  1. Glorious velocipedes : I need more money ...
  2. I'm a student of the ancient and noble art of Bi - King .
  3. We really should submit a signed petition to Mr. Deng to reintroduce this frame . Surely he can simply set the frame jig up and produce another run of several hundred ? The old Pure , with conventional seattube and V - brake mounts was pretty much my dream bike for a long time .
  4. Kinda liked that , music and all . Ultimately , it's some fella having fun on a small expensive bike - cool .
  5. Great job , looks really neat . Tris - be aware that while Bigman's holes may well be square , you'll note that the edges are somewhat rounded off and I'm sure Mr.B did so deliberately to avoid allowing stress risers to accumulate at the edges .
  6. I hear you . On the rare occasions that I meet fellow trials riders here in Holland and am free to try out their expensive shiny bikes I'm restricted to a few tenative backhops and trackstanding 'cause I learned whilst in the U.K so am pretty much unable to operate bikes with the freaky Euro set up .
  7. Great service and fast postage from this shop , by the way .
  8. That last picture is just absurd , riding and photography wise . Vees don't freeze !
  9. Yup , stumped as well if you're certain that : The fork crown race is intact and snug around the steerer tube and the internals of the King headset are O.K. I'm presuming that the fork's steerer tube itself is entirely straight ? In your post on O.T.Nzzz you say it simply started to feel loose -what exactly is new here ? I mean is this an existing headset in a new frame / fork ? Has this combination of frame / fork and H-set been running O.K for a while or is there a recently introduced variable ? Either way , good luck with this , I'll be watching both threads just out of curiosity . It's not fair that someone with your determination and bravery should be denied the pleasure of riding by inexplicable technical gremlins .
  10. "My velocipede facilitated transportation to geographical and presumably metaphorical locations that an educational establishment was unable to " isn't as catchy . Quite a neat tee , by the way - manufactured by who ( m ) ?
  11. I encountered a similar situation where I was required to send a damaged frame from Holland to Ireland ( admittedly not as far as Russia to U.K . ) I cited similar concerns about cost , and the supplier , Bikedock informed me that the manufacturer would be satisfied with me either sending the damaged area from which the claim arose or the B.B shell as doing so would prove the frame was unrideable , hence me not rippin' 'em off . Mr.Tarty seems to be doing his utmost to facillitate a mutually satisfactory solution , but if MBK remain recalcitrant , then you're gonna have to play by their rules .
  12. Totally . Any variant of the 223 or 226 widescreen . They're great .
  13. Doing so correctly massively improves the bite of ( rim ) brakes and the desired end result should look like this :

    Jobs?

Was a corrections officer for 2 years in several prisons , but recently transferred to airport security agent - so my clientelle is now primarily attractive stewardesses instead of sociopathic convicts .
  15. I think Mr.Heatsink experimented with 24" wheels in an obviously stock Base TA26 frame , although no indication on how it felt / rode . Looks pretty good , though .
  16. That's a whole lotta hubs , makes for LOADS of engagement points using so many , though . Sorry , pointless fatuous post .
  17. Congratulations , and what a pleasant dilema . Unfortunately I've never ridden either , but I've always loved the look of the Carbon . Keep us updated when you get it !
  18. Had to be done . I'll resume my more traditional style of posting poorly written inaccurate opinions now .
  19. Given my username I feel duty bound to reply to this thread . However , Mr.Harrison pretty much made my point : Learning how to screw it up correctly inspires the requisite confidence to focus on the move instead of dental reconstruction .
  20. Neat ! That was indeed the final fingerprint of the Evil Corporation left intact - thanks .
