  1. I guess around 1998 MBUK published pictorials featuring Hawyes and Ashton hopping around on small bikes , then I bought the famous Tricks and Stunts video ( LOL VHS ) and was hooked .
  2. Sweet video as always , Sky looks tasty . Brakeless Planet - X ?
  3. Well over a month later and I'm totally amazed at how a good frame can radically alter riding style and good old fashioned enjoyment . It took some getting used to since it's forerunner was a Base TA26 but this frame just feels so much better in terms of geometry and build quality - especially the rear triangle is just stiff as Hell . Kinda disturbing that it's previous owner felt it necessary to drill the headtube - professional competition bike too heavy for you , Sir ? Still - a bargain at 90 Euro even if she snaps tomorrow !
  4. Certainly an idea for the ultra weight weenies .
  5. Oh my - good morning ! Superb relaxed and explanatory video , is this an episode of Kenny Beleay's upcoming T.V series ?

Nonsense ! I've enjoyed every one of your videos , and this is no exception . Great stuff .
  7. Girl trouble ...yeah that's about right . These Dutch ladies are good looking , well dressed and pretty damned smart too , but entirely inaccessible . ( To me anyway . ) Maybe if I start wearing a baseball cap at a jaunty angle , spitting on the street and generally behaving like some idiotic wannabe gangster they'll notice me ?
  8. This looks so fun , and makes the sport acessible for everyone . Is this an annual event ? If so , I'd love to attend .

Another completed one . Godamned pen was running out , hence uneven streaks in hair . Why yes , I am fascinated with medieval European architecture , why do you ask ?
  10. Sorry to hijack , but how about a Hope hub I bought second hand - no receipts ? Do they demand proof of purchase ?

Some sick creations in here , I'm as impressed by people's concepts as the actual execution . Another incomplete one of mine that never really went anywhere , kinda drew myself into a corner and was unable to finish the damned thing .

Good stuff in this thread . My geeky fascination with medieval European architecture and arcane symbolism leads to these sometimes ... This first one is done on the back of an large envelope , really nicely textured , grainy paper with a suitable parchment look : A rare attempt at portrait: Hours with pens and protractors : And my most intricate effort : ( Those last 2 blackened using Photoshop , 'cause it requires no artistic ability and saves several hours and expensve pens . ) Kinda been a while since I really finished a good one , I expect to sketch more during the coming winter .
  13. WoW ! A few more years and his sketchiness will sublimate into smoothness and he'll have progressed further still in technique . It can't be long before some unknown Russian fellow gives the Euro champions a run for their money at UCI world level .
  14. Oh my ! This looks SO much better than the previous Gu frames , especially with the blue + white colour combo .
  15. The longer clip on VW's site is really cool too ! It's incredible how calmly he handles bails .
  16. Holy poop ! Just a whole other level of riding - incredible .
  17. Great lookin' bike . If he can ride that like he does his mod I'm expecting an awesome video !
  18. I guess you must mean the splined variant as opposed to square taper . I was gonna buy splined Trialtechs , but this is worrying to read . A lot of 'em failed ?
  19. Which V adaptor are you running ?
  20. Having ridden a pretty conventional bike over the last few years , I finally decided to go trials specific . Second hand frame , but in superb condition . Pretty high rise bars , but I'm a tall fella and it suits the bike's relatively short wheelbase . Thankfully it doesn't have absurd B.B rise , either . I'd always wanted this sadly discontinued frame and am already pretty comfortable with it . Incredibly stiff back end , SO obedient on the back wheel . Temporary cheapo crankset ! Kinda selling out , as I feel Seniors should ride conventional saddled bikes , preffereably with DCD chain tensioners . Despite the 4 bolt mounts , I see no reason to abandon V brakes . I kinda bought this opportunistically knowing that I'd never get another chance at a Karbon , and I'm amazed at Koxx's the quality of construction . I've never ridden a bike that felt so right , it's really rekindled my enjoyment of riding now and this should keep a smile on my face throughout the winter .
  21. For an apparently impromptu ride , this seems to have yielded the most impressive street video I've seen so far this year .Absurdly smooth and inventive riding all round .
  22. I would imagine it's just fine for a starter , and besides the absurdly talented Felix Mucke chose to ride one this season . That's a pretty resounding endorsement .
  23. Glorious bike ! Certainly among the best lookin' ones of any wheelsize ever posted , looks like it must be a lot of fun to ride .
  24. These Barradine things on the rear , once set up and worn in they offer plenty of grip and last 2-3 months . On the front just the standard Shimano units supplied with the brake .
