  1. http://www.damonrinard.com/36-24.htm ... great link . There's a wealth of authorative information here , ranging from wheelbuilding theory to respraying frames .Huge list of links to articles and manufacturers too .
  2. These slotted spoke holes shouldn't affect the building procedure . Just be sure though I'd like to hear Tarty's opinion on this , given his considerable knowledge and experience with wheelbuilds.
  3. Congratulations , dude .you can go ride with renewed vigour and enthusiasm now and Summer's just round the corner . Good to hear ( read ) about a freshly inspired rider .
  4. "...Having recovered from the whole turtle incident and after extensive psychotherapy , he decided it was time to ...
  5. ..."So he immediately set off on his bike , but unbeknownst to him , he forgot his..."
  6. Yeah , I run V-Brakes on a lightly ground Mavic D-521 . Excellent , predictable stopping power .V-Brakes are hugely underrated , but correctly set up with good cables and pad alignment , they can be plenty powerful , while retaining light weight . Pad and cable choice are crucial .
  7. Sure , you should be able to just hook up your I-pod to most amplifiers . Go here HERE for some erm... sound advice .
  8. Holy Poo ! That's gotta be one of the best BMX clips ever ! He uses really fast run ups for some of the moves , too . Definately keeping this video , awesome find .
  9. Try running this setup.Kinda heavy , though ... :D"
  10. Funny idea , great for social bonding , but utterly ineffective at altering the Earth's orbit in any way . Humans seem to think they're so damned powerful . Sure , there's lots of us but I reckon all humans alive now probably only cover 5 % of the Earth's surface , if that . Even then there are miles and miles of crust and mantle to dissipate any shock . It's like blowing into your own sails , the force needs come from outside . The entire human population jumping simultaneously would be comparable to 20 ants attempting to move a car . If I'm wrong , and when it happens there is any measurable movement , I will give whatever Trials bike I ride at that time to the first person on here who can post evidence . (Y)
  11. I live in Holland , and really want to see the Trials related footage . Any chance of someone ripping and uploading it , like the Halfords vid with Ashton and Hawyes ? Can't get MBUK out here , 'cos there's no mountain biking scene here , and it sure as Hell isn't the U.K . (Y) ... Obviously .
  12. There's also the difference between ISIS and Shimano's Octalink to consider . In my opinion , both offer increased rigidity and ease of arm removal / fitting over conventional square tapered BBs . I was certainly impressed when I replaced a square BB with a Shimano Octalink , definately noticing a certain "tightness." Also it's quite visually appealing , a hollow tube , allowing you to see through the Bracket area .
  13. From the site linked above "The bloodhound is the only animal in the world whose evidence is admissable in court." Interesting but it does suggest that we humans are perhaps not mammals ? Also , I understand that all males resident in the United Kingdom aged between 12 and 40 must , by law practice archery for 20 minutes a week . You did do your archery , didn't you ? Edit : Off the same site , too : "In Britain, in 1888, a law was passed which stated that every cyclist had to constantly ring the bell on his bicycle non-stop while the machine was moving."

    My Bruiser

Dude , someone else who rides trials on a Bruiser . I used to love mine.Great looking bike , but mine snapped at BB / Chainstay weld .
  15. Ha Ha ... loving those mid hop gurns .
  16. Wow ! that really set me up for riding on Sunday , thanks . Some awesome Ashtonian spins there , made me dizzy just watching the dammned thing . How do you retain tension in your chain ? It looks like the chain is just wrapped around a sprocket . Great clip , dude .
  17. Gosh , riding like that even back then . The guy really is rather talented . He's really playing with the bike , seems to be having loads of fun . The mark of a great rider , and imagine how good he's got since .
  18. I won't really be contributing because I live in Holland , but BBC's "Pro Celebrity Bogey" had me laughing my buttocks off .
  19. I'd also be interested in seeing this footage , any chance of a Trials-Shack link ?
  20. I'll vote for "The Office" , but it's a lesser of 2 evils , really. This might go over many heads here , but does anyone remeber the Mary Whitehouse experience ? Used to love that .
  21. Interesting , but presented in a sensationalist , incoherent way . I would be better convinced by a clear explaination of his theories , and sound reasoning for rejecting my own beliefs . Damn ex-hippie yanks .
  22. As stated above , you can switch back and forth , but only about 5 times (depending on manufacturer .) After the last one , your player will be locked into whatever setting you chose , so be careful or the majority of your DVD collection could be locked out .
  23. " Intricate Lacerations " ? Perhaps best if the individual who writes your lyrics thinks of something to match your vocal themes .
  24. My gosh ! The clothing ... the frame sizes ... the colours ! Great find .

    Random

Gandalf would surely emerge victorious from such an encounter .Truly Yoda is a formiddable opponent , but Gandalf is a "Keeper of the Secret fire " and a "wielder of the Flame of Arnor . "That said , no one in Middle earth is gonna have an easy time against a little f**ker with a Lightsabre . Besides , on Gandalf's part , it's a case of pick on someone your own size .
