  1. Shimano XT disc rotor, with Superstar organic pads. The best pad/disc combionation out there period.
  2. Had a guy come into the shop today with a pristine Iron horse Warrior 6.0 today, asking for a service. It was bloody lurvely!
  3. Who was that on Euan's bike at the beginning? He doesn't own any 5.10s! Nice video though!
  4. Looks pretty short! And is it me or do those forks look bent? Look similar to my mates and they were bent as feck!
  5. Should also add, all four of mine had the corners cut off....
  6. Yeh, I've killed four.... Should've gotten an older one!
  7. But for me I genuinely do ride for fun. Being out with mates, doing something fun, chilling and having a ruddy good time doing it is what it's all about! Which is also the main reason I love riding with the 24 guys, as it seems to generally be a much more chilled atmosphere with them (some compy riders included, but not many!) James
  8. Suddenly my weekend has become free of all non bike related activities if you guys are here riding? James
  9. The word trivia in latin means "The place where three ways meet" The band trivium took their name because they were bought together from thre very different places by one person, and thus the band was formed... James
  10. It's a big chunky 12mm threaded axle. Will get some footage filmed on Sunday! James
  11. I thought I should post this up here, and see what people think. Installed it just now and not ridden it yet, but looks to be great fun! James
  12. Riding was huge, but I really hated the video. Just didn't do anything for me at all I'm afraid! A bail before every other line just really wasn't needed, and the song really didn't fit. Love those up to fronts though! James
  13. 8 POSTS! Listen to this dude, he's obviously a forum veteran, and is above us all! Like said above, everyone progresses at their own level. For me it took 3 months to learn to hop on the back wheel, and yet now after only 18 months I seem to be pushing my riding to a level I never dreamed of. Just ignore everybody else and practice when you want. I still struggle to see why people feel the need to compare themselves in such a small sport, when in reality we should be supporting and pushing eachother. James
  14. Yes. Realising how much energy can affect a confrontation can really swing things in your favour. I can easily throw an oponent accross a room by simply flowing back out away from his punch and back in, similar to a wave.
  15. Mainly it revolves around the philosophy of "avoid the threat, then incapacitate it". In other words, if someone throws a punch you get yourself out of the way first and foremost, then think about armlocks/dislocations/breaks/throws/knockouts or along those lines.... Some of the stuff we learnt was actually pretty lethal! But it was mainly about removing a threat with as little violence as possible. This makes pretty good reading: http://muteshindo.com/blog/what-is-mu-te-shin-do/ James
  16. That's cool man. I admit I blew a fuse back when that happened, but overall martial arts (dare I go back on topic! haha ) has helped me calm down a lot, compared to my old self. On anothe rnote confidence wise it's helped me to no end! Beofore I wouldn't even work with someone vaguely new in school! haha James
  17. I see what you mean. I was referring to physical anger, although emotional anger is something I have never been able to control 100%. That outburst was an unusual one for me, but the guy who caused that had just taken it too far. I normally try and contain it, but every so often I let stuff out in one go, and I don't control the amount I release. No excuse really, but there we go. The sort of person who you trust with everything, and then he uses that against you in an extrenmely harsh way, picking up on personal, family, relationship and academic problems you have to try and make you feel as small, worthless and sh*t as possible really wind me up. Again, my own fault for ever thinking I could trust anybody with anything personal! James
  18. I did Mu Te Shin Do ( see here: http://muteshindo.com/blog/ ) for five years, throughout my senior school years. In it I attained a first dan black belt, instructors qualification and most importantly self confidence. I was bullied all the way through school, and it helped me to control, ignore and finally stop it. Although I had to quit in September due to starting Sixth Form and having much more coursework and exam prep to do, I still follow the philosophies and lessons I learnt and eventually tought there. I also know I can control my anger, and defend myself calmy and properly now. Would love to get back into it later on in life, albeit this or another martial art. James
  19. Anyone know who this is? i literally live 3 minutes from there, and need to find someone local to ride with!
  20. Here we go guys, second installment from lcoal 54Sport rider Andrew McCabe and MotionKapture media Productions. Enjoy! James@MotionKapture
  21. Hmm, not sure who posted that up then.... Seeing as I created the video itself surely I can be forgiven?
  22. Here'w the latest edit form MotionKapture, although a little late as I forgot to post it up here! Enjoy! James PS. Look out for a new video of local Bristol rider Andrew McCabe from us in the next few days!
  23. The quickest way I have found is using a wire brush attachment on a high speed drill. Can strip a frame and fork in about half an hour. Gives a sweet brushed effect look too! If you finish it by rubbing it all over with wire wool you can get the frame looking beautiful! James
