  1. also look out for marinos based on the fourplay geo. ..and some 24s are more street orientated and others more pure trials. I assume if you are a BMXer you are interested in street style like McSkills, so look for a shorter wheel base similar to inspired bikes.

    New Tra Vid

Im really enjoying watching him do street trials.
  3. Mc Skills is through to the finals, so you gotta vote!!
  4. If you start trying these: trackstands, narrow lines, hopping and rocking, small endos and raising the front. Work a fair bit on balance, it will make rear wheel hops easier to learn because you won't spend so much time repositioning. Once you have a small bit down, the progression of what to learn is sort of obvious. like oojackoo saysvisit trashzen, and also watch these: street Trials Tutorial
  5. Looks mint! Try hovering your body much further forward over the bars, I found this was my difference to MTB.
  6. Give it a couple of weeks and it will start to feel normal. I think you have to continually ride both for one not to feel abnormal. The handlebars and stem can make quite a bit of difference too.
  7. I don't know whats wrong with your hub but just in case you don't know; you can replace the bearings in most Hubs, if its an echo you can do it for definite. you can get them for a couple of quid off ebay or more expensive ones off tarty. Just check the code on the bearings.
  8. Im on the side of the echo, plus a mint bike is better because you can just ride without having to worry about rusty bits and dodgy bearings etc... Plus Im guessing that when people have snapped cranks and forks on these they're pro's doing huge drop offs and gaps, so if you're fairly new its probably going to be a while before you are snapping forks and cranks.
  9. Bump, -just so this thread doesn't end up under a load of crap.
  10. are you talking the full build ? I have the frame, and I am well happy with it.
  11. Yes I have been doing it totally wrong then, I will try it the other way, it will save me loads of hassle, thanks for the advice!!!
  12. lol, my foot fits in there fine, but I wedge it in quite far and the brake line rubs on the inside of the fork. also just for clarity im not talking abut the crossover, its the slave to lever line. but i can only do about four things, and I've nearly got these down.... ... and no, im not ready to go brakeless...
  13. I have fed my brake line through my forks using a gusset hole in head, but now because of the shape at the bottom of my forks, my foot jamming is compressing my brake line against the inside of the fork. Its going to break if i keep doing it. So i need to cut an oval shaped hole in the fork higher up to let the brake line out. I would just like some opinions on how to do it or alternatives first.
  14. Im thinking thats a decent price too, you won't loose much if you decide to sell it on either.
  15. I can't believe he did a planche on his bike, thats crazy, I wonder how long he held if for.

    180's ?

my bmx mates 360 flat with their back wheel really low, like the video matt posted, they don't pro hop it properly, but check out ryan leech's pedal punch 180 flats, he pulls up the rear to give clearance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_L-IgBiMqA I guess if you re using the moves in trials doing a full pro hop leg pull up will mean you can 180 over benches and rocks and not just flat.
  17. I can't help wit much, but if you search the forum for holroyd you will see a load of stuff previous bike prices and comment about it etc.. But also the price can vary a lot depending on components obviously. But yeah hopefully other people can help more.
  18. I changed my echo tr rear bearings with some ones of ebay for a quid. there is a shim on either side of the hub holding it together (just wedge a srewdriver in it) surprisingly the wikipedia page about hubs was really useful. the rest is like greetings said, twat the axle proper hard.
  19. lol, video is oldskool but very useful, cheers for your help mate.
  20. Ah wicked mate, I was just using the first half to gain speed, but if I use it to bring the front up to my normal pedal kick height it makes a bit more sense.
  21. Im learning the 3/4 stroke (is that what its called) pedal pattern so I can pedal up, But I just wanted to clarify something. On the first half turn from your bad foot I gain quite a bit of speed so this means I have to kick my good foot super hard, right ? What Im trying to say is that the pedal strokes aren't even its normal then super hard while jumping ? I hope that makes sense...
  22. Yeah an orthesis is a good idea (stiffer is better), i haven't tried a tens machine either. Normally physios give you a big elastic band that works well, because you can adjust the tension. these type of things: http://www.physio-line.co.uk/acatalog/Resistance_and_Exercise_Bands.html Also, I would say be careful if you decide to ride, because you could unexpectedly do something that puts force on the area, which will increase your recovery time. You are risking ligaments tearing, surgery or even irreversible joint damage, as that fibrous area is for the support of your bones. The less you ride the sooner you will be able to ride.
  23. I havent had that injury but, just hassle your Physiotherapist for as much treatment as possible and keep it in a splint. Try not to use your hand at all apart from any physio exercises and massages you have to do. Using a hot water bottle can increase circulation and speed recovery. I've had ultrasound treatment a few times and it worked great too. Other than that just eat good food, and avoid alcohol like the plague. Also you can try ginger root (if you don't mind spicy stuff), just get a piece about the size of a finger and blend it with hot water then sieve out the juice after 15mins and drink it. I've found its really helped before, but theres no medical basis for it, but lots of people recommend it.
  24. Did they say any of the joint cartilage is damaged ? or is it just the fibrocartilage that is damaged ? I think the fibrocartilage is mainly ligamenty stuff, so it should heal over time right ? did they offer you physio ? ultrasound should speed up the process.
