make a macro (recorded action) on photoshop to increase the canvas size (relative) by like 20 pixels height and width with black as the background colour. then all you need to do is play the action and it'll do it all for you. just go edit > canvas size. check the "relative" box. and put in values of 20 and 20 with the background set to black
