  1. Without an audio interface you won't be able to record directly from one into the other. You'll just have to record and quantize the sound you want, bounce the track down and insert it as an audio track in Logic.
  2. Bear in mind the laws on breaks are different either side of 18 years of age.
  3. I'd have to say yes, but only if it's used liberally so the number of people on the roads goes down; I hate rush hour!
  4. Secure storage of files/data, playing tetris....
  5. I work in one of these bunkers, near Bath/Corsham. I believe it's connected to Burlington, but it's been bricked off at both ends.
  6. Well i'll admit it's a risky business, but then again you won't ever find an investment that is risk free! Best of luck JT I bet you'll be watching those prices like a hawk from now on.
  7. I would buy $6m of Income Bonds and watch the interest come flooding in.
  8. Or Antoine Dufour! Pretty incredible stuff. John Butler also. One of my good friends from college is a truly incredible guitarist. He's never had a lesson in his life, has been playing for 6ish years and is just incredibly talented. Download one of his acoustic tracks here. I also recorded him playing both parts of John Butler's Oceans if anyone's interested!!
  9. Well obviously it's a higher spec but it's well over £100 more than both mine and the OPs lists. I was window shopping the other day and it's amazing what spec PC you can build for even £600 these days. It might just be me but there seems to be a bigger price gap between the absolute cutting edge components and the mid-range than there ever used to be. Good thing for people who want a fairly fast casual-gaming pc methinks. Edit: Bear in mind I made that list with absolute minimum price in mind. Although I could lose another £30 or so by going for 1GB ram and a smaller hdd.

    Day Insure

Just so you know, most fully comp policies only allow you to drive the 3rd party vehicle when it is insured simultaneously by the owner or keeper.
  11. I think a smaller minimum post limit with a time limit would work. So for example 50 posts and 3 weeks before you're allowed to post things for sale. Most people that join forums just to sell stuff do it straight away so that would sort that out at least. The 50 posts would show that they're taking it seriously too.
  12. If it's just the soundcard you're having problems with, get an external audio interface such as This or This. Don't bother with a 'fancy' sound card you can find on PC component websites such as OcUK or Ebuyer etc. The majority of them are actually just fads. It's the quality of the A/D-D/A converters that you're paying for, and for the price the two i've mentioned above are pretty much the best you'll find.
  13. Uhhhhhhh...not necessarily. You will find a lot of speakers that are a single cone, for general purpose use or high-end.
  14. I am from Trowbridge yeah, but i'm ashamed to say that I gave up riding not long after starting cause I discovered how bad my balance is Maybe if I was a bit more patient/confident I might be able to actually give it a good shot but you know. Maybe another time!
  15. Are you two the guys that I often see down by the Council Offices next to Hellfrauds?
  16. Ahh fair enough. I did do a brief search for it but couldn't find anything, and i'll be damned if i'm gonna look through the forum to find it myself
  17. An absolutely amazing show of skill here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qDi13GuaBQ8

    Janson

What the f**k! Rest in peace Janson dude.
  19. My numberplate snapped off my bike and one of the straps broke on my bag, whilst on the bike, on the way to college...

    Braces

I would say go for it now while a) it's free and b ) the braces will work properly... I had braces a few years ago as I had a few seriously messed up teeth, including a top incisor growing almost directly behind another but braces sorted it out. The only thing I never did was wear my retainer, which i REALLY regret. If i'd used the retainer properly, my teeth would still be perfectly straight, but they've all moved back a little bit, which sucks basically. So yeah, do it.
  21. Chances are the new ones will be the same price They always are. I'd like to get a Macbook but the tiny screen really puts me off. I'm used to using a 20"+ screen and I don't think i'd ever quite adapt to using a 13" screen. To all of you slagging off Mac Minis...bugger off Mine's a 1.4Ghz G4 with 512MB of RAM and i've got Logic 8 running on it just fine! It also gives me a choice of screen and peripherals. I've got a 20" Dell screen, a white mac keyboard and a Microsoft mouse.
