  1. Also , that Mountain King looks a bit threadbare .
  2. Very cool , the silver HiFi looks great . It's readily apparent from the spectators' reactions that they've never seen a bike ridden thus .
  3. Incredible ! Does Felix Mucke still roll with the Braunschweig ( spelling ) boys ?
  4. Kenny Belaey's big time trials adventure is also pretty informative , not to mention that the heroes of the old skool -Ot Pi et al are interviewed and shown still rippin' s**t up . Must watch .
  5. Nice diversity of riding spots and superb riding , but I'm terrified on your behalf about those loose shoelaces so close to moving pedals / freewheel .
  6. Ridiculously detailled , so impressive . I can only wonder if Mr.Deng's original plans were as carefully thought out .
  7. Poop - can't delete my post , nevermind me ... :$
  8. Superb service and rapid delivery ( to Holland anyway . ) Are you ever near Den Haag / Scheveningen ? Would be great to ride with you again .
  9. Looks like a lot of fun , very tempted to get one too . How do those brakes feel ?
  10. I work in 3 prisons in West Holland as a corrections officer , nights only . Trying to cut back and go to Airport security . Fascinating , ever had someone say all's well but you suspect they're under duress ?
  11. That looks superb - it'll accept any signal you can offer it . If you get that receiver or one like it , you're good to go , just get plenty of speaker cable and of course a way to get sound from your TV to it . ^ those will do for TV and PC . What brand are the speakers you've been given , and is the sub active ( has a power cord ? )
  12. Be aware that T.V signal will be 2 channel , so what your receiver / surround amp does with won't be true 5.1 surround sound , like Dolby Digital or DTS that is encoded on DVD / Blu Rays . When a receiver gets a signal from T.V , regardless of which type of cable is used it'll just do 2x left and 2x right , with dialogue from the centre channel . It may attempt to mimic true surround by offering Pro Logic , but it ain't surround sound . Does your PC have a half decent sound card oferring an optical output ? If so , presuming your files / media are fully encoded you can feed the receiver Dolby Digital or DTS and the receiver will decode that into proper discrete channels . Quick edit ; your candidates ain't terribly sexy , if you can stretch to an entry level Yamaha or even Sony's STR range you'll have a decent amp and they offer enough inputs for your TV / I Pod / games console etc simultaneously .
  13. Sehr geiles bike , stahl oder alu ? The Vee brake looks a lot neater than the disc you were running before .
  14. Very cool riding and neat photography too . Wait- that bike's brakeless , right ? Must be a really momentary move to prevent the bike from scooting forwards from underneath you . Love to see playful BMXy moves .
  15. I'm not one for quoting statements in my signature , but if I were , this would be a prime candidate .
  16. Park tool's website offers really helpful guides for most commonly occuring repairs .

    Speed Trials

Prototype stock : Speed trials seems so much more audience / media friendly aswell , it's readily apparent what the riders are trying to achieve .
  18. Did the collapsing pallet obstacle the first mod rider hit incur a penalty point ?
  19. Wet wood - hard to imagine a more treacherous surface . Also a cool pornstar name ? Throughout I was most impressed by his setups , really deliberate and controlled .
  20. As stated above for the stripping , as to painting - this well written guide should be of some interest . This frame's second hand ? You suggested it's pretty scratched up , deeply even - before investing the time and effort to strip and paint it be sure to inspect it carefully for any cracks .
  21. Welcome , guess you kinda like cycling , huh ? Seems only natural to add trials to your repertoire . Imminent expenditure ? Damn right , the familiar spiral of "I just upgraded this component , so now that part seems too heavy / weak / mismatched . "
  22. Riding with others of all skill levels is inestimably helpful especially when just starting out , not to mention a lotta fun . Keep your eyes on the rides & locations section hopefully you can hook up with your local scene .
  23. I was gonna write exactly that , but thought Hawziee's faux Welsh accent would be too obscure a refference . I only hope the topic starter doesn't expect any advice from me about sidehoppin' . :$
  24. Certainly a ridiculous video , but he ain't " new " at all , this degree of competence takes years to perfect . Him and Thomas Oehler have been exuding effortless control for years , as evidenced by . Interesting to note he's still running that unusual Syntace stem after all these years .
  25. A helpful way to learn gaps is to do so without hopping . Simply get into a comfortable backhop ,open your rear brake, roll forwards on the back wheel , stop and do it again , like a sequence of short manuals . Should help with the timing of opening the rear brake , pedalling and locking up again .
