I cracked my phone doing a dropgap, smacked it with the bars :/ wasn't even big. Had it facing inwards as well. Now I have my phone in my pocket going spot to spot, so people can text me or call me and i'll feel it, or if i'm waiting for someone to ring me who's coming to ride. But once I'm riding it's gotta be in my bag, can't stand stuff being in my pocket while riding.

I don't believe that, they always over exaggerate stuff like this. I doubt they can predict weather by months. I wouldn't say it's the media coverage, it's just everytime i'm free for a ride with my friends we can't go as it's raining. So it's just back to watching trials videos indoors.
