  1. I thought that because of the tensioner built in you didn't need cams at all, although if what I'm getting from your post is correct It'll mean that I'll need snailcams so my axle bolts don't bottom out?
  2. I think it's a combination of both to be honest. Am I right in assuming I don't run snailcams?
  3. Thanks guys, I guess when I get them I'll put them to one side. New problem though, my Echo TR rear hub just doesn't want to go into the dropouts :/

    New Onzas!

If only it was green instead of orange you could get a free Pokemon with every bike
  5. Edited as I have a new question! Anyone else had an issue with the Echo TR rear disc hub? Mine just doesn't want to go into the drop outs :/ Heya guys, Just bought a Comp2010 frame off of someone on the forums and I've encountered a problem. The person I bought it from forgot to put the little silver "moon's" for the tensioner in the box(he's going to post those off tomorrow though) and I was wondering how badly they're actually needed? I don't want to ride it if it's going to damage the frame in some way but if I can do without I will do. TL:DR Do I need the little silver "moon's"
  6. Didn't take much effort then...
  7. Anyone within an hours train of Reading got a spot for me + a bike?
  8. Crank in a vice and bolted on, I'll try find a massive pole... and see if he has some scaffolding
  9. Just checked now, It'll take me about 2hours with only one change. Winning.
  10. Should've just pm'd me. With the adapter it takes a 160mm rotor, the adapter itself has been faced (as my frame couldn't have material removed) so It'll make things easier to set up.
  11. Last time I got a train to portsmouth it was 2 changes and a 3hour journey. I'll have a look on National Rail now.
  12. Just text my manager to ask for Saturday off. Do you go near RG45 6LF on your route to wales or would it be best for me to get to Reading station and meet Martin?
  13. I'm 2 stops from Reading Via train, what days are you going? I need to get Saturday off work + somehow get my buggered freewheel off my cranks first.
  14. Alright guys I'll try find an even bigger extension bar. Shame theres no way to use my 6ft barbell
  15. No idea where I'm going to get a 4ft pole wide enough but thanks anyway. 2ft extension with some hench bloke trying to shock the freewheel off is going to be better than a mallet. Tensile96. The internals completely destroyed themselves and the lockring is stuck on as well.
  16. Heya guys, freewheel s'ploded on Sunday, got my Echo SL today and after soaking the stuck freewheel over night in GT (Trying to permeate the threads) and having a 2ft extender bar + vice combo it refuses to budge. Just spent the last of my money on the freewheel and a new(ish) frame so I can't afford a new crank and I especially don't want a pair of good condition trialtech cranks + bashring go to waste. Any help?
  17. This should be an Onza comp by the weekend with a brand new Echo SL freewheel (My Tensile96 went from being the loudest, most responsive freewheel I've ever owned to having 0 engagements.)
  18. Anyone in berkshire able to take me up in exchange for petrol money and booze?
  19. The ultimates develop play over time wheras the sd7's seem to be alright. The shimano deore vee arms are quite good too. Make sure you get a decent cable such as a linear. Best thing about vee's is that except for the pads you can find spares in all bike shops.
  20. My ride has to work this weekend so I'm not able to attend :/ Maybe next year though.
  21. And thats why your frame cracked
  22. Over tighten the spokes with too much tension, you might ruin a few nipples though so I'd suggest using brass. Once you done this and true'd it, ride it for a while and then delace and rebuild it with correct tensions.
  23. You can although it's best to use Dot5.1 as its a thinner fluid and gives better lever feel.
  24. Out dated spec, doesn't even list a full spec etc. Yes its "rare" and yes it looks to be in good condition but you have to take into account this is quite an old spec. You're better off posting in the wanted section here for £250.
