    Crashes

why do i watch these videos before riding! lol 2.15 in first vid, bristol, riding there 2mo, how the heck did he manage to front flip the bike of the drop lol
  2. what they should have done is made a courier movie about a guy who rides trials to get to the location quicker than anyone else! imagine the chase scenes! lol

    Roof Drop Crash

im using lgms's lol good thing i wear a helmet! lol to be honest though the problem with lgms is they are great but you have to keep you grind and break setup perfect or you have problems. to be honest though looking at the video, dropping that far and landing with your front end so high on a slippery skate park grind box probly wasnt the best idea regardless of the pads lol hope the guys ok though!
  4. have to agree, exellent riding, very enjoyable to watch the trials but please less caan's film festival editing! lol
  5. problem is to the trained eye its clearly dannys bike and not the road bike in the film lol that will be on bbc 3's movie mistakes soon lol
  6. you wana try mine luke. light grind on inspired "26" rims and a fairly new set of magura hs33 2011's been riding constantly for over a month with that set up wind, rain, mud and sun! and im only just starting to think about re grinding the rim a little

    Getflipped

nice video lads! although i must say brakeless street will never look as smooth on a mod, awesome riding though!
  8. medium grind is the wrong way to go with these pads. i run them front and back and originally i had a medium grind on back and light on front. the front was the bollocks strait away! but the back was not as expected, when the grind wore down a bit they started to bite and hold lovely. and make lots of noise! lol this is gd for another reason, you will get more life out of your rim only having to do light grinds! i have found with my limey 3 frame which is a bit flexy that i get good bite and good hold although sometimes i need to apply more than average pressure for them to hold. also as mentioned you should keep the rim clean, i find they grip like a hobbo to a ten pence piece when there is light rain but i assume this is just the rim being cleaned by the water. The other day i actually used meths to clean the rear rim and to my surprise when i started riding it there was no noise what so ever! until i had riden for an hour and the niose came back. it was off putting though not having the reassuring shreek of these pads lol
  9. not sure exactly yet, i think we are going to an old quarry or sumfin. add yourself to south west trails on facebook and any new info will be on there m8.
  10. nice little vid. have to agree you guys looked cramped on the bikes lol specially the lad on the dark blue stock. weymouth is near portland aint it? few of us heading down to portland on sunday if your up for it, add yourselves to "south west trials" group on facebook lads.
  11. bolts are cheaper than a tin of wd40 lol
  12. not sure exactly were they live but there are a few near plymouth on the cornish side. also if you have fazcebook check out the south west trials group, realy good way of meeting other local riders
  13. overfill the brake slightly when you bleed it, this will have the same effect as the tpa. my rear brake on the limey i have overfilled, (the pads are out by about 4mm either side)the brake works fine. aslong as you dont go too extreme with the overfill like 10mm each side lol. this then leaves me with full adjustment on the tpa and on the 2011 levers im running i can also adjust the feel of the lever with the "i dont no what its called" allen bolt on the levers that adjusts how the lever sits. this also means i can run pads down for longer

    Back Wheel !

no idea about new bearings. if it is an open bearing hub the bearings are individual and will need to bought that way. if its a sealed bearing hub you will need a cartridge bearing.
  15. yes rubber can be compressed thats why you put in way more than you think is needed! obviously this is still not the best way to set up bars and stem lol I would personnally never do this on my trials bike. i would simply read the specs on parts to avoid this ever being an issue! lol

    Back Wheel !

well all i can do then is make a suggestion. take the back wheel off and look at the end of the axle. the peice that is usually round with gripy grooves on (which makes contact with the inside of the frame when you tighten the axle bolts) may turn if the hub uses open bearings. make sure this is tight on both sides, then re fit the wheel and tighten the axle bolts. check to see if the problem is fixed, if it is not fixed i can think of two other options, 1)you have damaged or missing bearings 2)the hub axle is broken(snapped) and that is why the wheel twists side to side - i expect you would have noticed this though if you have had the wheel off. it may be non of these things but without more info i cant help you any more. http://www.rocknrollbikes.com/trials/hubs/onza-rear-open-bearing-hub-32-hole.html click on the pic on that page to enlarge and you will see what i meant the silver nuts on the axle are locking nuts, behind them is another piece which can be screwed along the axle towards the bearings. these hold the bearings in. tighten them BUT NOT OVERLY TIGHT or you'll just lock up the bearings. then bring the lock nuts up to them to lock them in position. then re fit the wheel!
  17. pad them around with some innertube? not an ideal slution but ive done it on an old bike. p.s always check your specs before purchsing parts!

    Back Wheel !

question 1. which hub do you have? may be just need to tighten the seals on the hub a little before tightening the axle bolts. but this may not be the case depending which hub you have. a link to a picture of the hub would also be handy
  19. come on then tell us were it is lol

  21. realy good vid, as i always say nice to see a mod video which isnt just sidehops up walls! :)
  22. definatly i would say, considering you can ride trials upside down! lol
  23. i would guess no to start with but obviously you would need to invest in at least an onza frame to work your way up to the top of the acadmey thingy lol p.s i already have an onza 26, better get a video done!
  24. gutted we were there from ten till half 11 but the guys wanted to ride somewere else.
