on the bar. I certainly wouldn't use a bar without it as it is either going to slip or crush otherwise!
  12. I've seen brakes that haven't even stood being sat in our storeroom at work for a day... but yes. Give it a go and if not ride a bit more flowy?
  13. I was looking at it more from my mecanic's point of view... it won't stay good for long! Willing to be proved wrong though...
  14. Cheers for the props guys! The skill in editing is simply patience, honest! James
  15. I love the reception this has got! Has really got me eager to get going on another video!
  16. The Formula brakes are alright, but I really wouldn't run the for trials. They have very little modulation when set up properly, and go to shite if they are the slightest bit off. They never stay set up either, have problems with leaking under heavy pressure on the lever, and are the most horrendous brake to bleed period. Ride brakeless until you get your saints dude! They're a better brake, and it will help loads with your skill!
  17. To be fair, Euan had a heavy hand in the editing of his video. When I was at the computer, he was sat right next to me pointing things out, questioning things and giving ideas. Same goes for the shooting. I actually approached Euan and suggested it as well, he did not come to me asking. I guess it all comes down to who you're mates with, and whether or not they are willing to give you a hand! James
  18. Cheers guys! Glad everyone likes it!
  19. Here it is. Several Months in the planning, 4 days, 38 hours riding, 23GB of footage, 8 hours editing, 8 camera batteries, 4 different Lenses, 3 cameras... All for a 5 minute (214mb) video! Definitely worth it! Fresh from MotionKapture Media Productions come's Euan Beaden's newest video. Riding his new Inspired Bicycles Fourplay, Euan really has pushed his riding to a whole new level! I just had to take this opportunity to spend a week filming and riding with him! Hope you all enjoy! https://vimeo.com/47711226 And here's his GETCreative information: Hope you all enjoy! 20. It's got to be the illuminati, who else would make the logo look like Lisa Simpson giving head to Bart?
