  1. One for the really old skoolers amongst us : Anyone remember in Evolve or Revolution ( lol VHS ) where Libor Karas' pads audibly popped right out ?
  2. A perfect cycling video . I expect Cannondale / Specialized / Marin etc would kill to have a promo vid like that . Incredible .
  3. Nice riding spot ! It seems the trials video scene has finally figured out that decent cinematography and edition a la skate / bmx clips looks soo much better . ( gorgeous ) Track is Zero 7's " Give it away . " Is this further preparation for a possible Tartybikes full video / DVD sometime ?
  4. Looks like so much fun ! Also impressive to see how very competent riders are able to bail / screw up calmly , crashing safely requires practice too .
  5. Kenny having to be very careful with the smooth perspex stage floor offering scarcely any grip .The carpet , however must be awesome for friction .
  6. At that price , definitely go for 'em - mine feel great ! Do you intend to use it front or rear ?
  7. Looks good ! How are you achieving chain tension ? Coincidentally convenient chainstay length and chainring / sprocket sizes ? Halflink / Black Magick ?
  8. Park Tool's website is always helpful for maintenance and assembly questions .
  9. Damned right ! The whole thing started as a small scale " hey let's chuck some pallets in a small building somewhere" - as it is now we have a huge hangar / garage of which a sizeable zone will be trials related stuff . Trials being as unknown as it is in Holland , that section should draw weird glances from the skaters / BMXers who are to be our customers . Some of these are killer designs , glad I asked for help ' cause I'd have embarrased myself if I'd gone with the original idea . What is the file format I'd need to be able to scale it up / down for letterheads / flags / etc without losing quality ? Thanks again for your ideas and efforts ( !!!rainbow Comic Sans underlined !!! ) this whole thing from desolate biking scene to almost complete indoor park really is the result of donations and positive humans being surprisingly helpful and encouraging .
  10. Dude -when I posted a photo of myself in Senior Member chat it was meant to stay there .
  11. 5th April ride in Amsterdam ? Look forward to seeing you again !

  12. Oh my ,What a response ! :king: Some killer designs here , despite a restrictive and unimaginative brief , way better than I'd expected . Gonna have a tough time when we come to select the best one week from now . Thanks for your input thus far .
  13. Quite right , it should read " Under ground" whereas my crappy mockup kinda read ground under :$ And yes absolutely a smaller rectangular field around the text , a la business card / flag . Thanks for your efforts ! This is what I wanted to hear . I'd rather hear detracting comments from you guys than visitors / skaters . As to the brief - wasn't sure whether you'd prefer greater freedom , or refinement of ( an apparently poorly thought out ) concept . Matthew 62's first would one look great with fatter lettering for " Ground " and the word " under" beneath it rather than above as I originally thought . Thanks for your criticisms and efforts . The winning design gets incredibly rich and famousmildly known in a small provincial Dutch city !
  14. Myself and a fellow rider are in the final stages of opening an indoor skatepark in Leiden . This has been a damned laborious task , often met with disinterest from local council but we persevered and managed to secure donations of a whole warehouse and a sizeable collection of wooden ramps Today a whole community of us riders / skaters and BMXers assembled the ramps , cleaned the premesis and are putting the final touches to "Project Underground . " Here's where you fellas and ladies come in : We need a logo for flags / banners / flyers etc and talented though we are - none of us are terribly graphically inclined , but I know many of you are . We're hoping someone can improve and clean up this : Yup , it's a quick , sloppy MS Paint , but essentially what we want in terms of colour / layout etc . The dimensions of the black background should be wider than it is taller , so like an A4 on it's side / landscape . ( suitable for a flag.) Feel free to utilise differing fonts but we esentially want a large fat blue "UNDER and a smaler , thinner white "Ground "across the top right thereof . Your reward for so challenging a task ? The whole thing thus far has hinged on donations , community support and and a bunch of guys tying to achieve something positive so hopefully you'll be content to follow suit . We will of course send you photos of the flags / signs / banners in situ and I guess you're welcome to come ride anytime ! That plus the undying gratitude of a Senior Member and lots of happy skaters / BMXers seeing your work daily .
  15. Thanks ! Behold : Onza adaptors and my trusty old blue booster , literally used on every trials bike I've owned since probably the early 90's ! Plenty of controllable stoppin' power , even without exotic pads . These are just the generic clear Barradine / trialtech ones chewing on a semi sharp grind : I wonder if Mr.Clarkson's approval is related to my rejection of hydraulics ?
  16. Thanks Wimmeretz , but I'm pretty much smitten with my King . As for Eskimo's suggestion , not the type I'm lookin' for unfortunately , thanks though . Anyone else ?
  17. Can anyone suggest a retailer that still offers Try Alll's 26" rear rims in ( preferably blue ) colours ? Failling that , any 36 hole fat as f**k coloured rim other than the Viz . Hope this ain't too trivial a question to start a topic , but I need to replace my existing one soon . I'll throw this one open to the Wanted forum too , perhaps someone has spare that's not been terribly abused by some uncoordinated basher ? Any ideas ?
  18. Really cool lookin' bike , it's great when new kit rekindles the enjoyment of riding ! Cooler still that you can simply visit Tarty's and presumably watch 'em assemble your bike .
  19. I think I'll be watching this topic closely to see people's opinions as I'm in much the same situation . I'm running a Koxx Karbon ( absurdly long ) yet retain a fondness for the whole bunny'ops / manuals / spins vibe . I guess you can achieve some advantage by tilting riser bars backwards slightly , but as you suggested , a shorter / taller stem would probably radically influence " popability " .
  20. Some cool collections ! I'm gonna have to find a larger book case for my collection of Occult related books . Well over 130 books by now concerning anything pertaining to witchcraft , Demonology ,Satanism and black magick including some fiendishly hard to find editions by Crowley , Montague Summers , Cassiel et al . * is not a creepy reclusive weirdo whose soul burns with a yearning to unleash the Elder Blood Gods whose pestilential reign will damn mankind to eternal torment *
  21. Really great fun , loved it !
  22. Had this frame for about 6 months now and am very comfortable on it , having always wanted to find one of these sadly discontinued beauties . Recently added a whole bunch of shiny componentry in anticipation of a good Summer's riding . Wasn't terribly keen on the Koxx graphics , so whited ' em all except that glorious laquered toptube . The previous owner felt it necessary to drill the headtube ( former ) flagship model competition frame too heavy for you , Sir ? V brakes and a King hub , so why the Hell can't I ride as smoothly as Felix Mucke now ? :$ Comments / death threats / marriage proposals ?
  23. Shame you gave up on Vs , correctly set up they offer great braking . I use the inspired V pads on a pretty sharp grind good results ( slightly less so in wet weather ) and need to replace 'em every 4 months or so . Speaking of stopping - commas and full stops work well too occasionally .
  24. Wait , are you using enough spacers on the actual body ? The lockring needs to tighten up against the last spacer which itself presses against more spacers , the cog , then the base of the body ( nearest the spokes . )
