  1. pretty narrow, isnt it? run mine at 710mm(uncut),and theyre a tad too short,my syntace VRO had 740 and were perfect, too less rise though
  2. carbon seems to be a weird one, even on an alu bar i´d just say the top coat is cracked due to flex... if thats about to snap i´d say carbon´s pretty dangerous in that application though
  3. watched my get entry again, and from the point of view i got now(was disappointed at first),it came out pretty nice for the time and spots i had. little downside:youtube f*cked the quality(as usual) and stabilized my vid without me telling it to do,which is kind of weird
  4. you were telling me not to give up my day job and i tried to act funny.again.with no success.
  5. as long as you change your inner cable once in a while you should be fine.
  6. someone gota pic of a can of worms? nah, youll get different answers from everyone, personal preference as both have teir pros and cons. i´m with magura, loads of power
  7. you mean forum dickhead?no way!
  8. the pics screaming:"my resolution sucks,so familybiker had to edit single pixels instead of polygone sections,so no complaaaaints!" edit:looking at adams again i´d say much effort for nothing from my person lol,his is better
  9. guinea pig means "cuy" in peruvian spanish, and whos frame is named "cuy"? copyright infringement! i actually patented the name "the cuy" for a bicycle frame here in germany, but yes,was a joke edit:will get you a nice pic sorted, dave.i´m not quite sucking at gimp 2.6
  10. thanks,but how they compare to a 4-finger maggie lever?2005 of course
  11. i think the booster is your main problem, the rest of your setup looks fine to me.
  12. have no evidence, but nope,i dont think carbotecture is stronger in the long run. but if that was your question:i´ve never seen a cracked 05 lever live, only on the net. have an echo tr lever on its way to me to try if thats something for me,if i dont like it i´ll go for a tensile, they look massive and have alu tpa/piston. heard of tensiles leaking, but hopefully they got round to fix this. did anyone ride a tr lever and can tell about the leverage?will i get close to a 4-finger 05 blade?
  13. some of your vids were way better but for the circumstances you mentioned its still pretty awesome to watch.
  14. heard of many cracking at the sharp edge of the body near the cylinder, but fortunately my 05(its from december 09 though) is going strong since 2010. mine isnt even modified, may have been lucky until now
  15. for the non-quoted text:yeah,i shouldnt´ve been coming across that way, sorry.get what you mean. for the quote: thats a pic from the german trials forum, the guy told about the lever pivot loosening all the time,so he fixed it with a ziptie. got no other pics then that copied-and-pasted one here, but several stories of other people reached me per pm(i asked how they get on with their 14s,because i really was interested in them really being better now). seems to be a new common thing
  16. no,i havent tried a 14,but seen dozens of 11s that gave up leaking or had damaged lever pivot links on trekking bikes due to the carbotecture material or a bad joint of the lever and the pivot system.HELLO???TREKKING bikes! they didnt change the material.okay, radial master could make a difference, but i wouldnt take the risk of getting a 90.-€ brake that leaks(like 11s did) or looses the lever pivot bolt(as some of the german forum guys experienced yet with their 2014s) if theyres an alternative made from metal, having slaves laying around. i´m just giving advice in the limitation of my knowledge, just like you. i just know its limited... :wink2: edit:i predict someone to flood this thread with polemic phrases now, followed by people joining in out of their solidarity. same old thing, but its okay.its the internet
  17. if they made one gpu from silicium, and the other from rubber, which one you´d buy?
  18. ´14 a perfected ´05?seriously? a "bettered" 05 would be a tensile tocco or a racingline
  19. ^^you know what a "pink sock" is? hahaha someone did it,awesome! i am mainly riding in dark socks, mostly because it looks stupid when you ride and bend your knees on pedal ups and such, and you see bright coloured socks under dark training pants. good one, mate!
  20. hope i didnt misunderstood your post back in the days when i was taking this and that, here and there(not quite often though),it was like:production site-friend-me,so i cut that all out but all in all yes, there was more of that "someone does someone else a favour" behavior then, everything came frome people you know personally.and there were no "meows" and other non-finalized molecules,no crystal meth,no crack,no spice. nowadays all of that is flooding the streets in big cities, thats dangerous for kids being in the same age now as i was back then. those have the same will to try it all out as we got when we were young but only get todays dirty stuff
  21. hey,i got silver spokes! but only because i wanted sapim strong,no back ones were there when i ordered.
  22. lighter, hmmm, okay,by a marginal amount, but why stronger? lets say they´d take mild steel spokes, they´d be stronger than niro? as far as i know theyre niro but painted, making them the same strength,´d agree with the weight then though
  23. bah, cathaines.i´m so glad i´ve grown out of all this and was part of the generation which got mainly clean stuff. tried out a lot in my youth, but wouldnt dare to now, back in the days there was some kind trust, todays drugs just scare me off
