  1. Nice looking bike but it just dissapoints me, thers no real style to it. I love plain bikes, I love bikes with some funky tubing... This just seems, meh.
  2. Sorry for the bump but I've just gotta remind everyone how sexy this bike is.
  3. Yuri is a genetic freak though and to be honest, gymnast body weight exercises are painful, have you ever tried to muscle up on rings? Unrelated - Which part of Berks are you from?
  4. No bench, only got dumbbells and you wonder why you're a hard gainer. I have a cheap York DB9 bench, 2x dumbbells and 1x barbell aswell as up to 95kg of weights all for the cost of 2-3months Gym membership. You can't expect to build any significant muscle with bodyweight exercises. If you still refuse to either get a gym membership or proper equipment then look at Convict Conditioning. It's a book, download it from some Warez/Torrent and have a gander.
  5. You can't have a stomach and be a hardgainer As mentioned before, only do cardio when you need to, otherwise eat a lot and lift heavy amounts for low reps.
  6. Paha I don't know much about either ;D Although I've gained 12kg of reletivly lean mass in about 6months.
  7. I agree with stamina but he recommended pushups which as the name implies a pushing exercise, most of the moves in trials require pull. Mass = strength to some degree. Lad knows his stuff. Except for the fatty foods comment. The absolute best things for you to be eating are meat and fish, stuff like chicken, beef, tuna is amazing. Man evolved along the principles of "Low car, high fats, high protein". With lower carb intake the fats become the main energy source, you'll feel more alert and awake after the initial switch over to low carb.
  8. Bodyweight exercises really don't do much.
  9. Ride a lot but keep other cardio to a minimum.
  10. Don't do cardio AND lift, you'll waste the energy needed to build mass. Eat a bit more, lift a lot more, do High intensity training and a lot of cardio a month or two before comp season. As for exercises, I'd do Deadlifts, squats and benchpress until you have some decent strength, these three compound exercises work pretty much every muscle if done with correct form. After doing the compounds for 2-3months start adding some other exercises, isolations, for instance add bent over rows in, these will help build your lats and traps aswell as your forearms.
  11. Chains don't "stretch" much at all, what actually happens is the rollers wear down which increases the gap between links making it appear longer when on a bike.
  12. I'm always up for Reading. I work Everday except Fridays and Sundays 10-3pm in Bracknell (Which is nearby). If I get a train after work I'd arrive just before 4pm
  13. Theres a video on here somewhere of a snapped DOB Magnesium frame going into a bonfire and going WHOOSH.
  14. Some pads have a little play in them, it'll never go away but eventually it'll become less noticable.
  15. Probably a bit last minute but hopefully people can make it! If you need info text me on 07738941993.
  16. This may work for a conventional bike but for trials it'll be gash. In trials your wheel moves backwards and forwards instead of just forwards. This mean the brake will underperform if the wheel ever rolls back. Plus it'll make the lever feel squishier.
  17. The first thing a beginner would want to do is change the brakes and rear hub. Specialised hub with about 6engagement points and really poor quality cable discs.
  18. Talktalk. I get consistant download speeds of between 700kb/s - 1.1mb/s Upload speeds vary between 50kb/s and 300kb/s (I have a crappy router though) I never see a drop in speed, this is with my laptop + pc + phone constantly using the internet as well as sisters + dads lappy's and phones using it occasionally. I cba to google for the document but they've said before that they don't want to do a ISP block of pirating sites as it defeats the "free web" and our rights as users. Mine is about £15 a month including a landline Playing games I generally get between 3ms - 300ms but that is all dependant on the server load. Hopefully I helped
  19. Windsor isnt too far from where I live 20" wheels dual disc is a given. Spend £500 on a god-tier secondhand bike and keep the rest for any potential upgrades.
  20. cheers for that, I'll give it a go.
  21. I've got a comp frame and rear Monty edition Hope. You need to set the non-moving pad as close to the disc as possible without rubbing, or if you cba to get it perfect then have it rubbing a tiny amount. Then set cable tension. Problem with a hope is that I cant set each pad distance.
  22. Bump, added a snailcam AND an extra spacer to the disc side and its still off. Going to get my frame faced and then post back. Thinking of getting rid of my dual hopes and going dual bb7, anyone rode with a rear bb7? Not too flexy or anything?
