  1. Yes it does matter to some people, even if it doesnt to you. I personally prefer being able to hear exactly when my brake is locking up. It really inspires confidience in my riding, meaning tthat i ride better. So in answer to your question yes it does matter.
  2. A grind wouldnt have been any worse, infact it would be less likely to rip the pad off. The tar on the other hand effectivly sticks the pad to the rim therefore the sliding action peels the pad. However the gring only acts on the idea of a greater friction force, without the pad physically sticking, therefore it wouldnt pull it off the backing.

    T-rex

not nessisary, just cut down the ones you have, it is a very common thing to have to do, dont be afraid, afterall its just a bolt and aslong u put it in carefully there wont be a problem
  4. Hello my duck, are you available to do the labon piece in morecambe festival on mon 2nd of may 5pm ish? love mrs d x From my school teacher
  5. i think they dont expand wide enough for some steerers, mine wouldnt work in my koxx forks which is a bit annoying. just use a star nut (Y)

    Koxx Days Dvd

Too right ben, i havent seen the DVD myself so i would love to, Who can i buy it off? And what price?
  7. Also if u are using a hope head doctor or something similar, or even a star fangled nut, make sure it is gripping the inside of the steered properly. I ran a head doctor for about a day, but got rid of it cause it didnt grip the inside of the steerer, therefore when i tightened it, it didnt pull everything together, it just slid upwards.
  8. Did u loosen the stem clap bolts that clamp the stem onto the steerer?
  9. Would that be an mbuk 50 feet (more like 10 feet but thats mbuk for you)? i know what you guys mean, he really doesnt have any respect from me... :P
  10. Down loading will edit when done  Done: Some amazing riding in there, great to see some more of the "unseen" footage including the speed trials, that looks f*cking hard (Y) The one where vince goes to front wheel on the last gap just before the see saw is a bit mental (Y)" Anyway, nice vid well worth the download, decent music, only thing i didnt like was the music right at the beggining, with the random voice, but who cares when the rest of the vid is that good. :)
  11. Same here, i got pro of normal limewire. But i have had the problem aswell, a song that always corrupts is ''Radio" by robbie :"> never works, whatever sources i get it from, oh well. I think maybe some songs are encoded so you cant share them in this way??? maybe i'm wrong, i mean i actually know sh*t all about computors.
  12. Exactly what Mark said - If its a good idea which people like it will catch on and there will be demand for it. All these people saying, ''oh, long low and silver, how crap'' are just being stupid. i mean seriously, if they were all crap designs then people wouldn't use them. And thats why all the popular, well designed frames have been "copied" by other manufacturers. Its because they are good, and the design is what is progressing the sport.
  13. I think i am right in saying that if you laquer it then you would never have to polish it. It would keep its shine. Not sure where to get laquer... probably a DIY store or maybe Halfords. Wait to see what other people reply though cos its not something i have tried myself.
  14. I had a similar problem when trying to fit a hope headset to my fattys. Basically the bottom of the the steerer was too wide for the bearings to fit, so in the end i gave up and got new forks. See what your LBS can do, but mine couldn't do anything. Good luck anyway and keep us informed if you come up with a solution.
  15. Lol i was going to say... why are we all looking at the chocolate when there's that bottle next to it :D" :-

Third one down on the list of this link is amazing - Park tool chain brute. Thats the one i use, it is simple to break and join the chain. And this is probably the best tool to use. ;)
  17. I am afraid i agree with Alexx, no need to get 50 ;) But anyway, last time this offer was on i ordered one and didn't ever get it, oh well... at least i am still alive, and i am having minted lamb burgers for dinner tonight (summit to look foward to) :D
  18. It does say lesson, i think you meant Leeson (Y)
  19. But that might offend people who are cultured and or sensetive :D Ha Ha, i think i have taken that joke a bit far! Tomturd if you feel a ban is appropriate, i understand.
  20. I totally agree. I am very aware of the politically correct nonesence going around at the moment because of my mum being a nurse (and has recently had to write articles for magazines etc), she has to refer to old people as, "older persons", so not to offend them. And she cannot say, he's the black man, she would have to say, he is the person of different ethnic origin. i think its just gone too far, i'm sorry, but it isn't racist to say, thats the chinese boy etc... because if anyone is offended by their own nationality, and what they are then they nare the ones who are out of hand. i mean, if i was in a school full of black and asian people and they were trying to describe me, i would not expect them to say, "oh he has brown short hair, brown eyes, is about 5'7"," etc, i would just expect them to say, he is the white bloke. Because i am not ashamed of being white, i am proud, and therefore not offended when people use it as a means of description. I think that black and asian people would feel the same, i mean i know that black people do refer to one another as niggers (I AM NOT BEING RACIST), i hear it all the time at school between black people, and none of them are offended by it, because it is not said in a malicious way, or intended to cause offence. Anyway back to the point, i do very much agree that it should not have been censored - i think in this modern socioty it is the "do-gooders" who are so worried about the whole p.c. thing that they don't take a step back and realise how stupid it is. I mean half the people who say, "oh thats so offensive" etc. aren't black or asian or whatever so they wouldn't know. And the actual people who should in theory be offended (if the do-gooders are correct) don't feel offended, or upset by it. Perspective people, Just get real
  21. Erm the "dickhead" comment was unnessisary i think. Tomm was just saying a simple thing in a non-melicious way... so wots the problem? (Y) Anyway, I would love to start up my own interior design business, and rival the "Mackie's of Lancaster" business (sorry - personal vendetta). Also, as mentioned, anything that really makes me happy is what i am aiming for. I would like to do something bike related, but not sure. I think my riding is still improving fast, so maybe one day i will do the nationals, and the worlds - doubt if it will earn me money though.

    Dream Team

Vincent Hermance (my hero) Benito Ros Gilles Coustellier Giacomo Coustellier Ben Slinger Simple as that, no one else. Yes Very UCI, but thats how i like it. All have a good compramise between crazy big and smooth easy style. None of them look shit when riding either.
  23. Absolutely brilliant job matey. Great to see that even the big bad pros have time to take into consideration this shared love that everyone has. just proves that they're quality guys aswell Top job, keep it up (Y) :-
  24. No the comotator said, "first guy to do a backflip on a trials bike" nothing to do with a comp. Ashton wasn't riding last year cos he broke his arm, and the year before that he wasnt riding cos he had a broken back, from trying a backflip in a random skate park. I think the Comp you are refering to was something in MBUK last month (i dont get MBUK so i wouldnt know), but unless it was more of a bike battle style comp as oppose to a traditional comp, i very much doubt it was a comp. Please correct me if i'm wrong
  25. yes i like it, but to be honest nothing we havent seen before. i like the CNC'd seat stay yolk, and i like the colour - not the usual silver. on the whole nice, but i'm not sure if i'd have it as my first choice (Y)"
