Yes, the dropouts on the frame are funny shape, so compared to other frames the disk has to be alot further inwards. You can use the monty hub on onza frames aswell
As for putting your hub in an echo frame, i dont know
Bmx sprockets arnt great to be honest. My mate used one temporarily and because it had less threads than a trials one, it stripped all the threads on the hub.
Id just fix it properly first time around and get a trials one
Shame to say, i doubt you'll get it warranted because the damage is caused by a bad set-up.
However some companies are pretty good with 'good will gestures'.
But like other people have said, changing to a smaller chain and improving the chain line should prevent this from happening.
Ive heard alot of good and bad reps about the king hubs.
It seams like people either get a stonker of a hub, or a dog of one.
Id personally stay with FFW, especially if you have an SL.
I'm not that bothered about getting it warranted, I've had it 9 months and its been flawless.
I'll probably just get a pawl off a mate and re-build it.
More curious if anyone else has done anything similar, I've had a mate crack the centre assembly twice.
So i was out riding normally one day to a riding spot and my freewheel locked up and chucked me off.
Ive stripped the freewheel down, and i've managed to snap one of the pawls in half.
This happen to anyone else?
And for the Tartyboys, would my freewheel still be under warranty? i brought it off you 04/12/2010
Cheers
Edit : Corrected Ali
Admittedly my echo locked up on me recently (and now has horrible grinding noises) and i havnt had the chance to look at it, but ive never had any other issues with it. ive had it for like a year, slapped it on, and its been perfect.
Yes, 110mm hubs will fit 116 mm frames. 110hub + 2 x 3mm snail cams. u can use snail cams as spacers (even if you have other method of chain tensioning) or i brought some pimp spacers off ebay
What he's referring to is the lockring, rather than the whole freewheel itself. Ive experienced this with a tensile freewheel twice, but if you use locktight on the threads, it's fine.
Yeh, i think originally the TR was the 72 click version and the SL was the 108, then they brought out the Titanium version, so they discontinued the 72, and now the 108 steel is the TR and the 108 Titanium is the SL
On the power supply, the 20/24 pin motherboardconnector, its the 13th cable ( green) thats the sensory wire. you connect that to any of the earth cables, and the power supply will switch on without the need for a motherboard
