  1. The Syntace setup is also used to great effect by Dominic Raab.I could tell you're European by the brake configuration before I even looked at your profile .That SL headset looks perfectly matched ,great looking bike .
  2. Afraid I can't suggest a courier or company ,but it's heartening to see that people are prepared to ship abroad . I've missed out on some killer deals on here because the seller balked at sending to Holland despite my assurances that I'll amply cover postage and as such the transaction requires no extra effort on the seller's part than simply writing the name of a country on the box . It's not as if the seller has to personally ride the blasted thing to the destination country , and unless the buyer wants it as a "present for my nephew in Nigeria" there's really no reason to decline foreign buyers ,many of whom will pay top dollar/Euro/moon credits because of scarcity of trials retailers in said land . Good show Edit : pff - Belgium ? As if that country has any good riders
  3. My Goodness, spectacular! Some killer lines and possibly most countries ridden in one video ? The whole rail vibe was ridiculous .
  4. Largely personal preference , but I'm very satisfied with Avid SD 7 levers Oddesey Linear slick cable Shimano XT arms Generic clear pads a la Trialtech etc Lightly ground Onza Ronnie rim Stiff booster Beyond that it's all about careful setup ,cutting the cable cleanly and ensuring that the cable / noodle don't exert force on the brake arms . In my case running a full length cable seems better than interrupting the outer at the frame's stops .
  5. Hey man ! Thought I'd find you on here , ride with you soon .

    Siiiick!

Blimey ! Some incredibly big riding and I love the combo at 05:58-spectacular !
  7. Ik schaam mij om Nederlander te zijn , bizar ! It seems to be a kinda promo for commerce or tourism in the city of Hoogeveen .Left me entirely bewildered but wishing my bike made visible sound effects like Zoeff and Thudd with every move too .
  8. The post mount on the frame or the brake itself ? Either way ,lovely lookin' Zoot !
  9. Maybe I lack anything to compare it with as I've been runnin' em for years now - almost exclusively on street at that since my area of Holland has zero natural spots except a beach For what it's worth I loves me some Conti's on my XC bike .
  10. Have Schwalbe's Big Bettys fallen out of vogue ? They've served me well for years and are inexpensive , grippy and hardwearing .

    My Czar

Rahmen = German for frames so not much help . I don't think Czar's 20" offerings had specific names unlike their stock counterparts , the Ivan and Freeridetrials .
  12. Probably little difference in terms of clamping force , but the difference is that the bolts depicted in the uppermost link screw onto a solid axle , whereas the the others screw into a hollow cylindrical axle . I guess the hollow axle like on Hope's Pro series an Chris King may be lighter and manufactured to higher tolerances than solid axles .

    Vid Wanted

Seems familiar , I think it's probably one of this fella's older videos when he was an Echo test rider. He's called Lee Shiming and the video may be around on one of the oldskool servers like Eengoedidee ( remember them ? )
  14. Ridiculous riding but unfortunate that so talented a rider has eluded the attention of a more skilled cinematographer .
  15. It really does look a lot better with a straight fork , really agile and playful . Full length outer cable, hence the zip ties ?I wonder if that top tube would be OK with drilling 2 holes to allow internal cable routing ?
  16. Hey Connor ,welcome ! Since you're already a cyclist ,trials should be an interesting challenge for you . This site offers plenty of useful information for beginners through to advanced levels . As to choice of bike , there's plenty of choice in terms of wheel size and intended use - have a look through our bike gallery to get a feel for what's available and what you like the look of .
  17. The whole thing comes across as kinda narcissistic but he's got some powerful moves and combos .

    Wheels

This guide might help you get a feel of the different types and sizes available .
  19. You weren't kidding about "years ago"! Great to see older riders still riding or rediscovering the sport . There's a lotta steel street frames from the likes of NS et al , but most would be wholly unsuited to trials .
  20. You seem to be running one of those non quick release skewers that run through the entire axle or am I seeing the pics wrong and it's a bolt on hub ? If it's one of those skewers , try replacing it with QR version , most Shimano ones offer good clamping force .
  21. It sounds like you're overly reliant on your arms , this should be all in the legs/ ankles . This article on Trashzen should be really helpful .
  22. Oldskool T-F picture watermark ! Also: Tenbytrials .
  23. Sorted innit ? First impressions suggest that this frame has an incredibly stiff back end and that I urgently need to quit smokin' Fully rigid as it is , feedback from the trail is just on the right side of being uncomfortable .It just needs some tasty brake levers and the remnants of Summer to be reasonable .
  24. Having waited for parts to arrive from well over 5 different shops and sellers , it's time to start buildin' a general use playbike .Featuring a healthy mix of parts from trial manufacturers and regular MTB companies based on a 2nd hand Chameleon frame in killer condition , seriously - it's in literally new condition ! It's gonna be S.S as I live in one of the topographically flattest lands in Europe and I like the elegant simplicity . Spare trials wheelset with fat rear rim , this ain't gonna be supalite , but plenty of fun !
